  1. This is how they were supposed to beat this team. Just as good teams win ugly games, good teams also take it to bad teams over the course of the game.
  2. For those who blame Whaley for the EJ pick, I've always believed DW should be judged on the drafts beginning with 2014, the first full year with his staff, monos and fisher.
  3. You using recent quotes when she is totally corrupt. The quote I used was when she was young, and only partially corrupt....
  4. Hillary a leftist? Hah! On the ME, she is a neocon. And she is certainly pro-Wall Street. As she described herself, a Goldwater conservative.
  5. He's still giving up completed passes. I can't believe Whaley extended him....
  6. Premature celebration. All it does is make the CFPB akin to any other federal department. They will still be around to keep tabs on Wells Fargo and the Vampire squid....
  7. I said to my friend as we watched that Taylor should've thrown the ball away instead of running after McCoy's long run. There wasn't much space, and it was first down. I said I'm sure he'll be more cognizant of that situation as he gains more experience. Despite that, as someone else stated, they are much better at clock management under Lynn.
  8. According to Joe B's weekly grades, Hughes has been the best player for the Bills this season (with Kyle second). It may not show in the stats, but Hughes is having a monster year. This Lorax sack is a perfect example of Jerry's impact. I think it's safe to say that JH's stats will improve when Dareus is back in the middle.
  9. Somewhat related to what you're saying here, I heard Sal say something the other day about how the GM and his staff talk to the coaches and find out what type of players they're looking for. This was in relation to a caller asking what happened to Cryil Richardson, and Sal said he was the type of player that Moron wanted, a big road grader to blow the other guys off the ball, but he didn't fit the pulling guard type that Kromer/Roman system uses. Most people will simply look at it as Whaley wasted that pick.
  10. To refresh your memory....Here's the link
  11. Ugly, then, is in the eye of the beholder...
  12. I guess some people fail to see that saying they won ugly ican be a positive statement as my post was meant to be. Too many times in the past the would not win that type of game against the Rams, but they did because good teams win those types of games. In the Pats game, it seemed as the teams reversed their roles, and the bounces went the Bills' way. Maybe, just maybe, the tide has turned in their favor. Let's hope it continues and the 5-2 Bills bring it to the Pats again to take first in the division. Let's hope.
  13. which is what I said in my post. I guess I better stop following the Yeezus rule of titles...
  14. as someone else pointed out, TT rarely turns the ball over, which was the difference in this game. Without a Brady, it may be more valuable to have a guy who won't lose games (TT) vs one who does (Fitz e.g.).
  15. the Bills had 80 yards of offense in the second half. Their only offensive points came after the Rams' fake punt, a 25 yard scoring drive. The offense struggled in the second half. I'm not sure what is so controversial about saying "the Bills won an ugly game, and good teams do that"?
  16. Yes, last year I suggested before the season started that Rex's D would not do as well as they did under Schwartz because the personnel was more suited to the latter's scheme. It turns out I was right. This year I stated that I thought they'd be much better, and they are. They do seem to be a little schizophrenic though--good game, mediocre game. Btw, guess which team is even better in points allowed?
  17. This perfectly sums up the game and my point. The offense was basically shut down in the second half, but the Bills found a way to win. Teams like the Bills need these kinds of wins if they are going to make the playoffs.
  18. it set up my point. It's a game they usually lost in the past, but they won it. As I said, good teams win ugly games.
  19. Cool. Go Bills.
  20. It's not a complaint. Do people only read the title of the post and not the post itself?
  21. Exactly my point.
  22. I guess you misunderstand my point. Read the second line. They won an ugly game, and good teams do that. The old Bills would've lost that game.
  23. Yes, Shady ran like Hell, but Without that pick 6, it's a different game. Still, one of the worst offenses in the NFL moved the ball too easily against this D. Can't wait until Dareus is back and healthy, and I"m really interested to see what Shaq can do.
  24. But they did, and good teams win ugly games. Keep it rolling Bills!
