  1. I assume you mean in the past two years.
  2. yet they still put up more than enough to win the game.
  3. maybe he thought his D needed a boost of confidence
  4. If the bills had a mediocre defense show up today, the play never happens. This is all about a has been blowhard whose time is up. Send out the clowns.
  5. As I wrote elsewhere, "send out the clowns..."
  6. It isn't Rich It isn't fair But this year's their last go round It's in the air Send out the clowns... (Pick your version--Judy Collins, Sinatra, et al)
  7. I suppose you want to define the parameters "pot"?How far back does Whaley get the blame/credit?
  8. A couple statistics on Whaley' draft record. First, I've always believed he should be judged since the 2014 draft because that's the first draft he was both in control and when "his guys" -- monos and fisher -- were on board. Regardless, I'll go back to 2013, the EJ draft. A total of 28 players were drafted. 20 are still with the Bills in some capacity. Add the shady for Kiko trade, and 21/28 (75%) are still with the bills. Only ONE draftee is not attached to an NFL roster, tony steward, who has an injury history, but was still picked up by the Pats then Saints after being released. Getting rid of Whaley is about as stupid as Sullivan's article...
  9. really? Hughes?
  10. With the draft, people ignore what the coaching scheme demands. For example, Marrone wanted big road graders for the O line, so a guy like Richardson fit the mold. Roman needed more athletic linemen, so they grab Miller and Richardson becomes expendable. Roman also needed a TE (several really) in the mold of clay, and they got him. In fact, as some have stated, TE was more important to roman's scheme than WR. But blame Whaley. On D, it's been beaten to death how Rex ruined a top 5 D. Again, a coaching issue. I'm of the mind that it would be futile to blow it up and restart, but Rex has been nothing but a blowhard. Keeping Whaley over Rex is a better option.give the job to Lynn, and keep Taylor, and start drafting QBs.
  11. Interesting stats Polish Dave. I really don't want to see it all blown up again. Despite his shortcomings, without a couple crappy defensive performances against the jets and phins, the bills would make the playoffs. I'd rather see them find a way to use TT as a transition until they hit on a draft pick. Starting over with some other re-tread will take them 3 steps back and none forward. I hate to say it, but give it all one more year...
  12. if the D doesn't allow career days to Fitzpatrick and ajayi, then this conversation most likely doesn't happen.
  13. They are going to need to provide blue paper bags to distinguish from the brown paper bags for this game...
  14. Amazing how many people swallowed the bait of The headline by the #1 troll here. First, Peter posted the relevant quote, which seemed to go ignored. Not even DCTom's admonishment seemed to sink in. Folks, Shefter DID NOT report Ryan will be fired. He mentioned the rumor. I know many of us WANT him gone, but this is not confirmation.
  15. As someone pointed out, Simms said, and it's not a bad idea. Three games of playing pass first, and tell Tyrod to take some chances. We've seen enough of conservative Tyrod, see if he can repeat his Seattle performance. Or do you think they should have the same run-first mentality that we've already seen too much of?
  16. while he has issues seeing the middle, he also is reluctant to take chances. Lynn should tell him to start winging it. They've got, he's got, three games to let them see if he's capable. I hope they try it.
  17. Not to mention the impact it would have on future contracts and signings...
  18. if you cut PBrown, who's your other LB? I could see PB as the strong side, rags in the middle, and ZB the weak. That's a solid group.
  19. EJ has also shown the ability to step up when the game is on the line.
  20. Rex was given a top 5 D, then Whaley went out and got shady, clay, Harvin, Taylor, and incognito. Keep blaming Whaley.
  21. problem was he was injured for most of the preseason and didn't really get a chance to show the new Rex regime what he had.
  22. Is Ben trying to save Rex?
  23. Seeing the same body language by the D as they showed when they couldn't stop Oakland last week...
  24. Can't wait for Monday!
  25. Christmas will come early then!
