I’ll have to wait and see….I’m still waiting on some MeadDrone deliveries. The service level is slipping there…. -

I went to Letchworth as a kid, and honestly I think I remember it more from the slides than from actually being there. But everything I remember and hear is that it is stunning. Maybe we can make this an annual adventure before the Bills opener each year, go explore the area. We are going to Niagara on the Lake also, and I’ve never been there either. I left WNY for college when I was 17 and didn’t see all of what there was to offer. . -

It’s funny, my wife is excited for the Bills opener and everything else we have planned, but when she saw video of the Gorge she got super excited. She’s a mountain girl at heart and we try to go to the NC mountains for her birthday each year. This is perfect for her! -

Thanks, we booked at Glen Harbor. We are both looking forward to the little add-on before our scheduled trip. -
RIP A real life was lost and people grieve. But this feels a little like Chuckles the Clown died. .

What Are You Most Excited About This Coming Season?
Augie replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was at the last Bills game in ATL, my first trip to the (then) new dome. We were well represented that day, and I expect that again this year! I try to make the home opener very year and one road game. The “road” game this year will be right down the road from my house. I can see the stadium in a distance on my way to Publix every day! -
Drew Brees reveals right arm 'no longer works'
Augie replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Science has yet to develop a little blue pill for the right arm, but they are working on it. They had priorities. -
Gary keeps running into the Buick in the back corner of the end zone. He’s gonna get hurt eventually, he’s already put a big dent in the car.

I’m most interested in the opener vs the Ravens. I’ll be there with the family and it’s obviously a huge rival, but the real reason this one has my attention is that it is the NEXT game. The next game is always the most important game, even if we lose sight of that sometimes. Are we going to hold the fourth trophy in reserve somewhere? Maybe pass it around amongst STHers? It’s shaped wrong, I don’t see how you could drink out of it, and we ARE Bills fans. -

This jumped out at me like crazy! I’ve spent much of the afternoon looking at adding some time before the Bills opener and going to Watkins Glen. My wife loves mountain/gorge settings and waterfalls. She saw about a 30 second video of the falls, and she changed our flights already. She really likes that stuff. I’m open to suggestions for where to stay for a night in Watkins Glen if you/anyone know the area. . -
That’s fine, and I promise you are not alone. But this is a message board, not live television, and there is no font that I know of that serves as a proper “schlurrr” to describe your affection. .

Drew Brees reveals right arm 'no longer works'
Augie replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
When my son was in high school he played QB and would want to throw the ball around, which I LOVED, but I had a partially torn rotator cuff. I couldn’t throw it back overhand, and it only went so far underhand. So on longer passes I would punt the ball back and he would field them. That’s fielding a lot of punts, and he happened to be the punt returner and never lost one all year. (That is despite not calling for a couple fair catches that were clearly in order! 😂) -

I couldn’t play catch with my son, and nobody feels sorry for me. At least he got something for it! J/k, it sucks for anyone. I know several former tennis players who can’t even toss a ball any more. I know skiers with bad backs and knees, too. The human body can only take so much. Maybe the coach potatoes were right! -
I’m not embarrassed, I’m sure that happens all the time.

No offense intended, but have you ever seen that movie Rain Man?
-
I was going to guess on its third birthday, but apparently that is not correct.

Chad Johnson says Stevie Johnson the best route runner ever seen
Augie replied to Lafromboise's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stevie Johnson ran routes that he made up as he went. It seemed like an improv act at times. And yet….. 🤷♂️ EDIT: To be fair he’s talking more about getting off the LOS. -
Congratulations! Did you ever see the movie? That was a big deal, and even after 50 years I’ll still stop to watch some. .

Keon drops 60 in Damar's celebrity basktball gam
Augie replied to stevewin's topic in The Stadium Wall
It breaks my heart. I used to follow Xavier basketball almost like the Bills. I’d make an annual trip to Cincinnati, travel to games anywhere close and try to get to their city in the NCAA tournament. Those were some awesome times! Now I have no idea who’s on the roster, what theirs skills are, where they came from or how many years of eligibility they have left. Eligibility actually means very little, since it’s a series of one year contracts. Every year is like a new pickup game at the YMCA. Please don’t get me wrong, I think the players should be paid and they should have mobility. I just don’t happen to like the resulting product nearly as much. They desperately need some guardrails on this mess. BTW - I spent a week at UNC hoops camp in Chapel Hill every summer for at least 4 years when the kids were young. Awesome times! -
Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
Augie replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
And he may in fact be a bust, but I have a hard time reconciling the guy who looked promising early and the guy who came back after the injury. I’ve heard his explanation, I just want to see him after a re-boot. It’s hard to even guess without seeing some more, for me. . -

You can be a tough grader with high expectations distorting the value of your opinions. You think it’s a wasted season if we don’t win the Super Bowl, because after all that is why we play the game. There are degrees, and there is still plenty of time for hope. -

My takeaway is that it’s too soon to know. A lot of very good players took some time to get up to speed. That’s a fact, but I’m not slanting my interpretation in any direction. Some people here try to sound like they have an objective position, but they are fairly transparent in how they feel. -

That is not what I took from that at all, but then, I don’t have an agenda here.
