Perhaps you should move to a different hemisphere? 🤷♂️ You made me look at my flag. The buffalo is heading OUT, as it should be. I have no desire to look like Rex’s truck!

Who's in the inner circle for Draft Day discussions?
Augie replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall
My wife must be a good authority, because this sounds familiar! I’m guessing in the Beane regime Rex and that cab driver are not in the inner circle. That is one tight ship! I’ve been to a Bills Super Bowl, and it was great. I think I’d prefer being in the Bills draft room than personally attend another SB. Check each box on the bucket list! -
We love football! I liked their chances last time, but Covid proved untimely. This could be the new minor league where guys learn, grow and get noticed.

Only 23 seconds left. No way they could blow this! I apologize to anyone I may have triggered, and to those who may have to read those responses.

What you call an “outlier”, @DC Tom might have another word for. This feel like a cry for help. It will be OK.

Apparently I was not old enough to fully appreciate Cookie. I’ll take your word for it, as I was more of the age to hear about Cookie after the fact. I will say, three years seems short, but the earliest formative years for the teams are special and I guess can be viewed like “dog years”. Like Neil Armstrong, you get special recognition for being special first.

I ignore the weekend tournament stuff. I don’t know who those people are. It’s not like my close and dear friends here on this message board (whom I have never met, for the most part). If you go too fast or are not careful, it’s easy to fat finger a word and it won’t give it to you. I then think I’ve already done that word, when in fact it’s the last one remaining. I’m embarrassed by how many levels I’ve finished (over 29k). I apparently have WAAAY too much time on my hands.

I have to think there is something personal behind the scenes that we don’t know that explains this. It’s too obvious he belongs, and it’s been FAR too many years to go by. I hope the Pegula's correct this ASAP. Besides being an all-time great player, he was a kind and forgiving man. He and his family lived at a property my mother managed. My sister would babysit their kids and I traded football cards with his son. I watched Bills games in his living room while my sister was sitting his kids. He came to the door one day dressed in a nice suit. He was talking with my dad and I wanted to show them both a little science fact I had learned that day. If you put equal pressure on an egg from every direction, it will not/cannot break. Unfortunately, my pressure was less than equal, and I sprayed raw egg all over his suit. 😱 I say he was kind and forgiving…… because I lived to tell that tale. Put the man on The Wall. It’s a no-brainier. GET IT DONE!

[Please Change Title] I'm sorry but what a moron
Augie replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well……..that is OK and a wise decision on your part. You are indeed a very discerning Beerball. Turn on me and I go all psycho movie on you! Does Home Depot or Lowes have cheaper chain saws? Maybe I can get a coupon online? I might need some time to line things up…..affordable mayhem is in the frugal details. -

You are just out to hurt feelings, aren’t you? . -
You can NOT make me! I was a Wordscape guy, and the last thread (combined with my grandson) got me into Wordle. My mom does Words With Friends with my sisters and others. I have to draw the line somewhere! ….but they seem to like it, so……. 🤷♂️

I was in the Square yesterday for lunch. Usually once or twice a week. It’s 7 miles straight up the road for me.

I certainly don’t know the guy, but he seems like the kind of guy who’s going to put the contract ahead of the chance for a ring unless it’s super close. I don’t even mean that in a critical way, just that different things drive different people. That’s OK, it just is what is is as long as you know what you’re dealing with. I’ll be curious to see how it goes for the Colts if he has to battle thru injuries the next couple seasons. That’s a LOT of guaranteed money.

New Bills stadium deal is bad for taxpayers, according to Yahoo!
Augie replied to JPL7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yahoo is a bit like Sports Illustrated. When I hear something from them I think…..”huh, who knew they were still around?” -
What is your favorite football related phrase?
Augie replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our unwillingness to just keep handing the ball to Thurman cost us that Super Bowl. I’m not going to name names, but….. We now have a good opportunity to correct that unfortunate outcome! . -

Ohhhhh, the memories! It was about 30+ years ago when I went to a wedding of a close childhood friend in Pittsburgh. One of “the gang” was there with his wife. I had never met her before, but she walked up to me and said “So, you’re the guy who farted on my husband’s head”. 😱 🤷♂️ WHAT? I had no recollection of such an event, or how that could even go down. But I could not deny it was not a possibility. That was a long time ago, and fortunately nobody threw a flag! OK, I’m (temporarily) done sharing far too much. Turns out the fart head’s wife is awesome, and she thought the tale was hysterical! -

Take Brady out of the math and they are all day laborers. -
We moved to Sarasota in 1993. My parents came to visit a few months later. We went out to dinner Saturday night, and they ran into people they knew from Buffalo. We went to church Sunday morning, and they ran into people they used to work with. I took my dad to the Cabana Inn (a dump along the Trail for those familiar that was then the go-to Bills joint prior to Sunday Ticket at home or nicer Bills bars) for the Bills game. It was mostly big projection TV’s so the windows are all blocked out to see the screen (and NOT see how disgusting the place was/is). My dad gets up to go to the rest room and literally bumps into a guy he went to high school with 50 years earlier, and they had not seen each other since. How they recognized each other, I have NO idea after 50 year! They were there 72 hours and knew more people than we did after months of living and working there. After growing up in Buffalo (which I LOVED!) you deserve something nice! My dream is to get back to Sarasota one day, at least part-time. Maybe a summer place somewhere cooler, like the mountains……..or Buffalo? .

But we will be safe in our cubicles while he runs the risk of limping off the edge of the earth! Who’s a dummy now, Sammy? Wait! I thought they were being no nice!!!

Bills have almost $10 million in cap space available
Augie replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
As I’ve been saying, I fully expect a vet CB before the draft. Beane likes to go into he draft without any real holes in the roster. Nobody too expensive, but fairly serviceable. I don’t have any idea who that might be, but it’s how he goes into the draft. That will get you a beer in the new stadium. . -
Are boneless wings with ranch the best game day dish?
Augie replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall
I took beef on weck and grilled wing in sauce to my neighbor from Kenmore on game day a few years ago. She STILL talks about the wings. -

Augie replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall
They want you to think you’re getting chicken meat, when instead @Royale with Cheese and others try to feed you chicken parts. Well, I’m not buying it either! BTW - at lunch today a guy at the bar ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap…..with ranch instead of blue cheese. We had to have words. I alerted the authorities and he was taken in for 72 hours of observation.
