  1. If Keyshawn or Booger are talking, I try to be listening to something else.
  2. I hope they are looking for a long term addition, not a replacement. Let him sit behind OJ Howard and learn for a year if he needs it.
  3. Wow! Very sad, and “only” 67 years old. His voice was even more distinctive than his image. You always knew it was him! Very sorry for his loved ones.
  4. Sometimes very bad things have a silver lining if you look hard enough. I think this is it. Screwing the fans is frowned upon. Screwing the other owners will be hard to come back from.
  5. My older sister saw them both about a week apart when I was little. I remember her running up and down the street with her friends screaming to “practice”. She said at the Beatles concert that was ALL you could hear, young girls screaming.
  6. I like lyrics that make you think a bit, and actually mean something. SO MANY songs from Yes or The Who, etc you look at the lyrics and need an interpreter. You would be at a loss, because it sounded cool, but made NO sense whatsoever.
  7. I had to guess who revived this, and YOU were high on the list! 😋 My wife is very big on networking. She might suggest introducing yourself to everyone in the room before relieving yourself. They would certainly remember you! You might also be put on some kind of list, but that’s just more recognition, right?
  8. I had lunch last week with @DrDawkinstein on the beltline. With beer I am now onto “I’ll have what he’s having”. I swear wine is easier than beer now! “Yeah, I’ll have the house and see if it’s awful.”
  9. I know NOTHING about bourbon, but I know we have Angel’s Envy sitting with the rest of our limited liquor collection. The wife’s brother and another close friend swear by it, so it sits there until they visit. They tend to have good taste so I’d trust that, and based upon a quick Google search the price seems to work for Yolo.
  10. The way I see it, it’s not at all about his teammates missing him. Horrible Harry was close to guys, especially Josh, but it’s business and he moved on. It is somewhat about being a leader, but it is mostly about the quality of play, and can we trust a rookie to get things right in such a critical year where our Super Bowl window is wide open (despite the crazy tough AFC). Do you really want to roll the dice on a new kid leading the defense? That’s above my pay grade, so all I can do is trust in Beane and McD.
  11. This just might start a Save The Candle Movement!
  12. At least there were no Jets or Giants on the list. I’m not sure if that is being geographically accurate, or just recognizing how talented those teams are NOT.
  13. Welcome. I think we need to be on the inside to have a clue. What does Kromer have planned? What does McD see from the inside? The guy kept Josh clean, so I loved that. In the right scheme ha can be effective, no doubt. Not a star, but solid in my mind.
  14. Have you considered anger management therapy?
  15. I admit I wasn’t an Allen believer. I WAS hopeful, but it took miraculous improvement to get to this point. Cowherd takes positions, and admits he changes those positions when new information becomes available. That sounds reasonable to me. He says his most popular segment is generally Colin right/Colin wrong. He owns it when he’s off the mark. I don’t see hating on that.
  16. I like him too. A lot of people seem to think he’s condescending or annoying in some other way, but I enjoy him. He does wear me out a bit on LeBron and the Lakers. Ugh, yes, you live in LA and I don’t. I get it. I’m also a guy who doesn’t watch the NBA until maybe the Finals, if then. But he is VERY high on the Bills in general, and Josh in particular. That part is always fun! We used to get about the same attention level as the Lions. My, how times have changed!
  17. Exactly NOBODY can KNOW that. But you are free to THINK that. Don’t shoot the messenger. Without the well regarded McD at the helm, we are unlikely to even get that shot. Rex just wishes he could get that far. .
  18. He sucks, and we should look to trade up in the first for some third rate guy we’ve never heard of! Please excuse me while I try to balance the jinx juju here. It’s a tricky balancing act. A chicken may later be involved. But we all like chicken, right? It can be prepared so many ways!
  19. While Belichick has a LB, two TE’s and a couple so-so WR’s as his top 5 highest paid players. He’s NOT a genius as a GM.
  20. Throw in Edge, CB1 and LT, and you’d better be darn good at drafting everything else! .
  21. I agree Oliver and Knox are the priorities there. I hope we can keep them all at the right price, but you need the young up-and-comers. I’ve always liked Knox more than most, even when he battled with the dropsies. I LOVE his trajectory and ceiling. Oliver is too good to let him get away easy, and I think his best years are ahead of him as well. Singletary shouldn’t cost much to keep. It always comes down to the dollars. This just goes to show how critical the draft is. You have to keep restocking the shelves with cheap labor. You can’t pay everyone top dollar! .
  22. Nobody guessing UB?
  23. And it’s not just the small schools. All schools are stepping stones all the way to the top of the mountain. I graduated from Xavier in the 80’s. They became regulars in the NCAA tournament and had a bunch of Sweet 16’s and Elite 8’s. Coach after coach left for bigger schools and huge raises. Ohio State, Arizona and Louisville can offer a couple million more per year for a hot Head Coach. That is hard to turn down. Most recently we lost Chris Mack to Louisville after being a #1 seed in the tournament. As these coaches who recruited you for years leave for more money at other schools, I have to feel for the kids who are “stuck” in place. If the coach has mobility, I think it’s only fair if the player has mobility. I do NOT LIKE IT, but I understand it and it seems like they should have that option without sitting out a year, at least one time. Rosters are so fluid it’s hard to keep up with now. You no longer develop guys over 4 years. That ended with the one and done’s, and it’s only accelerated with the transfer portal. I’ll will enjoy college basketball a little less as a result, but that’s life. If you’re a Xavier fan, the good news is Sean Miller returned to Xavier (yeah, after getting in trouble in Arizona) and took less money (but still a fortune) than was offered by some other bigger schools. The guy has made his money and he’s only 53, so it’s more about a comfortable fit than chasing the almighty dollar at this point for him.
  24. I refuse to click now, and I’ll try to make a mental note to NEVER click on that site in the future. That’s crazy $%^#, and I don’t care how badly you need clicks. Be realistic. Zone corners are not THAT hard to find. We don’t need to give up all that.
