I understand your thoughts. But, disagree on Clay. I think the uncertainty of his health, lack of practice time and the ability for others to get consistent reps will have us better st the position. IF Clay was making a solid impact on game days which I don’t think he did I would lean towards your direction.

I don’t think Flacco or Eli we’re stellar QBs, but, they have 3 Championships between them. They had strong teams, HCs and GMs. However, I agree they are the exception to the rule.

Not at all! The situations seemed similar. BUT, you need to understand the player and what they are trying to accomplish. So, after the fact and during BOTH times I thought they were different. Peters wanting to be paid for playing well and Byrd trying to get paid and not really interested in playing football at a high level (just a pay day). When paying a player big bucks I think the two important things are is that salary and cap hit worth it for that position and what will that player produce on the field after the pay day. Peters - LT is worth the money. What will he do after the pay day, not sure. Byrd - S is not worth the money. Confident he didn't care about football after being paid. JMHO

Crossman was bottom third of the league on STs for 3 different HCs with the Bills. That is amazing he lasted this long. He was also in the bottom third more often than not with I believe two other NFL teams prior to the Bills. He also had more players on STs consistently every year for just STs. It is amazing he had jobs and retained them. Absolutely amazing. He has been nothing but terrible. It had nothing to do the new kick off rules. I think I have been waiting 8 years for this firing?! Another Festivus Miracle!

I agree that the game sealed Gase's fate. And, I agree with Gase gone, Tannehil will not be the starting QB in Miami next year (unless there is an injury).
