  1. I have been so bored with no sports that I actually placed a bet on the Bills to win a Madden game listed on an offshore betting site. But, I'm not quite there yet to pick opening game uniforms. Damn virus!
  2. Let them strike. Lots of folks laid off, furloughed or taking pay cuts. The players can get the same dose of economic reality as the rest of us.
  3. Hopefully he gets the yards he needs and then calls it a career. He does not need to be the second coming of Brett Favre.
  4. We are all safe. There isn't a virus on Earth that could survive more than 5 minutes in the bathrooms at New Era Field.
  5. I had the opportunity to meet him in person one time. When he found I was a Bills fan he had nothing but praise for the Bills fans. He said the Buffalo fan base was among the toughest to deal with of any of his opponents over the course of his career. A class act all the way!
  6. All 32 teams face the same dilemma. The better managed teams will figure it out. Thank god we have Beane/McDermott to lead the Bills through it. Can you imagine having to rely on Rex, Whaley and crew to manage this process.
  7. If this happens, give me a call and you can have my tickets to the Sunday game that will get pushed back to February. Despite what Marv says, there is another place I'd rather be "right here and right now" vs. sitting in my seat at New Era at 11 pm on a Sunday night with a wind chill of -30 degrees. Damn virus!
  8. Does the standard NFL player contract contain any clauses that would cause them not to be paid in the event the season is cancelled for reasons outside the control of the league, such as this? Similar question for the tv contracts. Not many clubs have adequate cash flows to make player payrolls without, at a minimum, the tv revenues. Maybe Terry and Kim snuck in a PPP loan like the Lakers did so they can keep their super yacht running.
  9. That could work out for the SEC and the schools in the South, but could be a tough one for the Big 10 and the ACC schools such as Pitt and BC should the season start in the Winter. It will be a challenge to put together a national playoff process under this scenario, but I give them credit to pushing ahead as a first step. A lot can happen between now and this Fall.
  10. Punter, not totally sold on Bojo or potentially Vedvik. KC just cut Colquit for cap reasons. He may be worth a hard look.
  11. This kid can obviously kick it a mile, but can he kick in December with a frozen ball in 40 mph swirling winds.
  12. So much for the Dolphins and Jets being 4 guaranteed easy wins for the Bills this season. It would be great though to see NE fall to the bottom of the AFC East for the first time in an eternity.
  13. You are either Gov. Cuomo or my Mom posting in disguise.
  14. Kind of like the other day on OBD when you heard Tasker talking with his toilet flushing in the background. We always knew he was full of it, listening to him the other day confirmed it. One of the many challenges of working from home, I guess.
  15. I wouldn't put this past the Lions. The Lions have been the benchmark of organizational ineptitude within the NFL for years.
  16. I would not want to be at a poker table playing against Beane. You could be holding 4 aces and he would still wind up beating you out. In Brandon I trust.
  17. How about you give us Fournette and all of your draft picks and we will take his salary off your hands.
  18. Wasn`t Fergie the guy who wanted the Bills to switch to the red helmets to tell his receivers apart from the other AFC teams? Happy birthday Joe, it was a lot of fun watching you play.
  19. One new dynamic that may impact any one-and-done deals made for the objective of a SB run this year is what happens if the season does not happen? Pay a guy like Ford the big bucks and he winds up at home like the rest of us. I know none of us can predict the future and it is a ways off, but I am sure this is something NFL GM's are considering and owners minding their $$$ are thinking about. Pegula is already sweating the $$$ on PSE side of his empire and probably wants to be financially smart with the Bills, as well.
  20. I can handle Murphy/Tasker in small doses, but hit the kill switch immediately at 3pm when Schopp comes on. He is bad enough during the football season and even worse now that we are in a sports lock down and he needs to tell us about his daily sacrifices re: working from home. At least he is working, unlike a lot of other folks right now. I have been listening to WEEI out of Boston on Radio.com instead. It makes my day to hear the Pats fans all whining about their football apocalypse now that Tommy boy is leaving along with the other players they have lost. If we have to hear about Brady anyway, we might as well hear it from the demoralized Cheaters themselves.
  21. As long as they have Belichick, NE will continue to be be a thorn in our side. Hopefully the magic was all Brady and not the Hoodie. I guess we will find out this season.
  22. Pats defense takes a hit losing Collins to Detroit and Van Noy to Miami. Most likely more comp picks for them in 2021. Damn Patriots.....
  23. Your post is right on point. There are ways to keep the draft and do it in a manner than does no impose undue health risks on anyone. The country needs some return to normalcy where possible. Keeping the draft would go a long way towards achieving it. Plus, I can't take many more Leave it to Beaver reruns as alternatives to the sports world.
  24. The Bills should consult with us amateur General Managers/personnel gurus here on TBD before making these moves!
  25. I'm still waiting for the Bills to break the "last playoff win was 1995 drought". We need to get that monkey off our backs and eliminate this as something the national "experts" can continually throw back in our faces. If that is cheapened by the new CBA, so be it.
