  1. It will come down to us and the Lions. The game we play against each other in December could be for the rights to #1 (or to avoid going 0-16).
  2. If Evan Silva was a qualified talent evaluator he'd be in the front office of an NFL franchise. The closest he has ever been to football is when he was in the high school AV Club and ran the projector for his team's meetings!
  3. This is only the warm up round. Now all these folks can shift to debating/second guessing the actual picks made from now to opening day!
  4. On the bright side, it beats listening to those stupid Progressive Insurance ads every 2 minutes! WGR -- a subsidiary of Progressive Insurance??
  5. Quick, call the Bills and let them know this before they finalize their draft board!
  6. Tough profession to work in! Employed one day, out in the street the next. Wish him well in the future.
  7. Except now the media has us on their "longest drought without winning a playoff game" lists! The trash talkers never give up....
  8. I agree Bradham makes a lot of sense, particularly given the rumors about the Bills being interested in him. But at what cost if Hitchens is going to pull down $9M?
  9. The Cheatriots will snap him up as a free agent backup upgrade from Hoyer. This will make Al Michaels happy as then he can tell the world how the Bills sent another "Star" to New England.
  10. So much for playing hard to save Rex's job. Pack it in and head home for Xmas eve....
  11. They are counting down in Cleveland. Two weeks until their first win....
  12. I thought we were hit by a tornado here in Boston about 6:30 this evening. But it was just all the Patriot fans jumping off the bandwagon at the same time. What a bunch of whiners, the excuses for losing are pouring out big time..... the refs were against us, Gronk played hurt, Denver turned off our tablets,on and on. Great day to be a Bills fan here in Cheatriot land!
  13. It was the Oilers comeback win for me. I was ready to head for the parking lot at halftime, but my son talked me into staying until the end. Glad I did! My wife thought I was nuts to then record the WHAM radio replay of the game the following week. Still have the cassette tape today.
  14. AFC Championship Game - Bills 24, Cheatriots 20; 4th down with 5 seconds left in the game, Cheaters ball on the Bills 15 yard line.... Brady drops back and fires a rocket to a wide open Stevie Johnson........ oh $&%#, it hit him in the Sharpie and he dropped it, Bills win!!!
  15. The Sports Radio talking heads here in the Boston area are actually in agreement that we have a kick-ass defense and are improving to the point where we may give the Patriots some "competition" this year. But they say we are not close to being good enough to knock them off the top of the mountain yet. Signing Matt Cassel didn't exactly send them running into the streets in fear of playing the Bills next year.
  16. Possible 3-5 vs. 0-4? I think most of us would have taken 3-5 if we had the chance to turn back the clock. 3 wins trumps 0 wins in my book.
  17. Why would Tom Brady in his right mind want to come to Buffalo? Not for the money ..... He and his wife have more cash than most small countries. Not for the Super Bowl rings... He already has those. If he wants to continue playing somewhere other than New England, there are a lot more "exotic" locations and teams where he can do that. Unfortunately, be it right or wrong, the rest of the world outside of Erie County views our Bills as dysfunctional and our location to be the US version of Siberia.
  18. I made my contribution out of respect to Darryl, but was not to crazy about approximately $8,800 of the $110k raised so far going to the fund first to cover their "operating costs" vs. to the Talley's. Per the fine print, approximately 8% of each donation is used to cover operating expenses of Go Fund Me.
  19. "Fixed", no. Incompetency, maybe! In all fairness to the officials, the "geniuses" on the NFL Rules Committee (coaches and owners) are the ones who have developed these ridiculous rules, many of which are highly interpretive. Roger and his gang need to realize they are turning a lot of us off by having to watch these flag fests. The officiating in the college ranks isn't perfect either, but is much less subjective and lets the players on the field usually determine the outcome without the refs getting involved.
  20. Frank Reich - class act in all respects. Wish he was our OC!
