  1. For me its tough to explain. He's definitely not an A, and also not a C or below. By deduction, I say B, and remember he has helped Josh go from a raw rube to someone I think we can enjoy.
  2. Feelings of guilt, why so defensive, not aimed at you. You know darn well what the narrative has been about Allen on this site, from many posters.
  3. For crying out loud, I've been hearing how passer rating is the best way to rate a QB for weeks on here. Now, Allen has a great one and its near meaningless. SMDH
  4. Not a bad gig if you can get it!
  5. The dropped pass by Knox was a big play early on. I think we score a TD soon after that catch. There were some execution issues no doubt, and that was one. I'm not sure his game plan was great, but they didn't help him out either. Penalties too.
  6. B+ he had a 111.4 passer rating, didn't turn it over, had some good runs and avoided sacks. He and Brown were our best offensive players today.
  7. Why are we changing it? Nah
  8. My theory of what happens in these types of games is that the lineman (O-line and Front 7), who rely on emotion more than other positions, end up not quite as fired up. They may not even realize it and think they are as pumped as playing the Patriots , but instead that spark is 90-95% of what it would be against a challenging opponent. And, it makes a big difference to the rest of the team.
  9. Seriously, one of the best posts I've read in awhile. You must have statistical background!?
  10. Ok then for you. Personally, I look at it as a barometer of where the team is, if they win by 1 point it is not a good sign. You're right, never apologize for winning, in this case ,I don't think it will feel very good.
  11. I see some folks saying they'd be happy with a minimal win (1-2 pts.?,overtime?). You are seriously going to be pleased come Monday that we beat one of the worst teams in the NFL recent history, at home, as a 17 pt fav, and coming off the bye? Oh Really
  12. I like how you think. The key to me is how high is ceiling is. I see guys like Mariota, Mayfield and Darnold as guys with much lower ceilings. If I were to state an analogy it would they are the 13-14 yr old middle school star athlete, and Allen is the kid who matures later on in HS.
  13. So no credit for signing Peyton Manning or being the decision maker for a SB champion, and he only has a job because he won the SB. Got it.
  14. Dude, this isn't about the last word, just take the L and put in the pile with all the others.
  15. Absurd and Nonsensical! You can't tell me the QB doesn't have an enormous impact on whether the team wins or loses.
  16. Get over the Allen thing and focus on everything else, that's what he's trying to say to you. The view of PFF and stats has NOTHING to do with Allen. As a matter of fact, you are making it about him and it makes me question your bias!
  17. I especially like this part: “ as opposed to most other ELO systems, PFF ELO doesn’t use the final score to update the rankings. Instead, we compute what the final score should have been based on the player grades.” What a stupid system. That’s like saying: our picks were right, what happened in the games was wrong! Alternate reality
  18. Works for me, I hope that is the outcome of the first quarter, I'll take it every time!
  19. PFF has the Bills 20th what a joke that site is. Explaining their system this way! “As opposed to most other ELO systems, PFF ELO doesn’t use the final score to update the rankings. Instead, we compute what the final score should have been based on the player grades.” What a stupid system. That’s like saying: our picks were right, what happened in the games was wrong! They live in their own reality.
  20. Yes, much better runner and nearly as good a receiver.
  21. Not a bad idea. You can never have enough guys who can get open and catch.
  22. Going off script in Miami may not be a bad thing! I mean Gase was his coach.
