Josh Allen - week FIVE report card
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bad analogy, JA has shown more upside in his first 16 games than either of those guys. And, as was pointed out by Gunner upstream, you want him to be that swashbuckling player he is. Both those guys play so conservatively its painful to watch sometimes. If I have a chance between reigning in a fast, wild horse and trying to make a slow nag faster.....I'm going with the previous! -
NFL get rid of instant replay
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, that is so true, I do the same thing, just pathetic when you think about! This post is spot on! In hockey you are responsible for you stick hitting someone in the face. No, Ifs ,ands or buts its called. You know what? After awhile players get the idea and if not its called. -
What are we missing offensively?
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the short answer is more speed and playmakers. We may have some of these answers (Foster) already, but they need to develop and produce. -
Was it just me or was yesterday an especially bad day for NFL rules and officiating? I watched more football than usual yesterday, and every game I turned on just seemed to be a huge mess. I'd see a penalty, watch the replay and it was a phantom or missed call. Or......they go back to NYC to Riverboat Al and a call that looked totally obvious would stay. There was a call in the KC-INDY game on TY Hilton for setting a pick where he literally did nothing and when challenged by Reich it was upheld. I think Collinsworth was totally flabbergasted.

An old mans’ views on the team.

Nice! Very feel good and IMO, spot on takes. One of the things that isn't discussed about this team very often, is as you mentioned, they have more upside......they haven't maxed out and they look to be the third best team in the AFC so Far! -
Redskins fire Jay Gruden

When you have, not one (Snyder).....but two (Allen) problems at the top; makes for total ineptitude and dysfunction in an organization. I feel for Skins fans. Nah, maybe after we beat them! -

Thanks for the writeup. Nice job! Appreciate that you didn't overly focus on the interception as some choose to do. -

Silly me, I thought hitting in the head was something that caused concussions and lead to CTE.....so the NFL was trying to increase safety .......and NFL was worried about the number of kids at lower levels not playing and threatening future football.... Anyone else notice how the technicality of the rules become more important to NFL heads like Riveron when the Pats are involved? (Jesse James etc.) I mean was that a safe hit and can the game eliminate it and survive? Of course, sounds like the old guard in the NHL saying you need goons to police the game. There is no way in a college game that hit would go unpunished, bad look NFL! Oh and by the way, Pats fans think it was perfectly fine, but that hit on Brady is punished 100 out of a 100 times......the technicality of the rules changes then ....Jesse James catch in super slow mo...SMH....SMDH Go Bills today, stick it up the leagues you know what! -
Duke signed to active roster
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Dude really, really wants to catch the ball, sounds obvious, but not all receivers possess that skill. -
I bet he catches one in the endzone tomorrow!
