  1. I have never once heard Jimmy Graham referred to as “Jimmy G”
  2. Larry Tripplett. This guy was the prototypical FA signing by the Bills during the drought. Probably a talented enough guy, but a complete waste of space while here.
  3. I think you're jumping the gun on Ford. It's been so long since we have drafted an o-lineman early AND had huge expectations and pressure to perform, we don't realize how difficult it is for a rookie. Injuries to Waddell and Nsekhe put him in an even tougher spot. I think the dude is going to be a beast in the next couple years. Great, nasty attitude and physical skills, just needs some work.
  4. I am really looking forward to this Super Bowl matchup. Will SF be able to slow down the pass, and can KC stop the run?
  5. Maybe by Saturday afternoon it'll change for me, but I feel the same way. After getting through all the "we should win" games, a couple hiccups vs Eagles and Browns, and then 3 very tough matchups in a row, this one feels less stressful. Nothing to lose, but how nice it would be to win.
  6. I would like to see Johnson get some more snaps at DE. I’m scared to death of what Lamar will do to Trent Murphy, or even Shaq to a lesser extent.
  7. Based on your knowledge of football— that giving an incompetent offense the ball back deep in their territory with about 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter down 3 scores- is somehow not a good strategy , I’ll take that as a compliment.
  8. Says the guy who would absolutely blast McDermott if we threw an incompletion or worse in that situation. Did you not watch the Denver offense completely unravel in their previous possessions? Why in the world would you “go for the jugular” in that situation?
  9. DiMarco had a great block on that 4th and 1 play early in the game. (I still can't believe Daboll called Gore's number on that one, even though it worked).
  10. I don't remember this as being "the book" on Allen. Where most had him projected as high/mid first round
  11. they had all 3 TO's, and nearly let the play clock run out on a couple of crucial plays. Very odd series.
  12. When you only throw it 20 times and win by 15, it is kind of misleading to say a QB was "held" to anything though.
  13. Son, you're getting confused.....you said you gave Allen an "F"; to which someone asked "If Allen gets an F for his play today, what do you give a guy who throws a couple bad picks, takes a bunch of sacks, and doesn't score any points?" Your response: "Someone who has no business playing in the NFL". Check Wilson's stats today and tell me he doesn't belong in the NFL. The whole "Dolphins are the worst team in history" is completely ridiculous by the way. Hell, just having Fitzy as QB makes that not true. Good team..no. Worst ever? Please
  14. Like Russell Wilson had today? At home, vs a good but not remarkable Baltimore D?
  15. I don't think you're using your grading key correctly.....using QBR, Allen had the 8th highest rating this week (if you remove the punters and subs who threw it fewer than 7 times). Better than Goff, Bridgewater, Wilson. If you want to make a big deal out of it being against the Phins, that's fine but a bit unfair. Their D seemed to be fairly decent today... http://www.espn.com/nfl/weekly/leaders/_/type/passing/sort/qbrat
  16. Just rewatched this, and hadn't realized the block Poyer put on his guy. Poyer is 4th man in from the sideline on the front line....earholes his guy just as Hyde goes up for the ball, clearing the way for the catch and run. Sweet!!
  17. He’s a kicker. Most guys on the team have probably never even spoken to him. Very easy to plug in a capable replacement and not miss a beat.
  18. The WR battle seems to be the most interesting, but I think for guys that will actually get some legit playing time and make a difference, it's the O-line. The line between being cut and being a situational starter is pretty fine. Teller is one that falls into that category for me.
  19. This has to be the worst "I-told-you-so" in history. Anything done by the Bills brass in reference to the QB situation last season (after drafting Allen) was pretty much a disaster. Even with a 2019 5th rounder to show for it ?
  20. Christ, the guy just chimed in with his opinion that Karlos is a scumbag....after multiple people had already opined that "he seemed like a good guy". Not that big a deal!!
  21. For me, there is genuine hope that this plan is going to work out. Of course we have no idea....there are a ton of moving pieces. But I can't help but appreciate the decisiveness and strategic effort this regime has shown so far. I'm not afraid that they're going to get outworked, that's for sure.
  22. Yes, the NFL is obviously trying to copy the success of MLB. That makes sense.
  23. Steve Tasker was not a good WR. Average at best...comparisons to Welker are ridiculous-- he couldn't get separation anywhere near Welker. Stevie Johnson is my vote. With a better system and consistency at QB he could have been lights out. A little different situation on Defense, but I'd add in Aaron Schoebel. Bad luck for him to end up with the Bills, because he would have been a household name on a better team that used him properly.
  24. It's a little goofy, especially when losing by 21 late in the 4th...but it does seem to cue everyone---even the drunks---to crank up the volume for a couple minutes.
