Getting rid of Ford for a 5th should count toward it being a GOOD week. We have already lived through the "bad" on that deal. Agree on the Araiza situation and OJ Howard miss.

Could it be that in 2020 we benefitted from OTHER teams being less organized/ buttoned-up due to there being no pre-season? There is so much that goes into putting a good product on the field (which I think is the main goal), I don't think we can totally discount the importance of pre-season.

I would argue against the game "not having changed much", even since the time that Barber was playing. You rarely see defensive guys launching themselves headfirst into receivers and running backs anymore. And we can clearly see the difference in how QB's are hit. Like them or not, the recent rule changes have drastically affected that part of the game.

Preparing for Tre White to never be the same post-injury
Chuck Schick replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even though the first study you reference was released fairly recently (2017), the actual data comes from 10ish years ago: Methods: Thirty-eight NFL defensive players with a history of ACLR from 2006 to 2012 were identified. For each injured player, a matched control player was identified. -
Round 6 Pick 209 (31): OT Luke Tenuta, Virginia Tech
Chuck Schick replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I had season tickets to Tech last year and got to see this guy a bunch. In person, he stood out as a massive dude who seemed to move around pretty well against solid competition (UNC, Notre Dame, Pitt). Tech had very poor QB play so they had to run it a ton, and the o-line did a pretty good job. -
Levi Wallace gone to the Steelers on 2-year deal
Chuck Schick replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
All this from losing out on Levi f'n Wallace??? Who knew? -
I actually bought one for my Mom for Mother’s Day from Harrison Phillips a couple years ago. I think it was like $25, and the funny thing was he kind of rambled on for like 3 or 4 minutes 😂. Definitely worth it, and I swear my Mom considers him a “friend” now because of it.

You guys do realize Knox charges $300 to do this, right??🤑

That poor dress shirt that Ted Johnson is squeezed into....working overtime!

How confident are you about the Bills going into the playoffs?

So, other than that, how did you enjoy the play, Mrs. Lincoln? -
Per Nick Wright: Bills will be a fringe contender.
Chuck Schick replied to Leonitas's topic in The Stadium Wall
“Call me old fashioned, but I thought when within 2 months of taking a job you’re openly weeping at work it’s a sign you might be in over your head? But apparently that’s a good thing” Thats pretty funny -
I was a bit of a Collinsworth defender until Sunday's game. He is good at talking about the things in which he's knowledgeable (routes, coverages, etc), and relating experiences and interviews he has had with coaches and players into some meaningful insight into what's happening on the field. But he seems to try too hard to connect dots that may not be connected.....lots of "because I said this earlier, now I need to spin what just happened to support my earlier position". (Examples: "Spagnola is going to dial something up here!" .."Don't you feel like the KC offense just needed that ONE play, and now here we go!".. "Buffalo's DBs are playing physical, so that {complete dive by Kelce} is an "obvious" PI penalty"

Nick Wright is doing what guys in his position have to do to survive I suppose. As annoying as he is, I do get a little sense of "wink, wink", that he knows he's being ridiculous. -
Texans: Dumbest Coaching Decision Ever?
Chuck Schick replied to BillsShredder83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yikes. I suppose the only argument in Gregg's situation is that he had to do SOME mental calculations to make the right decision. In Culley's case, it was ridiculously obvious. -
There are some really interesting names on the other teams' cut lists. Key and Peele could do another skit.... DiCaprio Bootle BoPete Keyes Sandro Platzgummer Equanimeous St. Brown (I had heard of him before) Coy Cronk Rojesterman Farris Dee Virgin Freedom Akinmoladun Montrel Meander Tre'Vour Wallace-Simms and of course.. Diggs #3 overall WR entering 2021 according to ESPN
Chuck Schick replied to BruceVilanch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And to add, the TRADE was not Diggs for Jefferson like they make it sound. It was Diggs for pick #22 or whatever it was, and by the grace of God Philly picked Jalen Reagor at 21. It’s a bit revisionist for MN to look back and say “Oh, that’s ok we can just plug Jefferson in for Diggs, let’s make the trade. “ -

Urban just can’t quit Tebow! (Update - Cut by Jags)
Chuck Schick replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Capable? yeah for sure. But Tebow is an all-time great at doing that , and you wouldn’t have to hold your breath like we do whenever Josh tries to jam it in from the 2 yd line. -

Chuck Schick replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IF Tebow makes the team and actually plays, I’m assuming it’ll be as QB or maybe RB in an RPO situation. Short yardage and goalline. would anyone be shocked if he actually had some success in that role? The dude has proven he knows how to get a couple tough yards when necessary. -
2020 Bills v 2021 Bills Roster Changes
Chuck Schick replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think most teams would kill for our WR and OLine depth. Not even figuring in a draft pick or 2 upcoming.
