  1. Got about 10 guys who get together at a bar up the street. We throw in $10 each for a Top 10 picks pool. Wear gear of our favorite team. Start losing guys at around pick 20, but it's fun.
  2. Remember the revolving door of players that need to come and go to fit into the D-coordinator's (who usually lasted about 2 years) system? So painful.
  3. I would say Von was working out quite well, until the ACL.
  4. Watching his highlights (which seem to include a BUNCH vs Buffalo), I am a lot more OK with Edmunds not being around anymore.
  5. Demetrus Bell...or did he change his name to something else? One of those "project" guys that was given every chance in the world and never did squat.
  6. You do realize White signed before he blew out his ACL? And at the time was clearly considered one of the best young CB’s in the league?
  7. Every NFL team has more misses than hits in the draft. And then add in guys like Zay Jones (sort of) and Wyatt Teller, or on the flip side Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer, and you can see how different a player can be perceived from his early career to just a few years down the road.
  8. If you voluntarily pull the ball back to your body, do you get forward progress to that spot? It’s not the goal line
  9. They need to start calling that more often. Drives me nuts when guys like TJ Watt take multiple punches at ball carriers that are stood up
  10. The whole "we aren't an elite team" argument just doesn't seem to be as relevant in today's NFL. Every contending team other than maybe SF has looked average to bad MULTIPLE times over the last month or so. KC damn near lost to Houston and Denver; Cincinnati should/could have lost to NE and probably Lamar-less Balt; etc etc. Even over the last few seasons, Tampa was a 5 seed and won the whole thing, and LA was a 4...obviously not "elite" coming into the playoffs. You just have to hit on all cylinders, have guys step up, and get a few bounces your way.
  11. Wait, you’re saying that fumbles are never recovered by the fumbling team?
  12. Please keep in mind that @newcam2012 fancies himself as some sort of Vegas insider. This from the first Bills/Pats game a month or so back: Just locked in the Pats at +4.5 points. Way too many points in what figures to be a close game. Taking the points has been the way to go. Outsiders just don't realize Josh is limited with his elbow. The Pats D is legit. Top 10 in every category. At home in a revenge game. Hopefully, Bills win by 3 or 4 points $5 is about right @
  13. Most electric player? I don’t know…he’s good and has had some flashes over a decent NFL career, but let’s not go crazy here.
  14. So in one topic you say how you hate the whole “power of prayer” thing during this ordeal, and here you worry about a handful of fools who might think the Bills forfeited? Might need to recalibrate
  15. I doubt very strongly that there will be any type of "roster lock" like you describe. This flies in the face of everything the league has done insofar as making sure teams get as many healthy bodies on the gameday squad as possible, up to the 53 limit.
  16. Did anyone noticeably slip at any point during the game? I think Tua stumbled once, but not really a slip.
  17. I just don’t get this line of thinking…have we not seen multiple examples of teams doing exactly this? Hell, with that amount of time it would be very easy to envision 2 Hail Marys from roughly mid field. Who the hell wants that, vs a chip shot FG?
  18. Have you watched NFL games recently? There are several teams with complete secondaries made up of back-ups and practice squad guys.
  19. I tend to agree, but it also feels like they haven't really learned from some of their mistakes (other than the NE game). 3rd and long D, holding penalties, having 2 or 3 surefire plays to gain 5 yards, etc. Getting better in these areas would absolutely make them more playoff-ready.
  20. But can you really keep playing that card when you are the one largely (totally?) responsible for having those sub-par QBs on the field?
  21. OK, I'll play along....so what? Should we throw him the ball less? Bench him? trade him? Send him to WR University this summer?
