They acquired all those draft picks over the last few years and had tons of cap space, yet still not very good. But that strategy will work for Buffalo.
Great time to be a Buffalo sports fans, all 3 teams were good and very entertaining. Perreault, OJ and McAdoo were all stars . McAdoo was MVP that season.
2-3 OL, 2-3 WR, vet QB, LB, TE and RB- that's potentially 10 players they ideally need to acquire. Would it be a success to hit on 5 or 6 of them? How many years til they make an impact. I'm not terribly optimistic.
I can't agree with this. If your center is no good, it will show. If you only have 1 quality WR, the shortcomings at the position will show. You give too much credit for 'covering' for others. 11 men your side of the ball, you can't hide any of them.
And it's not like Buffalo is a big draw for free agents. I can't imagine too many WR's wanting to come here until our QB situation is quite a bit more positive.
Do yo expect 2-3 starting lineman, 2-3 WR, a new feature RB, TE? a legit veteran QB... The offense needs a lot of work. Not sure there are enough players available to fill those gaps
It seems that the Pegula's don't realize that while you are tanking, other teams in the league are trying to improve, further increasing the gap to reach a playoff position.
