  1. Is that based on PFF “win rates” or one of those metrics that means they’re running around a lot but not actually sacking the QB? Because one of those players has 13.5 sacks, more than the other 2 combined.
  2. Thank you for attempting to get the conversation back onto this weeks game. Are you suggesting that he is so good, he’ll single handedly shut down our entire WR core? Which game was it….Detroit? That they completely took Cooper out of the game. How did that go for them? I’m not as worried about Surtain. Let him blanket whoever he wants. I’m more interested, as Boyst pointed out, in using the outside run game to keep their defensive line and pass rushers too busy to T off on Josh. Establish the run, hit the open guy quickly. It’s a formula the Bills have done pretty effectively in many of their games. Defesively… this game should favor us. Their strength is passing. But… let’s just hope we don’t make their pedestrian run game look all world as they are apt to do at times. Stop the run early and force the game onto the rookies shoulders.
  3. This game is finally here! I've been waiting weeks for this.. I suspect the team has as well. Denver is a good team. They're solid all around and Nix is going to be a good QB for years. This by no means is an easy, blow out type win. I hope the team is up for it. And that is my only true concern for this game. Can the Bills turn it on and play hard from the opening whistle? Which comes back to my initial thought… I've been waiting for this week. Think about the way this season ended. The Bills played the Chiefs forever ago, it seems. Then had their bye. Came out of that on fire and destroyed SF to win the division. At that point, the seeding wasn't set but it felt the worst of the season was over.. they had secured a playoff spot. Then we had the shoot out with the Rams, and a chance to see how they stack up against the leagues best team at the time… Detroit. Since then.. its been 3 weeks of playing out the string, trying not to get any significant injuries and not put anything more on tape. So, understandably, I think a lot of pundits are looking at the last month and seeing a different team than what they were back in November. But, if the Bills can turn it back on, ramp it up and get into the proper mindset. This game is not a concern. They just have to survive the 1st quarter. The Broncos are going to come out on fire to prove they belong. Nix will be slinging it and running… he hasn't been playing long enough to realize the magnitude of the game. If the Bills can get into gear, survive that initial surge of adrenaline by the Broncos, this game will settle into an easy win, I think. I don't see a blowout, but I see them in control of the game easily. Go Bills!
  4. Thats how I see it. You have a known quantity, pay him in favor of bringing in more players that just don’t pan out.
  5. This should be the healthiest we’ve been going into the playoffs. Hopefully it stays that way…. No more excuses. Just get it done!
  6. Bills fans are cheap. I see a lot of comments about how TJ or RD can just step right in. And they do, and perform extremely well. But… how many times has either broken off a 40+ yd touchdown run? Those kind of home run RBs that can score from anywhere on the field aren’t common. We shouldn’t be in such a hurry to dismiss that aspect of our offense and Cook’s ability to change a game on any carry. I hope he’s given an extension here, when appropriate. And I hope he doesn’t just chase the highest offer because there’s always someone willing to overpay. I have full confidence Beane will look at his value and abilities and make him a fair offer based on the that. And that it will be higher the an half this board would like. But then again half this board thought he overspent for Spencer and Knox and Oliver and anyone not names Josh.
  7. Agreed… there’s a balance but you have to give a few of the guys a series or 2 to hit certain milestones that likely lead to bonus $$. I would give Cook 2 series, max, to hit 1,000 yds and get a touchdown. Josh gets 1 series, max, handing it off to Cook. I’m sure there’s a few others. A few don’t even dress… Bernard, Benford, Rapp (just to protect our other players), Cooper, Shakir, Brown and Dawkins maybe.
  8. For such a nice, easy going guy as Dawkins seems… he plays to punish people! Wow.
  9. So your answer is to start an end season cut and waiver wire find as the MLB… over a guy that has been on the team since Training Camp and leads the team in tackles? That makes zero sense.
  10. Agreed… hence it depends on the opponent/situation that I would favor him over Milano. And that can also be hedged with… Milano currently. Pre injury! Milano was the best LB on the team. But he’s still got quite a ways to go to get back to that level of play.
  11. Why the Dorian hate? Even though he hasn't started since Milano came back from injury, he's still the leading tackler on the team. I feel very comfortable with Dorian Williams starting in the playoffs. And depending on the opponent and situation, I think he's better than Milano. i do agree though… we need Bernard healthy for the playoffs, regardless.
  12. Exactly! The closest we get is Oliver. IMO, if we get to the Super Bowl it's because Ed plays out of his mind.
  13. I love the way the’ve built the roster on offense. It's worked! I think they tried a similar approach on defense but keep missing that key player. They wanted it to be Von... He got injured. Then Milano... Injured. Ed Oliver? He's inconsistent and to easily neutralized. Without that one key difference maker on defense, we end up with a very good defense with a lot of good players. But noone that can step up and take over a game when it 's needed.
  14. I think the forgotten point is that we haven’t had a fully healthy D since …49rs game? They’ve been testing one or more injured players since then. Plus, this will be the first time that we’re fully healthy going in to the playoffs in recent memory. Hopefully they stay that way! But, that’s what has me cautiously optimistic. Being fully healthy and all the day 1 starters playing is pretty big. They still have to execute and draw up plans to beat the best QBs and RBs in the league. But no excuses this time. If the articles are so bad that you wouldn’t pay 5cents, why are you upset that you can’t read them?
  15. I’m absolutely going next year. It’s the one place I want to experience.
  16. Seriously!! I was literally pricing flights for the WC game. How did I get my years wrong! lol. definitely going next year
  17. Isn’t THIS the last season in the stadium ?
  18. I’m envious. I’ve seen the Bills play in a lot of stadiums, but never had the fortune of making it to Rich Stadium. I had a trip planned for this fall, but family issues kept me out. Now…. I have 2 games left to splurge and try to make it happen. wish I coulda been there
  19. If anyone really thought Josh wasn’t going to start and get a few plays, if not a full series, just admit you started watching football 6 months ago. No way he’s going to just give up his consecutive start streak.
  20. The offense and Josh have never been a problem in the post season. I don’t see why this year is any different. If anything, I suspect other teams will have to figure out ways to keep pace. The Defense will be what determines just how far our season goes.
  21. Colts are all but out now? I think Broncos still have the most likely path. Win and in. Bengals and Fins need to win and hope the other 2 lose… I think. Fins have the tiebreaker over bengals. I think?
