What are you doing with the spare time before the game?
Dan replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Took down all the fall decorations. Bought a Christmas tree and a few new Christmas decorations to put up next weekend. -
Easily the best game/match up breakdown out there. Thank you.

Raiders @ Chiefs — Black Friday — 3 PM Eastern — Prime Video

The way I see it… Bills need to play hard for at least 3 weeks. After the Lions game (maybe the 1st Pats game)… see where the standings are. At that point either keep playing hard for the 1 seed. Or rest players as needed to be healthy for the playoffs. AND if they get to the last week and #1 is not possible ..treat it like a bye. -

Agreed. That call was pure arrogance. One more run and the game is likely over. At most it’s 4th and 1 and they could pick that up and end the game. -

Watching this game there’s only 1 of 2 possibilities: 1. The Chiefs are aging and tired, yet the luckiest team in the league. 2. The Chiefs are in complete cruise control doing as little as they can, treating these games like preseason, waiting to get to the playoffs. it’s amazing how average they look -
Demoted to playing safety on the scout team. WTF

Agreed… someone. Any one… should have just ran on to the field and called a time out. Hit a sideline pass.. go for the long FG to tie.
-
Maybe. LOL

If you have a healthy Bernard and Milano… I can’t think of any scenario where I pull one of them off the field in favor of one of those guys. Just no way. And I agree with other posters… if we play Baltimore again, and Milano is healthy… they have to play a lot of 3 LB sets to have him, Bernard and Willams on the field to stop the run.

Agreed. lol. Just saying. You could ask McD what 2+2 is. And he’d probably refer you to the analytics department.

I think I can answer those for the coach…. 1) We’re always looking for ways to improve. We’ll continue to evaluate what works and learn from our mistakes. As a team, I think we can always improve. 2) We feel we have the best equipment staff in the league. I’m sure they’ll be ready for whatever weather we face. 3) Matt has worked really hard to get back on the field. He’s a true warrior. I won’t speculate on any timelines, that’s a decision for himself and the doctors. 4) *chuckling*. It’s hard to separate yourself from the game during the season, but we’ve all taken the time we need to rest and get ready for the next game.

Gotta say I watched the first half of the season highlights linked upstream… yeah. His voice is grating and really takes away from the plays! Not to mention he doesn’t really call the play as it’s happening. Overall it was not pleasant. They need an upgrade. I wanna like him.. he’s been with the Bills for so long …but he’s not really good at PBP.

I’ve decided to just stop reading this thread because of the devolution of discussion. But on my way out, just felt the urge to rhetorically ask, why you’re even here? If nothing the Bills have ever done or are doing matters, until they win the Superbowl, why not just tune out until that game? It’s fairly clear that nothing they accomplish currently matters. I do wonder though, if they win the Superbowl this year… does the narrative become well you can’t support them till they win 2 in a row like the Chiefs? Some people just can’t be happy, and seem to only enjoy when they tell us all how unhappy we should be. In an effort to contribute something, I’ll just say I don’t think it matters Purdy or not.. If we shut down the run game we win. I just don’t see Purdy with a sore shoulder or a backup coming to Buffalo in that weather and being able to move the ball effectively through the air.

The Browns are doing their best to give the Bills higher seeding

I hope you’re right! -

Agreed. I’d prefer Miami just go away. The Ravens strengths are our weaknesses, so that is in many ways a tough matchup if it comes to it. But the Dolphins have familiarity and lots of motivation. I’d just prefer to not face them again. -
11/17/24 Game 11 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Chiefs Gameday Thread
Dan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I want the Bills to win in every game, every time. Regardless of “meaning”. Bills by a Billion!! GO BILLS! -
Agreed…. Burrow is maybe not in the top 5 QBs currently. If he is he’s #5.
-
I’m not sure you can say that. To be fair though… the 13 second game was the Divisional round. Even had we won, there is no guarantee the Bills win the championship the following week. We all assume, and fully saw that team as unstoppable… but that game was not for the championship which so many people seem to gloss over.
-
That maybe, despite what some posters say, we don’t have the worst WRs and starting safeties on the league.
-
Maybe some of the people here aren’t all that smart after all? hmmmm….
-
I’m sure there’s more to it than this… but the way I see it… both Coleman and Cooper have wrist/hand concerns. So they can run fine. We keep trotting #1 and #89 out there every week and neither does more than run around and make sure we have 11 people on the field. Why not let Coleman and Cooper be those that run around and don’t catch any passes? At least the defense thinks they might. If I’m on the defense and #89 goes in the game, why would you think he’s a viable receiving option on the play? He’s clearly there just to go in motion and run around. I’d be stacking the box and doubling the other WR every time.
-
It’s a wrist… you don’t need that to run decoy routes do you? I say take the injury report and play him, limited.

Bills signing Quinton Jefferson; Update..AND Jordan Phillips
Dan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
We had 2 roster spots open. We just got gashed on the ground …again. Signing DTs makes sense. And for those wanting pro bowl talent… you don’t get that without giving up considerable draft picks AND money. So what do you expect? I would qualify these as solid moves to get try and shore up one of our greatest areas of current need. It also tells me the injuries to Keon, Cooper, Benford… aren’t that serious and they’re expected to be back soon.
