  1. C'mon man...not even close! Every guy on that list, except Peterman, had some degree of success. Peterman has stunk in every apperence...as one old enough to remember them all, I have to say Peterman, by a long shot. Two starts, two losses that were so bad, he had to be yanked before the game was even over. Even Jeff Tuel (who I have heard him compared to a few times in the last 24 hours) and Thad Lewis played well enough to keep their teams in games, until making one fatal blunder...he has QB'd two of historically awful Bills offensive performances. If I recall thouhg, both Dufek and Mathison, had a few games that they kept the team in the game, before making mistakes to lose the game...I think Mathison even had a 300 yard game,. somewhere along the way.
  2. Unless they bring in another QB, they have to go with Allen. If they put Peterman back in, it sends the absolute wrong message...to everybody. Allen has a lot to learn, but not as much as Peterman. Allen doesn't look scared. Peterman (to borrow a phrase from the JP Losman era) plays like he has a "bee in his helmet". I have no doubt that he is a good guy, and a great teammate, but he may be the worst QB we have seen play in a Bills uniform, this century. I was willing to give him the benefit of a doubt after the Chargers game last year, but sitting and learning from Tyrod didn't do anything for his game...what good is sitting and learning from Peterman going to do for Allen? McDermot/Bean really blundered this, in my opinion...they have left themselves with little other choice than to start Allen. Personally, I think he can handle it...if he can't so be it...playing in Buffalo he's going to have to learn fast.
  3. I liked Tyrod, and would not have been upset had they kept him. Though, I certainly understand why they did. I think they had a solid enough plan to replace him, until they traded McCarron. Then it kind of went out the window. McDermott and Beane have to take some blame for this. McCarron may have very well sucked too, but this marks the second time in a year that they badly mis-read Petermans' ability to play at the NFL level. I don't believe they are intentionally setting out to tank the season, but that was some leap of faith, trading away McCarron, your "vetran" backup, for a guy who had one (very bad) start under his belt.
  4. Not to mention, he avoided about 4 or 5 sacks that the other guy would have taken.
  5. Going in to last season, my optimism for the Bills coming season was probably as low as it has ever been...then they back their way into the playoffs, and it turned out to be a really fun season. After that, I am just trying not to have any expectations, other than just trying to enjoy the games every Sunday. Good or bad, watching the Bills on football Sundays is still one of the few joys in life. Been doing it for 48 years or so....more bad than good...but still a great time. They showed me last year, you just never know what can happen.
  6. It has always cracked me up how sentimental so many Bills fans were/are about Larry Felser, yet loathe Sullivan. Felser was as negative as they come. Not saying i don't like him, but he always ripped the Bills, even in the better years. I think Sullivan makes some valid points...covering a perenial losing franchise would likely ware anybody out. How can you not be negative?
  7. Signing Jaylen Watkins didn't help Sammy Watkins in Buffalo.
  8. Just curious...what do you think Schwartz would have done with the QB situation? Does he have some history of bringing up great QB's in the NFL that I am unaware of?
  9. There are rumors out there that Richie started acting very erratic, in his final months on the Bills squad..so much so that he was banned from team facilities before he was cut. I think the Incognito ship has truly sailed...his NFL career is over.
  10. ESPN still > NFL Network. NFLN is mostly unwatchable...a pity, becasue it could actually be good...but it isn't.
  11. They are both great..Ana Gunn was stellar...
  12. Though I really grew to hate them, Supertramp "Crime of the Century" is a great album...where I am, you never hear them on the radio.
  13. Yet you support the biggest douchebag of all.
  14. The only Republican I ever considered voting for. RIP.
  15. Did you know that Raquel Welch was in the running to play Mary-anne? Imagine how different Gilligan's Island would have been.
  16. Holy ****! I found it...I'm not crazy. Thanks to the great Steve Cichon...if you remember those Braves, you will really enjoy this! http://blog.buffalostories.com/remembering-memorial-auditorium-and-the-nba-buffalo-braves-randy-smith-sings-the-the-bob-mcadoo-song/
  17. I haven't read every response in this thread, so forgive me if this has already been said...I agree with what you are saying in regards to Taskers' take on Peterman. I also noticed, after the first preseason game, that Murphy was really adamant that he was all in on Allen starting week 1, verses Baltimore. It seemed almost too contrived...if you have listened to the John Murphy Show/One Bills Live, you would expect Murphy to be the one saying "they should work Allen in slowly"...and Taskers' gushing over Peterman has been a little over the top...though, I do think Peterman has played pretty well...it just seemed that there has been a conscious attempt on that radio show, since Tasker joined, to help Murphy shake his "stick in the mud" persona, which really was pronounced when Donald Jones was the co-host. Each of them having a different opinion on who should start, seems to be an attempt to create more "lively" discussions on the QB situation...which takes up about 86% of the shows content. It would be pretty boring (or more boring some would argue) if they both agreed.
  18. Personally, I think when they hired Rex, he became the de-facto GM. Rex seemed to get everything he wanted, and it was a disaster. For these clowns to complain about the personnel situation while they were here (collecting way too much money) is just bull ****. The rosters that the clown brothers had to work with were hardly devoid of talent. Not saying Whaley was perfect, but he never got to hire his own coach. Marrone, for all his faults, was okay, but Rex Ryan was a horrible hire.
