Josh Allen Fantasy Value
EmotionallyUnstable replied to atomicpwrd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a league with 10 friends and each year the new league champion can propose new rules that have to be voted for by 6 of 10 owners to invoke (point increase, bench, IDP, etc). My one ####### of a friend, who talks so much trash and undoubtedly always finishes poorly, swears he will bring the auction to our league. These past two years, league winners have brought auction to a vote just to piss him off, with final votes ending 9 to 1 in consecutive years. Maybe next year. -

Late round flier, at best. Depending on the format (I'm in a few this year), Allen will likely float between someone's bench and the waiver wire. -
The Boss is real interested in a great Pyrenees- poodle female mix that is currently with a local foster family. I dog walk/sit/board in the summers, so he has had many overnight visitors and guests. They never have issues, but he definitely gets along better with some than others. On one hand he plays non-stop and couldn't seem more happy. On the other, certain dogs he will simply coexhist with, which is not my intended result.

About 3 years ago, my wife and I adopted a 50 lb beagle/Sheppard mix who has worked out wonderfully. Everything from sleeping to walking, eating, watching TV and playtime have been great. I was apprehensive at the time, having just moved into a new home, knowing all the work and time we wanted to put into it. Despite those feelings, my dog has been a fantastic addition to our family. He is easy going, blends with our schedule and feeds off our steady routine. Having just watched another dog this past week, we saw how great it could be for our dog to have another canine pal to play with. Specifically speaking, we wondered how the permanent addition of another dog would improve his quality of life while we are both at work (normal 8 hour days alone). Again, I'm weary of a change, as I've grown to love the routine, situation and set up we currently have. Am I being selfish? Should I cave and give the okay and hope for the best? Should I stand Pat and not jeapordize the success we've had from this adoption? What say you? Anyone adopt a second pup after a successful first? Thoughts?

Sabres parking can be simple or a nightmare. For those who don't mind walking, you can find pretty cheap or even free parking and hoof it to the stadium. If you want to be closer, you are forsaken to the congested crowd of 18 thousand plus all trying to go the same way on a single street. A DT standium with the current infastructure is not practical IMO.

Idk if this has been covered, but I've seen a lot about the rebirth of the city in this thread. Despite all the growth in business and renovations we see at face value, it is important to note that the City of Buffalo is grossly behind budget. In fact, the past few school years they have had to borrow for the Buffalo Public School accounts just to make their payments/bills. So I ask, with a clear deficit and Mayor Brown refusing to raise taxes, how exactly is this stadium being paid for?

Last year they broadcast this live on WGR or something similar IIRC. Anything like that this year? -

Workshop? Just a car port? Storage? Gym? Italian living room? My wife and I got to talking about garages and how it’s very interesting that people in the same culture use them so vastly different. For us, we use ours for everything. It’s our main entrance, packed with tools and miscellaneous items for storage. It's shelter for her car. We leave the door open 80% of the day. This is in total contrast to our neighbor who is likely a serial killer. Garage door is always closed unless pulling in his car and he immediately closes it after he is inside before evening getting out or shutting off the car. On the few rare occasions I’ve seen in, it is completely bare. Just a large room with nothing hanging, no storage, no beer fridge, nothing. So...garage. Whats it to ya?

I’m a proud union member and appreciate all they do. Little know the hours of negotiations, meetings, arbitration and planning that goes into providing safety and security to those in my field. As many have stated, unions provide the balance to employers in order to “level the playing field” for workers. It only takes a single instance to appreciate the support and protection a union/backed contract can provide. Our Union just like many others, does not, and should not, protect against incompetence in the work place. However, as some have mentioned, they can make termination difficult. But I firmly believe the Average Joe isn’t even aware of what a modern union does, stands for or protects.

I reckon the uppers shall come on today. This should make things a little more interesting with the OL/DL competition. If you're planning on going, don't forget it is a ticketed practice! Thanks for all the twitter updates from many, many posters. I love the feed. Keep 'em coming!

Astro Notes: Bills Practice 2 (7/26)
EmotionallyUnstable replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I used to love his write ups and still appreciate the time he puts into these things. However, I’ve been enjoying the tweet updates more that these write ups lately because of the color Astro puts into them. They are overly positive with his own opinions clearly written into them. That’s not to say they’re right or wrong, good or bad, but I just like to know they line ups, plays, etc. -

Mahomes vs. Allen comparison can end yesterday, as well. Drives me nuts “we could have had Gronk, Von Miller, Russel Wilson...” Josh Allen is our guy and I want him to win football games. Idc about anyone else and how far they can throw it. No offense to the OP -
Did the online chat this morning. I typed "Customer Loyalty" into the chat, received an automated response and was forwarded to 'Nilton'.... After 5 minutes of administrative bull, he asked what we were looking for. My first goal was to secure our cable at a reasonable cost. We get the most basic SELECT package for 54 bucks (on promotion). I simply stated that I thought it was a fair price for what we were receiving, especially given the CBS blackout, and hoped to extend the promotion. In another five, he said it was possible and locked us in for another 12 months at that price. It was simple, pleasant and worth the 20 minutes of time while I put down the crossword and drank my coffee. What was WEIRD, however, was that following this dialogue I immediately asked about Sunday Ticket and RedZone. Nilton, repeatedly states, that there was NO WAY to do a promotional price or deal at this time. I even asked if he could sign me up for the regular package at full price and he said NO! He continually told me to try back closer to the season when prices and promotions will be at their peak value. I find this extremely weird and have never experienced this before. Even after expressing that I know others have received deals and promotions and asked as to why it was possible for others but not our account, I was met with: Nilton: I can not assure you that information but no worries, I assure you that we will have promotions available soon for the NFL. Anyone ever experienced this before?!

Our area is experiencing a black out of CBS through DTV currently due to lack of a contract and a fall-out in negotiations. I’m going to use this as a bargaining chip for sure . However, I’ll likely ask for what I have now just to continue with the deal (60 a month)

Snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like. I’m not trying to go JPP style -
@JohnC We are two totally different types of hockey fans. You seem extremely knowledgable and I am admittedly new to the sport. That being said, why is it so wrong to want to be good now? I watch hockey purely for enjoyment. I want to see scoring, wins and a playoff run. I’d rather have one in the hand then two in the bush so putting off potential successes to snub a shot at a good season now is crazy to me. Go get the guys to be good now! Idk how to do it, who to move, or who to acquire, but that’s not my job. As others have said, other teams have done it. If I watch another wasted season playing mediocre to subpar hockey (see January/February), it will be clear that they are still a mess regardless of what you perceive to be a good administration.
