  1. Anyone watching Broncos/Falcons on NFLN? Super annoying how they don't talk about the current game. So out of touch with what the fans want from pre-season. Sorry, I want commentation on the players who are fighting for a roster spot. I don't need a mod-game interview with Ty Law. Just goes to show you what National Media gives you.
  2. For those of you who need a roster for all the fringe guys/camp fodder: Bills: https://www.buffalobills.com/team/players-roster/ Colts: https://www.colts.com/team/players-roster/
  3. Still out in my area, antenna working surprisingly well though!
  4. Good fences make good neighbors
  5. How can John Brown be MVP of camp, but somehow not be considered the most valuable newcomer? These awards are dumb
  6. Totally forgot about him, thanks. He'll start the year on PUP, no? Maybe they'll carry three until he is activated
  7. I posted this is another thread So I called DTV about 212-1 "Edmond" told me that this is currently a temporary channel, that has no dates/times attached to it. If you receive 212, you should get 212-1. For those of you that are in-market for Bills games, I asked if he could guarantee that we'd receive the Bills game via this channel during preseason and regular season (currently cannot get CBS due to Nexstar blackout). He could not do this, but instead is sending us a 'free' local channel receiver that we can hook up to our current service in order to receive CBS to bypass the blackout. If it works, I should be good for the season. Regardless, I will call back to complain about the service the new receiver provides, to see if I can weasel out a good Sunday Ticket deal
  8. Smith, Knox, Sweeny and Croom? Idt they'll carry 4
  9. I see no reason to outright cut him if his injury carries into the regular season. He'd be a great candidate for PUP and they could decide to settle or activate him later down the stretch. Not sure how guaranteed money would play in here, but it couldn't be too much. Now if he is back healthy before the season, the may the best make the team

  11. So far, so good. My first dog seemed apprehensive at first, despite the pups high energy and desire to play. Day two we saw a warm up, with some solid play. Number two is learning the ropes (where to sit, basic training, routines) and she follows our oldest everywhere. Think this will be a good thing since we enjoy how our oldest behaves. Fingers crossed
  12. My programs in the guide show in two colors: white or gray. The white generally indicates I receive the channel, while gray means it isn't part of our packaged deal. The question remains: despite being able to access the channel (currently white), will I receive the broadcast since I'm a local customer?
  13. He's been as advertised according to many, many reports. He's made some flashy plays and has worked in with the one's with McCoy and Gore
  14. Agreed. It isn't worth the 1 or 2 series Allen may get that day. Plenty of TC and preseason left for that with lower risk of reinjury
  15. Right?! Did DTV add that in due to the CBS dispute? My NFL Network on 212 says something different but 212-1 NFLNaHD says Colts vs. Bills... I am in the local market, so I'm curious if it may be blacked out for us...
  16. Zero chance for Morse. No need.
  17. So now I have two dogs because happy wife, happy life! So far, so good. Lots of training and behavior correction in our near future
  18. It's totally possible, injuries aside, a reason for this move is that they want Ford immersed in the scheme, learning what the guard he potentially will play next to thinks, does, feels, etc. Agreed. In the Embedded series, you clearly see Beane view him as a Taxe when Carolina moves up...they wouldn't abandon it this quickly imo
  19. Why is it so difficult to imagine regression from a quarterback? You think that level of play is sustainable? I'm not arguing with your assessment that he has a tremendous first year. But it still was a single season and that doesn't necessary grant you similar status to Tom Brady. He has lots to prove
  20. Trying to iron it down into many specific categories gets even trickier. Are you going off of the QBs current abilities? Wentz is equal in skill to Dak? Mahomes had one, albeit FANTASTIC year, but is elite? I still think Goff, trubisky, Mahomes, etc are still as unknown as, say, Allen. You can project their career path based on a small sample size but the Law of Large Numners tells us it's not a great prOjextion. Regardless of your classifications, I'll still take the unproven AFC QBs than NFC
  21. Which conference do you think has stronger QB play? Like many have said, the tides are changing. With that in mind, it is certainly interesting to look at the long term projection for AFC/NFC QBs. Note: For this process, I’m looking at a players career and situation as a whole, including past, present and future. https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchartpos/QB AFC- Untouchables: Brady The Greats: Ben, Luck, Rivers, It is what it is: Carr, Dalton, Flacco, Mariota, Foles Up and Coming: Allen, Darnold, Mayfield, Mahomes, Rosen, Jackson, Watson Conference Summary: 4 upper echelon QBs, a hand full of veteran guys who stare mediocrity down the barrel, and 7 young guns, some of which have the potential to be greats. NFC- Untouchables: Brees, Rogers The Greats: Eli, Russell, Newton It is what it is: Ryan, Stafford, Cousins, Winston, Prescott, Garoppolo Up and coming: Wentz, Haskins, Trubisky, Murray, Goff Conference Summary: 5 upper echelon QBs, 3 of which are on their way out the door. 6 that I could care less for. 5 up and coming, young players that the jury is still out on. Findings and Thoughts: The AFC has the brighter group of young, up and coming players IMO. Mahomes leads the wAy with his stellar breakout year. Allen, Darnold, Mayfield and Watson have all shown potential to be game changers and carry a team. Rosen and Jackson round out the class, carrying potential, but in a less than ideal situation for both. Though this group is collectively less experienced and developed than the NFC, I think they hold the torch. The NFC young guns, lead by MVP hopeful Wentz, has a pocket of more established players with some complete unknowns. Wentz, despite his MVP caliber play at times, cannot stay healthy. Goff and Trubisky have both taken huge strides in the right direction. How much of that improvement was schematic (McVay) or feeding off of a fantastic defense? The rookies I have little hope for. I think they’re positioned in sub-par situations (specifically, Haskins) and are in for a troubling couple of years. In 10 years from now, how many of those AFC or NFC guys will still be around, sitting on top of the "Untouchable" or "Great" categories? So what say you? Do you disagree with my assessments of current and projected careers? Do you feel similarly or differently to my view of the AFC QBs?
