  1. I wonder if they can sign the kicker to the PS and use him as a game day elevation a few times to test him out. It would mean both bass and the new guy would be active on game day, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
  2. there are lies, damn lies, and statistics. Bass is missing wildly in all different ways from all different distances (usually short ones too). If he was just missing long attempts or just missing to the right, I would feel a lot better. These shanks, then pull hooks, then slices, etc. are alarming.
  3. This dude vs Bass at wrestlemania. Winner gets the job.
  4. I see what you are saying. He is very off balance at the start. On the kick above, he is also at the right hash, so he is trying to draw it a little. I think he just can’t kick a draw like that without the risk of duck hooking it. He is a mess. I think it is a balance thing and just a lot of band aides on trying to fix his slices.
  5. Agree. No idea. the best analogy I can come with is a golf swing. Some guys just have natural fades (or draws). I am not sure a guy like bass with his fade can change his natural style now without a lot of inconsistencies, and that may be what we are seeing.
  6. I was just re-watching the missed PAT. I don’t get why Bass comes in to the ball so much to the right. I believe the conventional kicking Wisdom is you kick it on the lower left hand side of the ball. I suspect he has been changing it up to compensate for his “slices”— but coming in and hitting on the low right side is causing these bad duck hooks. he needs to just go back to his natural fade.
  7. This is awesome.
  8. That’s fair. I think his shortcomings are more noticeable because we also don’t have Milano out there (and have missed Bernard and Johnson for stretches too). A middle of the defense featuring those three guys would make Hamlin look a lot better.
  9. the broadcast made it seem like the one end of the field (where the two short kicks were missed) was swirling badly.
  10. I actually think we are at the point where Bass is so far gone mentally that anyone else will do. I don’t mind getting a guy on the market who is inconsistent from 45+. But we got to have someone who can basically make automatic 40-yarders and PATs, and there are people out there who can.
  11. Hindsight is 20/20. But I am at the point with this team that I would rather see them be super over-aggressive and get burned that way. Blitz and send 5 rushers, or even 6.
  12. He’s going to get cut, I bet. I love Williams. His main issue is he doesn’t seem close to being fully recovered.
  13. Bass is probably getting another pass due to the wind and how Zurlein kicked in it too.
  14. Agreed. just like golf. Bass has so many band aids now on his kicking motion, it’s really unrecognizable. Reminds Me of when I develop a bad golf issue, and I start going to YouTube to try to fix it.
  15. Honestly, it could have been a number of guys getting cut. For example, I can’t believe how poor the production has been from Samuel.
  16. this buddy has given up on them. He hates Watson (for obvious reasons), and is now boycotting the team.
  17. give me the crew from last night, please.
  18. Good point. That said, he is an excellent backup safety. He just doesn’t have the speed or ball skills to really be a starter.
  19. My buddy who is a Browns fan still thinks cooper is very good.
  20. Assuming we didn’t give up too much, this could be a steal. Dude is paying on like a $1.8 mill contract, as I recall.
  21. I have no memory of this movie, but have always been able to quote this entire scene!! “He’ll be crying himself to sleep tonight on his huge pillow.”! 🤣
