So if the corner plays off coverage, does that count as “separation?” what if the receiver has separation at some point in the route but not at another point? this stat seems so fishy.

I feel For Diggs and wish him well. And I hope he returns to form. But his antics here cost him the cushion of a long-term deal that would have provided huge security for an injury like this. he engineered his way out, got basically a 1-year deal from the Texans, and he will be on the 1-year deal carousel now probably for the rest of his career.

Agree. I suspect he is heading to the PS. He brings a lot of wiggle to the run game— really liked him in preseason.

I think Johnson is vastly overrated. Major problems with consistency, plus a bad attitude. I guess he might do well as a complimentary guy on a winning team, but I still much prefer a guy like Cooper.

Flacco though isn’t out there getting fooled. If he is throwing picks, it’s because he is aggressively moving the ball downfield. I also think some of his down games have been when he hasn’t had a running game. I think JT was out for a few of his starts this year. I just think the narrative of him being an old statue who will get sacked and turn the ball over is not accurate. He brings a ton more juice to that offense. Now you suddenly have to worry about Pittman, Downs, and Mitchell, in addition to the usual worry about JT in the run game.

Flacco has looked great the last two years. Maybe he will take 1-2 sacks against us, but he has great pocket presence and he is going to be chucking it. And they have three really great receivers, not to mention JT.

He is really good as a situational speed rusher. He was snake bit with injuries his first two years.

I believe Keon sort of turned the corner yesterday. He put together a really complete game and did a lot of things he hadn’t done before, including catching that fade and that seam ball. I actually can see him using the game to catapult himself to that top tier. His confidence is growing!

I made that same Fred Jackson comment during the game. Always moving forward for like another 4 yards.
