Somewhat boring story. Grew up in WNY and started watching football and getting into it around 1986 when I was 8 years old. Bills held a TC practice at my local high school in Rochester in 1987 and got hooked then after getting autographs from some of the players. Perfect timing— for the rise of those great teams!

Off the subject, but funny to consider how few 1,000-yard receivers we have had over the last decade or so. I think you had a stretch where Stevie had a few 1,000 yard years like that, and maybe one with Sammy. Forget about having anyone, like a Hopkins, who can catch 100-120 balls each year! The JB/Beasley combo has probably been the most productive based on catches and yards from a 1 and 2 the Bills have had since Moulds/Price.

One thing I don’t want to see on Saturday is a lot of Josh Allen QB sneaks. Those Tom Brady-like sneaks are always so much harder for us. While it’s been cool to see JA to do these heroic dives (like in the Cowboys and Pats game), it seems like we just aren’t getting much push on those sneaks.

I love Syracuse basketball. But to miss a Bills playoff game for even watching a great Syracuse team play (let alone the garbage they have out there this year) is tough to do. You definitely won’t regret it.

this is where I am at. I have the Bills winning 27-24, and Singletary being named MVP. ? I am rooting hard for the Saints in the NFC, if, for no other reason, to make sure we don’t see a repeat of last year of the patriots confusing a young QB. Brees is not going to be fooled by BB.

kind of an interesting debate as to where Lamar’s season ranks re the all-time best seasons for a QB. you sort of forget, but Peyton Manning’s first season with the Broncos was redoes-breaking— 5500 passing yards and over 50 TDs! i do think Lamar’s season this year should be in the discussion for one of the greatest seasons ever by a QB. From a pure stats perspective, the 68% completion percentage, 3200 yards, 1200 rushing yards, high TD total, super low INT total— it could be one of the best ever.

Quick TV question, for anyone that knows. The game is on ABC and ESPN. Does that mean we can watch on either channel? Or does showing it on local ABC somehow blackout showing it on ESPN?
