Like if he is a DC who say uses a 4-3 in defense goes to a team designed around a 3-4 woukd take longer to build up and change things. 3 cap situation on team over the next few years. There are better jobs to have where a team drafted high and have some core pieces filled or has a ton of draft capital to improve a team and they are a team with cap space.
