  1. From revenue standpoint NFC hosts thus game given they have 9 next year. Carolina hosting AFC opponent possibke in Europe.
  2. The rules are more organizational workout stuff therr are no rules thst say a player in the off season can’t come and use the workout facilities or physical rehab post injury in the offseason there are rules on organized team events especially between draft and camp opens coaches can talk to players all the time and get their input FA players they could sign or who they might draft.
  3. This was known for some time this is why CBS and NBC flipped super bowl coverage slots knoeingMichaels last year on NBC. next year he probably just works from his Bay Area home doing Amazon games
  4. Tuesday night CBS has a SB commercial special
  5. finished 3 yrs team has to pick up 5 th yr option coukd there be a trade. I doubt it but anything is possible.
  6. There might be an online one
  7. This weekend we have started to see some leaks on the commercials set to air One is Colin Jost of SNL weekend update and his wife Scarlett Johansson doing Amazon Alexa ad.
  8. hasnt Louie been a HC twice already?
  9. actually watching the celebs on Saturday is interesting where they do some interviews and it can be a little more light hearted that the professional seriousness of the players. I watch the major tournaments. Others I might have on if I’m home. If it’s a close finish I’ll pay more attention to it. it’s similar to watching baseball. You might not pay attention to it till late in the game.
  10. in the past years the tourney at PB was after the SB. You didn’t have the pro bowl conflict. it was usually Torrey pines in San Diego on the nfl off week, Phoenix on super Sunday, then pebble beach, then LA. When SB was in Phoenix then it would flip Torrey pines and Phoenix weekends. this year with SB moving a week later they had to shift things. of course if buffalo was in the super bowl he wouldn’t be golfing. the pro am is different because you have name celebs from athletes from other sports and actor.s musicians and other known names like corporate CEOs or politicians/ former military. billy Murray has been a staple for this for years. As what was mentioned…they interviewed Allen on TV. I think yesterday he wasn’t playing at pebble beach but on one of the other courses. The league isn’t going to care. He wasn’t named an original selectee for it.
  11. dont buy it for one second. after HC firing it’s very rare staff stay. The DC rather go work with a peop,e he knows and a better team vs going with a coach/ gm that might have a very different opinion on plans and structure like he’s a 3-4 person not wanting to go to a 4-3 timescoaches stay is generally when the coaches already know each other like they were coworkers on a team a few years back or the former head coach he replaced came from the same coaching tree so they might know the same people and are familiar with the same system or approach.
  12. Pro am cut line for pairs https://www.pgatour.com/competition/2022/at-t-pebble-beach-pro-am/amateur-leaderboard.html
  13. not really… in nba and nhl there isn’t as much high end talent. If you look at the draft history the best star players tend to be top 5 picks. You can get some very good players elsewhere in the top 20. After that there isn’t certainty. in the nfl— in part due to many more positions to choose from— you don’t have the talent drop off. You can get Srar players outside the top 20 easily. You see your 2nd and 3rd rounders make an impact that season. an argument fir a lottery in the nfl can be tied to the wide difference in schedukes of teams. In nhl and nba e ery team plays each other 2 ti es at least so over the course of a season the better teams woukd emerge under notmal conditions. In both leagues you can get injuries that knock out star players fir a season so a team can fall. in the nfl two teams can have only 2 common opponents if they didn’t play each other. On top of that you have home-road differences even in common opponents. Comparing two teams at the same record is very difficult because of the differences in opponents. If they do a lottery it coukd follow some early styles where a team is able to move up at most say 8 spots in the draft no matter where they draft…even if a playoff team. you can have a 3rd place prize of moving up 5 spots, 2nd place of 7 spots, and1st place of 10 spots. But if you choose to do this you can win again for the next 4 drafts. This lottery affects traded picks so the acquiring team picking up this pick, the move up applies to their team. Teams with multiple wins in same draft can only move one if they choose to.
  14. I think Aaron has some country music interest and possibly work in that post nfl since he burned the jeopardy bridge
  15. Unless the Torrey changed… they rotate the first 3 days among the three courses there. after Saturday is cut day based on top for tournament as a pro and top tanked teams make the cut for Sunday and they play on pebble beach.
  16. So now cammandoes…
  17. ithink part of the issue was stereotypes in hoe team logos and other things were displayed Chiefs braves and the tomahawk chop is offensive. braves and chiefs alone aren’t offensive. Chief is the head of a tribe. Braves is in reference to the national anthem and how some refer to native Americans Indians on the surface isn’t offensive Warriors has other meaning from military references. My high school nick name was that and logo was a chief head, they coukd have kept name but change the logo. college teams used tribal names. Most are gone except for the seminoles.
  18. I don’t think he does. this year you have potential some bigger names out there Rodgers of Packers Wilson of seahawks cousins of Vikings Watson of Texans teams will go for them over him. there are others out there who would be equal to him on the potential market for second chances. he doesn’t want to go to a team being a warm body till they develop a prospect ( see Tyrod Taylor) it’s better for him to stay in Buffalo.
  19. You don’t know things until the first interview of what system they have and how things are run. Some teams are ass backwards. it happens in the real world. You apply for a job in your field. In the first interview you should be asking them how things are runand if you really fit there or does the job title not exactly match what you want to do.
  20. rewarding hiring minorities…should the development be worth more than just hiring? Right now teams who lose their coaches get comped so there is incentive to develop them look at starting level jr coaching jobs, mid level position coaches, coordinators. More climb the ladder the more that will get to head coaches.
  21. Many coaches who want a promotion back away from offers if they didn’t like it. I’m farther in my career. Just because I got offered a better paying job means I’ll take it. There is more to it. on the surface with the Vikings you can have sone potential issues like 1 a QB keaving thus big hole at QB and not in a great draft position to take a new QB or in a good position to draft one. 2 mismatch in team goals and philosophy. Like if he is a DC who say uses a 4-3 in defense goes to a team designed around a 3-4 woukd take longer to build up and change things. 3 cap situation on team over the next few years. There are better jobs to have where a team drafted high and have some core pieces filled or has a ton of draft capital to improve a team and they are a team with cap space.
  22. I agree. When he was hired as GM by the giants Daboll was the favorite. Daboll on his own worked earned a head coaching opportunity so it wasn’t a reach to hire him. this Rooney rule have to interview sham interviews have happened many times over the years where you have a retiring head coach or a successful interim coach. thus was not a good example to try and make a stand on.
  23. That’s not how it is in the NFL which is a small career field. think about it this way… in Hollywood when making tv shows and movies. You build connections from past work in the military on changing assignments over a career of 15+ years if you are in the same small specialty area your paths cross again. in the music industry to cross paths in production, writing, as well as performing in employment. in professional careers you keep former contacts in networking. the NFL coaching is a small club. By keeping contacts is how you get jobs over the course of a career since you are usually fired with the head coach gets fired even if you weren’t at fault. in the NFL look at coaching trees and successful coaches tend to branch out where firmer coaches go to other teams advancing their career.
