ithink part of the issue was stereotypes in hoe team logos and other things were displayed Chiefs braves and the tomahawk chop is offensive. braves and chiefs alone aren’t offensive. Chief is the head of a tribe. Braves is in reference to the national anthem and how some refer to native Americans Indians on the surface isn’t offensive Warriors has other meaning from military references. My high school nick name was that and logo was a chief head, they coukd have kept name but change the logo. college teams used tribal names. Most are gone except for the seminoles.

I don’t think he does. this year you have potential some bigger names out there Rodgers of Packers Wilson of seahawks cousins of Vikings Watson of Texans teams will go for them over him. there are others out there who would be equal to him on the potential market for second chances. he doesn’t want to go to a team being a warm body till they develop a prospect ( see Tyrod Taylor) it’s better for him to stay in Buffalo.

You don’t know things until the first interview of what system they have and how things are run. Some teams are ass backwards. it happens in the real world. You apply for a job in your field. In the first interview you should be asking them how things are runand if you really fit there or does the job title not exactly match what you want to do. -

rewarding hiring minorities…should the development be worth more than just hiring? Right now teams who lose their coaches get comped so there is incentive to develop them look at starting level jr coaching jobs, mid level position coaches, coordinators. More climb the ladder the more that will get to head coaches. -

Many coaches who want a promotion back away from offers if they didn’t like it. I’m farther in my career. Just because I got offered a better paying job means I’ll take it. There is more to it. on the surface with the Vikings you can have sone potential issues like 1 a QB keaving thus big hole at QB and not in a great draft position to take a new QB or in a good position to draft one. 2 mismatch in team goals and philosophy. Like if he is a DC who say uses a 4-3 in defense goes to a team designed around a 3-4 woukd take longer to build up and change things. 3 cap situation on team over the next few years. There are better jobs to have where a team drafted high and have some core pieces filled or has a ton of draft capital to improve a team and they are a team with cap space. -

I agree. When he was hired as GM by the giants Daboll was the favorite. Daboll on his own worked earned a head coaching opportunity so it wasn’t a reach to hire him. this Rooney rule have to interview sham interviews have happened many times over the years where you have a retiring head coach or a successful interim coach. thus was not a good example to try and make a stand on. -

That’s not how it is in the NFL which is a small career field. think about it this way… in Hollywood when making tv shows and movies. You build connections from past work in the military on changing assignments over a career of 15+ years if you are in the same small specialty area your paths cross again. in the music industry to cross paths in production, writing, as well as performing in employment. in professional careers you keep former contacts in networking. the NFL coaching is a small club. By keeping contacts is how you get jobs over the course of a career since you are usually fired with the head coach gets fired even if you weren’t at fault. in the NFL look at coaching trees and successful coaches tend to branch out where firmer coaches go to other teams advancing their career. -
go chasing tails….or tail chasers History lesson here… this name has been asked to be changed for a long time speculators have copyrighted and trademarked many of these potential team names that would have cost washington to pay millions to get rights to from speculators. they could not legally force these owners to give them up.

Aka Token it will be interesting to see what discovery comes out looking into coaching hire emails over the last 10 years. Flores shoukd yet have been fired based on team record. If he was fired whrn Miami was 1-7 he might not have filed this. -
logo yes…name not so much. A Blackhawk could be a bird. The only tribe I known of thst supported it’s name use/ depiction was the Seminoles
-
its offensive. numerous brands changed their name/ logo out of respect the the racists reference made in the logo Eskimo pies..Eskimo is deragstiry native American on land o lakes butter then uncle Ben and aunt Jemima

Gunner's 2022 Mock Draft (v3 and FINAL - p.17!!)

a team with pressure to win now and get an impact pkayer with their 1st might not take a risk on an injured player givrn you might not be fully 100% till 2923 season. a team with multiple 1st round picks can take thst risk. it’s similar to buffalo picking Rousseau given he didn’t play last year of college. Buffalo could absorb that risk on a late 1st rd pick. -
I think Thry took thrm lightly and being up 21-3 reinforced this. evrn though they failed end of first to score they knew they’d get the ball to start. maho es was making mistakes in the second half similar to early season plays where he missed throws or was off with receivers.
-
they were able to get them into 3rd and 5+ and they missed. they got him sacked in the second half. they got a turnover in regulation that git them points. The second turnover in OT was an equivalent to a punt. I coukdnt see an all 22 look and see what adjustments they made.

What I’m saying is if you have extra 1st rounder you are more likely to take the better player even though injured over the best healthy player. You view this as a bonus pick and not necessarily needing to contributing now. -

jets, angles, giants have multiple 1sts in the top half of the draft. I can see any of them taking a WR with one of these picks. Then there are other teams like chargers or Steelersor browns who have clear needs at WR if players leave as FAs.
