  1. such as the uncover cops baiting the fans to start a fight--by smack talking and oing other things----that is entrapment.
  2. I live in Seattle..... Seattle has been doing this for all their games (even the preseason) where they go in as undercover cops wearing opponents jerseys. I think some could argue entrapment
  3. I already posted it http://forums.twobil...marketing-deal/
  4. There is another rule where a player can call himself down immediately if he has the ball. For example say Buffalo has 10 seconds left at the opponents 40 wanting to get in field goal range. EJ through a crossing pattern to SJ....he has nobody around him and catches the ball around the 37 yard line with 3 seconds remaining. He can call himself down there and call a time out. I am also sure there is an under 2 minute rule about such a play and how the clock should and shouldnt start. If they player recovers a squib kick and doesnt even attempt to move the ball he is conceeding being down so the clock does not start. Had the squib kick touched a player initially and bounced then the clock begins once he touches the ball. All teams put WRs on the field playing DB on hail mary plays. As a defense you want players who can catch the ball and not tip it which is part of the reason DBs are DBs and not WRs.WRs are taught on how to play DB when there is need to defend agains a potential pick.
  5. I would post a link but the system isnt allowing me to....
  6. You can find this article in Ad Age and bleacher report among others..... Dollar Shave Club's One Wipe Charlies brand is about to give NFL offensive linemen the most media exposure they've had since New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez ran face-first into guard Brandon Moore's large rear end on national TV last Thanksgiving. One Wipe Charlies, the flushable wet toilet-paper product launched in June, has tapped four NFL centers -- Travis Frederick of the Dallas Cowboys; John Sullivan of the Minnesota Vikings; Eric Wood of the Buffalo Bills; and Nick Hardwick of the San Diego Chargers -- to appear in the male-targeted brand's "Clean Snap" ad campaign, said Dollar Shave CEO Mike Dubin. The beefy NFL offensive linemen don't get many endorsements, making the deal a bit unusual. The centers will promote One Wipe Charlies in radio spots created in-house. The tagline: "Every great play starts with a clean snap." Mr. Dubin thinks the unsung offensive linemen who determine the outcome of games in the trenches are the perfect endorsers for a brand that bills itself on its website as the "softest, manliest way to wipe your ass." "Everybody's got their eye on the center's ass all season long," he said. "That's why we picked them. They have to keep that area clean, not just on the field but off the field." There's also a charity component. Every time the company sees a tweet reading #cleansnap, it will donate $1 to the charity of the four centers' choice. Mr. Dubin declined to comment on how much he's paying the players. "Let's say they're more affordable than the quarterback," he said with a laugh. By working with only four centers, One Wipe Charlies didn't have to pursue an official deal with the NFL, which he said would have been too expensive. "If these guys are getting over $10,000 [for the deal], they're doing well," said Leigh Steinberg, CEO, Leigh Steinberg Sports & Entertainment. The most marketable QBs on Madison Avenue, such as Peyton and Eli Manning, won't even get out of bed for commercial gigs unless they start in the $75,000 to $100,000 range, added Mr. Steinberg.
  7. Wait.... Easley IR year 1 IR year 2---heart thing PS to start year 3, on the roster to close it. Easley hasnt been given the chance. I would like it if they gave Easley a shot. He does have speed.
  8. Thos who get season tickets may not go for whatever reason. With Toronto getting Atlanta, Carolina was probably the lowest interest game of the season where if people were going to pass on a game this is the game to pass. Also doing 3 games in 4 weeks can be tough for some people with other responsibilities. Many renewed before the schedule was even announced.
  9. It isnt too hard for people to do a game a year.....it really isnt all that much if you plan and save up for it. The cost of a ticket is by you saving $1-$2 per week. I live on the west coast so I dont come back much during the season other than around Christmas (not on christmas) but becasue my SIL family are season ticket holders its harder for me to go because we usually will set up where a SAT or SUN is with my family and the other is across town with her family. If Buffalo is home Sunday for her family is out which means we do it on Sunday. During the super bowl years I split season tickets with a few others. a friend of mine got season tickets and then throw his work 3 of his buddies and myself split a season tickets for 2 games each. It happens that I will be in town over Columbus Weeekend so I intend on going to the Cincinati game. Still need to talk to my SIOL family on if they have any extra ticket or I just buy one for myself near their section or in their section.
  10. I see Gilmore back maybe by week 4 if all goes well....but he will be limited on tackling.
  11. Jets im not worried about...i want the Pats to lose as much as possible.
  12. That station can change its listing....especially if they know there would be an influx of business in the area this weekend
  13. this is actually quite common in a read option system where the plays are the same but the focus may be on different receivers. Everythin is the same but one play is a straight run, one play is a QB run, aand two other plays are throws to different receivers.
  14. Actually with this game on FOX---fortunately the Giants are on CBS this week. If the Giants were on FOX then Syracuse, Utica, albany, Binghamton would have likely aired the Giants. In syracuse if there is only one game and both the bills and giants ae on FOX---Giants game is aired. they could travel down to Corning....
  15. Utica just has a FOX affiliate and CBS is from Syracuse. the road team decides the network. NFC (FOX), AFC (CBS)
  16. Corning/Elmira is not part of the blackout zone so going down 390 you will find it on TV.
  17. The problem is the Referees arent going to set the ball until officials are down the field. In theory if the official set the ball and teams could do a quick snap then you could get offsides and illegal formation. This is why I would actually like it if they adopted college rules that if a first down is made the clock is stopped until everything is set then restarts on the referees whistle. With 20 seconds left anda long downfield play the receiver instead of going down throws the ball as a lateral out of bounds which would be a penalty (unsure if its 5 or 15 or 10 second run off) but if he was to do this with 15 seconds uit may be a way to get the clock to stop.
  18. Has anyone forgetten----EJ is a rokkie while Vick has been around some time....
  19. i said it right when I saw the replay....the balls laces wee not pointed toward the goal posts but to the side.....this causes a weight imbalance and the ball hooks slightly to the ....right....
  20. i agree ----home vs road does make a difference. prior to week 17---the concern games I have are New orleans, Atlanta, and Baltimore in losing. If they win any of those games Id be pleasantly surprised. toss up games will be at pittsbugh, at Miami. the others they should win. They should be between 9-6, 10-5, or 11-4 going into the rematch. alot of times the strength of schedule has to do with the opponents they played the year before. How good teams do has lot to do with getting the right combination of opponets and the divisions they play. a couple of years again Cincinati benefited from having a weak combination of opponents in the A-South and N-West. Tampa bay and Kansas city also benefited from playing the weaker divisions as well which allowed them to earn 10-6 records.
  21. Based on last years QBs.... Luck---people circled him 3 years out. RG3-- He was also expected to step right in and play. Tannehill---had the big benefit of having his old coach as OC...thus familiar with the offense Weeden-- Being older, and thus more mature, was more likely to be able to step up and start. Wilson--surprise With Seattle (I live there and have seen many of the games) it was a primary running, strong defense, and safe passing to start the season. Had flynn started over wilson Seattle likely wouldnt have been that far off on the team performance. He may have been more of a factor in Seattle's early season loses (at division foes that all were loses). In 2011 Seattle was a WC contender. If the kicker made an early season last second FG to beat Atlanta then on week 15 Seattle would have controlled their own playoff fate. Indianapolis and clevelnad---I think its called luck (not the QB) Last year it was the opposite ends of extrmees. Cleveland after week 14 was 5-8...a play or two in prior games they could easily have been 10-3. They had the ball with the chance to take the lead late in the 3rd or in the 4th in 6 of the 8 loses---in the other two--Giants losss they had an early 14-0 lead with the ball in the redzone---apick 6 change momentum. Against Cincinati it was a back and forth 7/14 point defecit. If the defense could have stopped Cincy on one series the game is tied. This is why many people think Cleveland actually may compete for a wild card spot since they have a strong defense and strong RB and a QB gaining experience. they should be able to turn some of these loses to wins and thus compete. with Indianapolis....9 of their 11 wins were by one score or less and decided in the 4th quarter. They only convincingly beat JAX and HOU (with HOU resting their players in week 17). Had they not had this Luck and say ony won 5 instead of 9---they end up 7-9. This is why I am skeptical of some teams predictions of how Indy will do this year.
  22. i have seen on a few threads people do not understand Spillers contract. Spiller's contract does run through 2015....but the last year is an option year Spiller can opt out of.....which he will very very likely do. Effectively the end time of his contract is after the 2014 season.
