How TF does that ref call that a catch lol??

If the Bills re-sign Edmunds, they're stupid.
Bookie Man replied to damj's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really think he's more of a natural WLB. He could actually be really good on the outside. Would love to see this D with a good MLB and Edmunds outside. And a new DT. That's asking a lot and I know it will never happen though. -
But do see DBs mugging and taking down WRs downfield in fear of giving up the big play? Almost never. If anything, the DB is caught biting on a double move and hooks the WR, which is defensive holding. And if the DB is in good enough position downfield to mug the WR, then chances are he's in good enough position to try make a play. I don't see the mugging thing as an incentive being an issue at all. But yeah, better officiating would also be nice.

I asked how you felt about college PI rules. Genuinely asking.
-
How do you feel about CFB PI rules? Is 15 yards incentive for the defense or no? Do you see DBs mugging and taking down WRs to avoid giving up big plays? Has it ruined the game? You can't just tell the refs to "be better". You think they're not trying their hardest? They're just not that good at what they do...
-
How is there going to be better officiating? How long has officiating been *****? Basically forever. Do you really believe they’re going to all of a sudden get better? That’s just simply not happening. Therefore minimize the effect they can have on the game. You think 10 yards and automatic 1st down is a win for the defense? So on 3rd and 19 and it’s defensive holding, is that a win for the defense?
-
No more spot fouls. 10 yards automatic first down. And yes no ticky tack calls. It’s so lame every time it seems there’s a good play on a 50/50 ball, you’re holding your breath to see if the refs throw a flag. Then yep about 3 seconds after the play, a yellow flag comes flying into the screen.

Josh would erupt in a Kyle Shannahan style, run-first type offense. I hope they get aggressive with the trenches this off-season.. And Daboll gets a new job somewhere.
-
What are you saying here? Someone to tell Daboll he can’t establish a run game bc he has no rbs or OL? But you want that OL to try and block for Josh when the DC knows it’s a 93% chance to be a pass and they send an extra guy off the edge and the DL has their ears pinned back? It seems Daboll already feels pretty strongly that there’s no hope in a running game this year, so no one would actually need to tell him… I’m genuinely asking I’m not sure what your post means.

Bills will win out. And then...anything can happen
Bookie Man replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes but do you think it’s coincidence that we mounted a comeback and Josh looked way better, once they began to run the ball? When your OL is struggling in pass pro, you have to at least try and run the ball… more than twice in a half of football. I don’t know how this is not ok with so many on here. -

If they put an effort into s running game, absolutely. A running game is a qbs best friend, especially on the road. It’s unfair to 17 how one dimensional this offense is. -
DaBoll is one of the worst play callers in the league imo. His stubbornness against trying to establish a run game is infuriating.

Your answer has nothing to do with the question

There’s a narrative, absolutely no doubt. Remember when Gilmore was with Buffalo he’s on record saying how refs would come up to him pre game and say “Hey 24, we’re gonna be watching you today.” And he was like wtf. Like yeah you should be watching players every play. Why tf would a ref say that to a player. That minor detail shows the bias and corruption of officiating. You literally can throw an OL or defensive holding on any given play. Both are drive killers and extenders. It can be those most egregious call, but after the game it’s a forgotten forever. Absolutely ZERO accountability for shyt calls. If the player / coaches criticize officials they have to pay cash money. No freedom of speech in the NFL. Do you realize how ***** the officiating system is? These ***** need to be graded and fined / demoted for bad performances. NFL officiating is like centralized banking, they can do whatever they want and are the end all be all. It needs to be similar blockchain where every call and non call is accounted for, graded, scored and judged. Not sure if that really makes sense, I’m a bottle of casamigos deep right now. I’m just sick of some of that bs calls that swing games, and yes it’s been in our favor before too, but mostly not. Either way it’s not right. And I have the easiest fix. It’s really very, very simple. Ah well F me I’m going to bed.

Yeah Josh plays a lot of Madden. He'd be a good play caller. Not even kidding.

Why does Gus Johnson never do prime time?

Defensive turnovers/endzone celebrations
Bookie Man replied to I'm Spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not against celebrating, but I find it kind of lame. All these dudes running all the way down the field to flex into come camera. Reminds me of when me and my friends were just some 13 year old dorks, flexing in the mirror after gym class or something. 😆 -
Rivera is a moron for not kicking a 20 yard FG to make it 10 points with under 2:00 min to play. Now that was 100% the wrong call.

MJ10 sounds like a sneaker line for teenage boys. JA17 Sounds like an assault rifle. js

Poll: Guess # of drive-extending flags Patsies will get?

WHO THE HELL IS THE CREW?? WHO IS IT?? -
He’s got to stop biting on those double moves

Daboll is a stubborn play caller

Yeah, I miss those Wade Phillips defenses. Those were superbowl caliber D's. Stacked with size and super physical. SD defenses are more about playing smart, fast and disciplined. But yeah, also soft. We need some big boys on the interior DL.
