  1. Does this include all of the preseason games and the pro bowl? If so, I'm on board.
  2. I sort of agree, I sort of disagree. Look at the examples they give on the article. Presnap read that it's man coverage? Presnap read that it's 2DBs vs 3WRs? Presnap read that Gronk is on one-on-one? This isn't rocket science. Also, the throws he is making, while accurate, are 8-10 yards deep. I'm not saying you can replicate this play for play with another QB, but it's a sensible strategy.
  3. I agree. A lot of that comes with the type of offense they're running: lots of short routes, slants, crosses, etc. where WRs/RBs are running routes through traffic.
  4. I've had this bookmarked for a while, and it's still a great read. Really something I wish the Bills would include in their offense: uptempo/quick release/pre-snap reads/only having to read a small portion of the field. So how do they do it? By playing matchups. 2.2 seconds isn’t enough to scan the whole field and decipher the intricacies of the defensive scheme. Much of Brady’s decision-making comes from the pre-snap alignment of the defense. Once he receives the ball, Brady does little more than read the defenders in a small area of the field to be able to get rid of it so swiftly. https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-why-the-patriots-have-the-best-short-pass-game-in-the-nfl-brady-gronkowski-amendola/
  5. everyone needs to stop crying over jeremy maclin. i never thought i'd type that sentence in my life.
  6. So you're saying that if Watkins was blowing it up and playing 16 games a season and piling up yards and TDs that he would still have a lot of people hating him because they couldn't separate the cost from the player? no. he's underperforming and he's often injured. and, because of those things, it feels like a bust because of the cost to get him.
  7. They'll jump all over you less if you use facts and sources, instead of opinions about teams being 'well run' and the Bills being in 'cap hell' for infinity years.
  8. a tenth of a percent of our active military is 1,400. it's more like one thousandth of a percent.
  9. We are truly the Ellis Island of free agents. Give us your tired, your poor, your WRs that are ineligible because of military service, your delinquent locker room disrupters, your starting QB punchers, your team bullies.

  11. i think he meant the roster is in recline.
  12. I voted no, because there wasn't a go away option.
  13. That took, what, 3 days? Not bad. So you think back when we re-signed Tyrod that our master plan was to sign Pittsburgh's QB in the 5th round? And that we would run a covert re-build by placating the fans with a Tyrod signing but in REALITY we would slowly groom our fifth round QB into a starter to ultimately be the face of our franchise? Gotcha.
  14. i was going to ask you what you see in other successful coaches that they say/do before even coaching a game with a team? It's May. I don't expect much from him yet, and I don't need a Rex Ryan-esque loud mouth trying to "win" the offseason. I like that he's lowkey. Players will take him seriously.
  15. My advice to trade him was based off of the news that we're not picking up his option right now. Also, your hypothetical works great if Sammy is healthy. if he's not, none of this matters.
  16. i was told he's just the president of two professional teams and that he oversees executive teams who make the real decisions and that he doesn't have influence over these types of things and that he doesn't get involved in the day to day operations of the teams.
  17. #8. He missed 6 PATs last year and five were blocked. Whose fault is that?
  18. So with no GM or scouting staff, who made this decision?
  19. i know they're rare, but if you can make a 1-for-1 trade happen with an NFC team, I'd take a dynamic S, TE, or LB. i think it's less that fans want to ditch him out of spite, and more that he's never healthy (8 games last year), and he's at a position where it's only maximized by consistent QB play. Maybe if Zay pans out early, it will take pressure off Sammy, but if we have to roll without a solid WR2 for another season, it's kind of a waste. Look at our other WRs on the depth chart. Is anyone striking fear in an opponent? No. They're going to roll a safety over Sammy all day.
  20. i've waiting a whole year for our picks from last year to start, so i can be patient for a QB next year.
  21. Buffalo Bills 2017 "How bad are the Sabres, though? Right!"
