  1. All of this is to create the illusion of a clean start. The blame comes off Whaley. He's not tied to Rex's hiring/firing. He's leading the new coach search. It sends the message that NOW Whaley gets his chnace to pick his guy. Which is bull ****.
  2. if he makes in OT vs MIA, we maybe win. if he makes at the end of the half in SEA, we're driving for a FG at the end not a TD if he makes against BAL we're driving for a FG at the end not a TD not saying any of those are auto Ws, but in seasons where you're a game or two from the playoffs, it all adds up and it all matters.
  3. 0 sacks, 0 INTs, 3PD, 2 QB hits. solid.
  4. sometimes you just need a reminder that what's on the bench is on the bench for a reason.
  5. I'm so disgusted by all of these unemployed football czars walking around, not holding power, not being able to bestow knowledge onto ignorant football owners. just aimlessly wandering through life.
  6. Is it ironic that the most hype you can create for the 2017 season is by firing the guy who typically manufactures that pre-season hype? please fire Russ. Please. Do it for the kids.
  7. man i remember getting !@#$ing lambasted on here for calling him out going to the Cubs game and his son's Clemson games. he wasn't into it. yet, posters were going over the logistics of how long his bus ride was to and from Cleveland. it's beyond the point. he didn't care.
  8. I appreciate you making fresh suggestions with some supporting evidence. It's nice to hear some real options instead of garbage comments blaming the pegulas. If we didn't have them, we wouldn't even have teams to root for. Idiots.
  9. We aren't going to discuss Russ Brandon. Why would we. He's simply the president of the company on the marketing side. What does that have to do with the team. Russ' role is that of securing a thriving season ticket holder contingent, a strong, rapid fan base, a solid game-day experience, and a competitive marketplace. He is in no way a part of the day to day football operations. Do not look behind the curtain. Just a man. Making season-specific slogans to fire up our dedicated diehard fans. In no way a man putting his unqualified finger on the football decision scales. More of a gladhander. A friend of the old bills alum. A guy who guides the vision. Shapes the twitter voice. Not a fly by night getting in the ownerships ear about football matters. More a man approving signage and ribbon cuttings and wall of fame recipients. Just a guy.
  10. http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/11/28/nfl-matt-patricia-bill-belichick-patriots-defense Belichick was the sole interviewer.
  11. whoa, multiple SB WINS!?!??! so you want a Bills QB to achieve a feat that's only been done by 11 QBs in NFL history. you want him to go from no playoffs in 17 years to MULTIPLE SB wins. that's so delusional i can't even address it.
  12. so you're telling that if we get the exact same 2016 production out of our offense/TT, and our D was still 4th JUST LIKE REX INHERITED, we would still be in the same situation at 7-8? no !@#$ing way. you know how you help Tyrod's ability to have to pull off a game winning drive? stop letting up points in the final minutes and make him bail your ass out in the first place.
  13. no. you find a HC who finds a guy like Matt Patricia. the BB tree doesn't work when pruned and re-planted. get a manager and a guy who can find good coaching talent.
  14. i mean, i thought tyrod was great after SEA too. im sorry the D can't stop Jimmy making one-handed TD catches in their kitchen. or him throwing 228 and 2/1 vs Pitt and the D letting Bell run for 236 and 3 TDs. Along with MIA rushing over 200 yards...again. there's three wins. we're 10-5 right now if the D does its job. one day you'll have the blame in the right place. DE-FENSE.
  15. i can't wait to see a rob johnson week 17 vs bad Colts team like game to make the entire discussion worse.
  16. russ brandon. also the coach under-performed two years in a row with the weapons to be a playoff team. also, my own job and life aren't in the public eye and a form of highly publicized expensive paid entertainment.
  17. clean house. don't stop here. russ next.
  18. Seven out of 12 playoff teams have been able to make it there with less production from their offense than we provide our team. and OAK still made the playoffs with a horrible D because they were then forced to get into shootouts and score 30+ points in eight different games. no one else has that identity as a playoff team. and it's definitely NOT sustainable. (they won two games by 1 point and three games by 3 points). give me balance. if our O can put up the same production next year with a top 10 d (which on paper we had), then we're a playoff team. that's indisputable. now, if we bring in a qb who is productive, what is he going to give us? a few more spots up on the PPG? oh now we're fourth not seventh. but our d still blows games for us. that's just as stupid.
  19. our 27th rank run d has a lot to do with this. meanwhile our scoring per game (7th) is higher than 7 playoff teams. and where are the teams that have softer ppg on offense? in the top 10 on points allowed per game on defense. don't blame the QB, though that's pretty much your identity on this site.
  20. This is why a qb is everything for getting into the playoffs.
  21. correction to this, the week 16 chiefs/broncos game outcome doesn't matter.
  22. this weekend is way more important than next weekend for must-wins from other teams. even if week 17 doesn't completely go our way, we still have high percentages if everything happens in week 16.
