  1. Go watch some of the 1998 season. Flutie was straight magic.
  2. The yellow FLAG graphic is going to be burnt into the top right corner of my TV screen this Sunday.
  3. I was definitely not clear enough in the title. I should've said: how long can you wait for TT in protocol before you're forced to name Peterman the starter Week 1. ::slowly backs away, trips on cord, knocks self out on desk::
  4. I just made this and walked away to lunch. While putting it together, i thought, 'i've never made a poll before.' I'm happy to say that's still true. Also, I KNOW TT is the starter, I'm saying at what point does him still being in protocol force McDermott to name another starter. In other words, how long can he wait it out this week? I've disgraced my family and my entire village. I'll try starting fewer threads.
  5. There are nine days until kickoff. What's the absolute drop-dead day that McDermott can name a Week 1 starter at QB before it negatively affects prep for the offense? I've included a poll that holds no bearing on anything.
  6. I read some other thoughts on Jim Brown. This guy should definitely be giving people advice: In 1965, Brown was arrested in his hotel room for assault and battery against an 18-year-old named Brenda Ayres; he was later acquitted on the charges.[34] A year later, he fought paternity allegations that he fathered Brenda Ayres' child. In 1968, Brown was charged with assault with intent to commit murder after model Eva Bohn-Chin was found beneath the balcony of Brown's second-floor apartment.[35] The charges were later dismissed after Bohn-Chin refused to cooperate with the prosecutor's office. Brown was also ordered to pay a $300 fine for striking a deputy sheriff involved in the investigation during the incident. In Brown's autobiography, he stated that that Bohn-Chin was angry and jealous over an affair he had been having with Gloria Steinem and this argument is what led to the "misunderstanding with the police."[36] In 1970, Brown was found not guilty of assault and battery, the charges stemming from a road-rage incident that had occurred in 1969. In 1975, Brown was sentenced to one day in prison and two years probation, and to pay a fine of $500 for beating and choking his golfing partner Frank Snow.[37] In 1985, Brown was charged with raping a 33-year-old woman.[38] The charges were later dismissed.[39] In 1986, Brown was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend Debra Clark. Clark refused to press charges, though, and Brown was released.[40] In 1999, Brown was arrested and charged with making terrorist threats toward his wife. Later that year, he was found guilty of vandalism for smashing his wife's car with a shovel.[41] He was sentenced to three years' probation, one year of domestic violence counseling, and 400 hours of community service or 40 hours on a work crew along with a $1,800 fine.[42] Brown ignored the terms of his sentence, and in 2000 was sentenced to six months in jail for refusing the court-ordered counseling and community service. He was released after 3 months.[43][44][45]
  7. If 50,000 violent Skinheads all somehow bought tickets for a game and were waiting outside the Bills stadium (for accuracy’s sake, I will assume they’re Bills fans) with brass knuckles and barbed 2x4s, and the NFL had no time to switch venues, then maybe you’d get an empty stadium. But even then, I’m skeptical. The Bills tailgate lot basically looks like Mad Max: Fury Road these days, and they still let everyone in.-Deadspin
  8. I didn't realize how conservative Buffalo was until I got out. From the outside looking in, the place is just filled with old, antiquated people and ideas.
  9. Lord knows that ESPN preseason picks are ironclad. http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-releases/2016/09/espn-commentators-share-predictions-2016-nfl-season/
  10. if we can get one of these guys, have him run routes, throw the ball to him, have him catch it and run toward the opposing team's end zone, I'M IN!
  11. You dont play him at. all. Seriously. You don't expose your only QB to a 4th preseason game with your two other QBs in concussion protocol.
  12. I've taken the liberty of drafting some potential 2020 Twobillsdrive.com Thread Topic: Would you trade Rudolph for Mariota straight up? Washington blames 9 dropped balls in two games on playcalling. Jones second ACL tear. Fire the strength and conditioning team! Ballege ate his way out of the NFL. Should we move Harrison to corner? Bills cut Lotuleli, makes sense he was a Beane/McDermont guy. Worley only starter from 2018 draft class
  13. RIP to anyone who had an early fantasy draft.
  14. Yes, at the very least I feel like a level-headed adult is making decisions. That's pretty much the state of our team.
  15. the pats know our crowd's weakness for alcohol, which is why in 2016 they chose to return the second half kick to our 20 and punch a TD in on the next play before anyone could get to their seats. that belichick is a genius.
  16. i live a block from the Panthers stadium, this mfer has the most audacious statue you've ever seen. Him holding a football out in a suit with two panthers by his side. you have to experience in person to get the full effect. also, the football is within grabbing distance, if this statue was in Buffalo, a drunk fan would've already tried to hang on it, ripping Jerry's arm off. I'm surprised it's still intact. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article90304932.html
  17. Yeah, I'd like Peterman to sit out the entire 4th game. I know that might mean Wenning playing an entire game, but could you imagine losing all three of your QBs in the preseason?
  18. Yeah, it's smart to not name the starter this early, but also don't expose your only starting QB. He's going to play both sides until he can get a clearer picture early next week.
  19. 90% of Sullivan's articles are him digging up old predictions to tell you he was right. You'll rarely see him re-hash all of the hot garbage he says that never comes to fruition. Who wants to read 'i told you so' pieces? Thank you for copying his quotes. I wouldn't give him a click.
  20. thanks, 26! i'm curious to see if Tyrod gets out of protocol mid next week if they try to force him back in.
  21. Call me when we start making moves that look like they're actively trying to make the team better.
  22. No we wouldn't. We'd have the same outlook with no qb and tons of missing pieces, just living on a prayer.
