  1. Teams are successful with older players. This isn't some foreign concept. Brady is &&@!? 40. These are excuses. Coaches wanting to bail on players that "aren't their guys" is a way to buy yourself more years.
  2. The plan is going to be drafting for need for the players you just traded and getting those needs up to speed just in time to dump more players who are underperforming or costly or injured. Then drafting to fill more needs. It's a cycle here. We're now down to maybe 1 wr and aging rb, qb and aging d line and no cbs. You gonna draft all those next year? Year one starters? This is a four year experiment that we have to gamble on with a new staff. When it falls apart we will be right where we are now. The blowup is the start of the fail.
  3. The ones who want to blow everything up don't have a plan. The tear down in the plan. They just hope they're gifted a solution. You're no different. As if draft picks next year will save us. Or even two years of drafts. Especially considering how much of a crapshoot the draft is. I'm annoyed by your ignorance, but you're reveling in being the contrarian today. I'll be sure to find you in a couple years here so you can backpedal and soften your stance.
  4. Losers: fans who bought Watkins jerseys and season tickets.
  5. You're loving this. I'm sure your glee is severely misplaced. Trading away a season in the hopes of maybe getting a qb next year if we're the worst of the worst, which we won't be. So what do we get with our 8th and 16th overall? A trade down to 2 for a WR or a LT or a LB? Still a huge question mark at qb. Or do we take another chance on another project qb only to realize that he's not a fit, so everyone can look back on this trade in two years and say it was a mistake? What a reason to rejoice.
  6. And when the jets get the first overall next year, this will look even stupider.
  7. Can we post 'marginally legal site links? i'm watching now online.
  8. You're right, there was a huge talent drop. Look at these QBs in '99: http://www.footballdb.com/stats/stats.html?lg=NFL&yr=1999&type=reg&mode=P&conf=&limit=50 But, if you expect that class of QB that came out in those following years, you're crazy: http://www.footballdb.com/stats/stats.html?lg=NFL&yr=1999&type=reg&mode=P&conf=&limit=50
  9. i was just having a discussion yesterday about how the NFL talent is in a huge lull right now. once this generation of QBs go away (brady/brees/rodgers/rivers/ben/flacco/manning), who is left? who's picking up the torch?
  10. i would challenge TT to throw MORE INTs this year, as crazy as it sounds. he needs to trust that his guy is going to be there/can get to the ball first. 6 INTs two years in a row doesn't mean anything if you're not breaking .500
  11. This is exactly where I want Peterman: third QB, learning, not a lot of pressure to perform, figuring out what it means to be a starting QB.
  12. it doesn't matter who their QB is, you could get the punter in there to hand off to Ajayi 42 times.
  13. i truly believe he's waiting for a contender to lose a WR to injury in camp.
  14. he's just wearing the blazer to do on-camera stuff and the shorts because it's hot. i don't think it's a fashion statement.
  15. 55 yards in the air. hmmm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EqEUD3jJLE
  16. Those two things are complete opposites. How do i see TT developing more skills in the basic fundamentals of being a franchise QB AND watch him lose 12 games? If that's the case, then the defense would have to be simply atrocious, which they're not. You're either going to see a digression or a breakthrough from TT, and that will dictate our record.
  17. i went back and read some of astro's notes from last camp as a way to keep from living and dying by each practice re-cap. it's a lot of good pre-season fun to whet the football appetite, but it doesn't really mean much for how the season plays out.
  18. i got this year marked as the beginning of the end for Big Ben.
  19. no, i'm not accounting for injury, just digression. that's why it's a bollllddddddddddddddd one. ::bullwhip snap sound effect::
  20. my BOLDDDD prediction: Watkins in WR2 by the end of the season.
  21. That would end the NFL as owners would make no profit. So, you're on the side of management?
  22. the past four years we've been the sexy, sleeper pick. how's that gone? i'd rather there not be hype around the team.
  23. die in a fire slideshow listicle format.
