Just combing through these and started to realize that there aren't a ton of players left from the 2014-2016 drafts. By my count 9/20 guys, and maybe four are starting. That worries me when we think we can build from the draft.

We may not see it until we look back after 5-10 years, but the NFL is in a huge talent lull right now. 3 wins? Who are you afraid of? The Bengals? The Saints? The Chargers? The Colts? The Dolphins? The Jets? The Bucs? These are baby soft teams to go along with our baby soft team. There are way more than 3 wins on our schedule, for better or worse.

You realize we have pretty much the same team as last year, we've gone back to a sane defensive scheme, Darby got BURNED in 2016 and Sammy played 8 games. this is a 6-win team at least, 10 at most. And i don't think there needs to be a distinction between being competitive and rebuilding. even if you're missing a few pieces, you still should be able to compete. we will get our picks next year and add some key positions, but this year's not out the door. mediocre teams make the playoffs all the time.
