  1. You guys are getting me to a point to start watching the Office. I’m probably the last guy on the planet to see it. My eldest son has it as his favorite show.
  2. So Von who played in 11 games didn’t help with his 8 sacks, and Hyde only 2 so correct, and tre who played 6+playoffs helped not at all. Really? The problem Biscuit is you like to pick fights. Take care as I won’t respond. Have a good day partner.
  3. Well, my Dad served during Korea as well as two uncles, and my Dad is still kicking at 93. I’m thankful everyday for him and his sometimes cantankerous self. I’m happy for those who made through their service and finished their #1 job, they came home alive.
  4. McD did better than Frazier would’ve done as DC, as those losses were significant and the defense kept us somewhat in games. They’ve just been on the field way too long that any defense would get worn out. As far as OC, I mentioned to Joe on the extra point show yesterday, I wouldn’t wait for the end of the year. I d place Brady as interim and we can decide whether he remains into next year. In Carolina, he resisted the push to run more and kept them in games through the pass. Isn’t that what we e wanted. Either Brady turns this anemic offense around and keeps his job, or we have the off season to find the best OC we can afford, and Terry needs to open up the wallet.
  5. Die Hard 2. Good call.
  6. You beat me to it BB. I just saw the highlight and thought of my wrestling days. The defense is doing the best they can even with three devastating losses in Tre, Milano, and Jones. Douglas and Joseph may replenish. to some degree, but the original three are not easily replaced. As Mister Defense pointed out, the offense has been anemic and gets three and out way too often. It stresses the defense being on the field for so long. In the Bengals game, our defense was on the field in the first half for 21 minutes. I’ve been resistant to jump on the fire Dorsey rhetoric, but I’m coming around to it.
  7. I would respect the Pegulas now that Araiza has been completely vindicated if the reports are true, to give him an opportunity. I don’t know if he has the directional ability to pin the ball close to the end zone based on where we are on the field. He definitely has the leg to boom it.
  8. So definitely bring him in. 🤣🏋️‍♂️🦬🏈
  9. PTR, we’ll know more when the All 22 comes out tomorrow. There’s a couple of guys who do a write up so I’d say hold tight. I was going to do the same, but I’m just too busy during the work week.
  10. Simon, I’m kidding. C’mon man. The he double hockey stick always gets changed etc. I really just am joking with you. You know me by now. I’m not the guy that picks fights. When someone personally attacks me I just ignore and never reply. It’s not productive and not why I’m here enjoying you’re site.
  11. You missed one. The Ryan Fitzpatrick win where Brady had 4 picks and was throwing tantrums on the sidelines. After the game as expected, Brady stated they lost vs. we won and their mistakes. He was so engulfed in how superior they were in every facet. Thats why so many of us in our 50’’s who vividly remember the good times with Kelly. My dad who's still kicking at 93 vividly remembers the Rockpile and fondly remembers the Kemp 60’s championship teams. That was before my time. I couldn’t hate Brady while in Tampa as my sons and friends are all Bucs fans. He did make the team competitive, and to the politics side, he brought Tampa their second championship, made the most out of the talented players on the team, and proved it was Brady, not Belicheck who brought in those 6 rings and 8 appearances.
  12. Since the game is at 8;20, dinner is long over for me so a healthy dessert of Woodford Reserve is on the menu. A short wide glass, turned upside down has raw sugar cane on it like salt for a margarita, turned back, ice, three lime wedges. Straight so no soda or anything. Why ruin perfection. You guys should try one after dinner out as they are delicious. Hopefully celebrating victory, not drowning in misery. I’m always hopeful. This is the next big challenge post Fins.
  13. Noggin, as always, right on the $ with Sweat. His secondary evaluations are impressive and good for him in a solid contract. If a team wants to pay that much for a pass rusher, then it’s their money. That’s the point of capitalism. If they made a mistake, they’ll pay for their choices down to road. The real opportunity for the Bears is to find a solid President of football operations, GM, then HC. Follow the McBeane playbook. Purge guys like Brandon and Wrex, and replace with the right people. Purge bad contracts, build with sound draft decisions, and buy intelligently role players. What did McBeane do by 2019, they had been drafting well, got rid of Darius, and Sammy, and they bought an O Line. People can complain about the line, but it was better than in 18. Until the Halas family starts making good decisions, they will continue to flounder even with Ngakoue, Sweat, Edmunds, and so on. They need to find their Josh Allen. My advice, is have mgmt make every attempt to tank, get Caleb, and buy an O Line. From there they can build a team and with the Packers finally rudderless with a QB thank god for the last 30 years they’ve run the NFCN. Detroit is the new hot team in the north and they have built a team in the right way. People laughed at Campbell until they finally came around to accepting he knew what he was doing.
  14. It is part of the game, the worst part, but it’s a necessary evil. Just hope for the best each play.
  15. Ridge, you really better never change. Wasn’t that the guy from that old Humphrey Bogart movie. Casablanca. Don’t forget the obligatory “hey, this 38 yr old washed up player was released, should we bring him in for a look? Maybe Von can talk to him, yadayada”
  16. And you’re like a blood hound sniffing out those trolls disguised as Bills fans. Never change DJB. You have fans and you’re a wisears. Reminds of someone else I know.
  17. Simon, I like and agree with your entire comment on the beginning of this thread, but don’t you scold us for cursing at times. Sauce for the goose… I do appreciate the thread although Douglas had actually a slow beginning to his career. It was the last two years where’d he reinvented himself. My hope is Elam can do the same by year 3. He has the natural abilities. He just has to put it together.
  18. Classic Chans. I expect no less from you. Lamentation of the women is of particular interest. As far as the existential question, it’s pretty simple, I enjoy hearing balanced measured opinions on various Bills and/or NFL topics as can learn or at least open to hearing differing points of view. Some not all have a good understanding of football and strategy. I neither Pollyanna nor a cynic of the team, coaching and Mgmt. Like many good teams, they do some things quite well, and others could be better. Recently, I’m very curious as to how the three additions this week could positively or possibly negatively impact Sunday nights game. Lastly, my friends and family know how nuts I am for the Bills and need a place to get away from the career and other necessities in life. 72, thanks for starting the thread. It’s a sound question.
  19. Thanks for reminding us. Ahh the drought. A littany of bad draft after bad draft.
  20. I didn’t know I gained that many fans. You’re too funny donuts. As far as Toledo, yeahPoona hasn’t been used correctly. He sa 3 technique guy who is meant for a 4-3, but he’s the third guy behind Oliver and Phillips for good reasons. He shined in Seattle in Oliver’s role, but both of the other guys are better. Phillips is always an injury risk so it wasn’t costly to have him. Just because he’s thick, he’s never been a space eater. He floundered in a 3-4. Joseph so the real deal. Maybe we get lucky and he scoops up a fumble. Memories of Berman. HE COULD GO ALLLL THE WAYYY, RUMBLIN, STUMBLING, BUMBLIN LINVELL JOSEPH!!!
  21. He is tailor made for us. We needed a true 1 technique, not as good as Daquan, as Jones doesn’t just clog the interior, he penetrates. Joseph will at least clog up the middle for Oliver and Phillips to hunt. Interior pressure is key to McD’ s defense. That and the defensive backs. Well, we just replenished badly needed bodies in these areas. In time with snaps Williams will grow at the Wil and Bernard has shown already his progress since year 1.
  22. Turk, thanks as always for your reviews. This was a good thread.
  23. Mark Davis is close if not the poorest owner in the NFL. It’s amazing the incredibly moronic decisions. He’s taking on senile dads choices, not when Al was young and brought his 70’s teams to the SB. There was one rumor about Jim Harbaugh. That actually would be a pretty good idea. He may be ego maniacal, but he’s a winner, and creates a winning culture.
  24. If any of you have played sports at a highly competitive level or coached, you look forward to challenges. There’s no doubt with the improvements in the Bengals this is a challenge. We also have a great opportunity to show who we are as a team. I welcome it. If we’re not for it, then we didn’t deserve it anyway. Beat the blast ages on their home ground and shut up everyone. As Drago said, we lose, we lose. Courage and fear. Two sides of a hand. One is never on the same side.
