Revisting 2019 Draft - D.K. Metcalf?
machine gun kelly replied to Houston's #1 Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the same argument about missing on Rodgers, Wilson, Watson, Gronk vs. Troup, Mahomes, amd so on and so on. It’s a pointless discussion. I sometimes wonder what’s a person’s agenda when they start these threads, and yes for the record, I love what I saw out of Metcalf last year. It’s not fantasy football though and a GM has so many variable to consider when picking players where and using whatever capital. -
AC/DC on GMFB = Super Bowl halftime?
machine gun kelly replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I loved listening to Ac Dak growing up, but can we get a halftime band under the age of 148. These guys are a commercial for preparation H at this point. At least we won’t have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction other than the eyesore they always wear. I do agree Metallica is played so much at games, why not give them a shot? I’m sure at their age now, they won’t do anything boneheaded like Janet. -
Week 6: Chiefs at Bills (+5): Monday 5pm on Fox
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Riot, they can’t do that as they have to confirm multiple times each player negative as they could be carriers and infect the Bills players. I know it sucks. -
Week 6: Chiefs at Bills (+5): Monday 5pm on Fox
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL isn’t finished with their investigation, but I’m sure they will be punished in some way as the league does not want an organization knowingly breaking the rules. They are trying their best to keep a handle on this to the best of their ability. The protocols are reasonable to try and minimize problems. As far as scheduling, I question if they needed to have the game on Tuesday to protect the players, especially the Bills players (Bob Papa made that point on NFLR yesterday although both he and the tool, Coach Weiss said the Bills are somewhat shafted as it’s not their fault the Titans broke the rules), but they should play the Chiefs on Monday Night. I can only imagine they are holding back that Monday slot for another unexpected outbreak from another team. I agree with you guys they should have placed the Bills on MNF next week. As far as a prime time slot this week, they are getting that as the Tuesday will be a nationally televised showing. The networks want as much in the ratings as possible given their prime time shows are still not airing yet. Shows like Blue Bloods, SWAT, etc. -
As long as we’re kidding around, they should be forced to play in hazmat suits. Like they were handling nuclear fissionable material.

Bills-Titans score predictions
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills 31 Titans 24 This is almost impossible to predict so I threw spaghetti on the wall. I don’t know who is out on Tuesday and that’s if they have all negative tests today for a second day. They have a solid running game and a good defense, but we should be able hold Tanehill to not very much in the air, that is if Tre is playing. -
NFL Launches LGBTQ History Month PSA

That’s a big so what. Who cares. This group is about diversity, and I don’t really care, but then I don’t care about anyone’s personal stuff as long they are not doing something to hurt themselves or someone else.- 87 replies

Any Big Tree Inn people on here?
machine gun kelly replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unstable. What do you think? It’s Buffalo. Funny when I move to FL, it was early 90’s, and someone asked me would I like some Buffalo Wings. I replied, what, you guys have wings from Buffaloes. She was a young kid and said no, the famous wings from Buffalo. I replied, honey I just moved here from Buffalo, we just call them wings there. Appreciate the recognition, but they are just wings, and there is only hot and suicide where I’m from. She said, I guess you are from Buffalo. You know my answer. Same as now. Go Bills. Other fans just don’t get us. It’s in our blood. Wings, Mighty Taco, and being a southtowns guy in the snow, Blasdell Pizza! -

Pride, I love you’re pic. I was the third guy on the goal post when we beat the Jets in 88 to get the AFCE. It was a blast for all of 7 seconds until somebody tried to climb up me and I flew to the ground. Good times. Not sure if that pic was that day as it happened a couple of times. It was great seeing big old Freddy Smerlas if you remember that game use his huge mitt to break up that field goal attempt to win the game. I was early in college and my buddies and I came from Oswego and let’s just say I was a little dizzy the whole weekend. -

I’m so sorry. Danny was friends with my brother. When I came home from FL, after college he would make me stop there on the way to our cousins out in East Aurora. I’ve been there 100’s of times and love the culture. The real MGK invited my sister and I for wings there once after we went to a signing at Wegmans. She was a VP so when we got off the plane she put us at the top of the line for a signature. I didn’t care about that, but was nice to get my boys a pic with Kelly tough. We didn’t do the wings thing as we had a huge family party for us, but the offer was nice. He was very gracious. The Big Tree is part of our family as I grew up a few miles from there and it was a great culture. Yes, it was a pub, but it was a place you could even bring you’re family and they wouldn’t allow bad language back then. -
E-Man, couldn’t agree more. It is a lot of let’s play madden and keep thinking we know more than the pros. A 6th WR who is one 9f the best returners in football is a no brainer. It’s not like he is a starting WR. We have 4 that handle that job really well in Diggs, Brown, Beasley, and Davis. We have a gadget guy that proved last week in McKenzie who also in a pinch can play CB like he did last year Who is valuable.
-
It wasn’t just Thurmon, Kelly and Reed. They had Lofton (HOF) and Beebe who won a SB in Green Bay, and an excellent RB to compliment Thurmon in Kenny Davis as well as Jamie Meuller as a solid FB. We have Diggs, Brown, Beasley, but also Davis emerging, and I have faith Moss will compliment Motor soon enough. It’s only been four games. There is never going to be another Bruce, but we have a lot of talent on that defense. Tre is better than any CB we had back in those days. Defenses are winning a lot more from the back forward and forward to back like in the 90’s. The rules have changed, and the way the game has schemed has changed. We’re going to be fine and as much as I loved Marv and Polian, we have something special in McD, Beane, and yes, Daboll. The future’s so bright, we’ll need to get the shades out. Whenever we play the Titans, if we play the Titans will be fun. Our top flight secondary will shut down Tannehill’s passing offense, amd it will be the Henry show, but our D will keep everything in front of them. I can see Henry running for 130 yards, but Tannehill only getting maybe 145 yards in the air, and our offenses will be shock and awe against their defense.

Exactly Putin. There are players who when interviewed said it’s foolish to think defensive who have no preseason, limited practices in pads, ie. little to any talking and hitting, and we are wondering why defenses across the NFL are having to catch up after four games. I choose to think the second half of the Vegas Raiders game, they started to get their lineups right in the center of the line. Edmunds is playing out of position, limited even more because of the injury, he just needs to get in a rhythm. No one is being harder on himself than him and my god he’s only 22. The good news is Norman looks more like the Carolina Norman, than the last year of the Redskins, sorry Washington Football Team (don’t get me started as I’m fine with dropping the Redskins logo, but Football Team is stupid), and Milano before reinjuring himself, was looking good out there. He was flying to the ball, and the Milano a bunch of us loved last year. I am not worried McD can’t get this figured out, and mark the tape defenses across the league are going to tighten up and offenses are going to come back to earth. The Bills offense is for real, but they will face tough contests with teams like the 49ers. I don’t see us avg. by the end of the year 31 pts./game. I am hopeful we can maintain say 27 pts a game, but I also expect this defense getting better with each week.

That McKenzie Sweep on 4th and 1
machine gun kelly replied to jimmy10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jimmy, I was at the gym the other day and yes, Seinfeld was on one of the TVs while I was doing cardio. It was the Jimmy episode and thought of you where Cosmo had those dumb shoes, and Jimmy kept taking about himself in the third person. Thought if you bud. “Jimmy likes the McKenzie end around. Jimmy is very happy.” MGK says have a good night Jimmy. -
Hondo, you’re a tough crowd. I never said I want them to win the East, but if those guys get a WC spot, that’s fine with me. I went to college with mostly downstaters, and crazy enough married one. She is a true blue Bills fan though. I just like the guy is straight up, not passive aggressive, and others know if you’re honest, say you’re piece, we are going to be respectful. I don’t mind dissenting opinions as long as they are straight. Now don’t go all Sapuku on me Hondo. Good to hear from you bud. Glad Greenie received a little love on the board. That’s how it is supposed to be. I don’t go to other boards as a waste of my time, but if others want to come here, welcome guys. I know we occasionally get Steelers, Browns and other fans and I guess if that works for them, great.

We felt the same way about Wrex, Skeletor, and all the other coaches after Wade. All of our GM’s and Coaches sucked for two decades.
-
I’d agree. I know you mentioned setting him up with talent, but it might be just time to cut you’re losses p, maybe he can learn under a different team (I’ve said already just go to a team with one of the older QB’s and take a step back for a year), and get Lawrence. I don’t have issues with Miami as it looks like they brought in a lot of good talent, have tons of picks still, a solid coach, and just let them build over time. Tua and Allen could be the next Kelly/Marino. If Lawrence works out for you, and as I stated hire the right coaching staff, and take you’re time, our whole division gets tougher. Besides, we all hate the Pats and Can hopefully as a group flame them for the next decade. Nothing would make me happier than seeing the Cheats go 0-6 for a decade. Anyway, be straight up and we’re cool for me bud. Cool avatar btw.

Greenie, that’s a very honest and forthright post. No issues bud and hope you’re team can improve. I’m not crazy about people that act like they are Bills fans, but are not. If someone is sincere, and says, hey I’m a Jets fan, but like you’re board, welcome. That attitude is fair and I’ve said for awhile I feel for Darnold. I just don’t see him being able to rehab from that dysfunction. Woody amd company need to rethink how they build a team. The Pegulas has their mulligan with you’re old coach, Wrex. They were new owners, naive and thought that was a quick fix. They did figure it out and then fired Brandon, hired our current administration and coaching and stayed the hell out of the way. The Johnson brothers need to hire the right coach that Douglas approves and is instrumental, and then let them do their job and stop meddling. All any owner needs to do is look at the Rooney’s, Maras, Hunt family. Take a note. I know the Giants are Ames’s, but historically have been a good ownership group with the Tish family. FWIW, I’d be asking if the Johnsons if Douglas can work with Bieniemy from KC. He seems to be an up and comer, amd just let them build a team the right way, give them a five year rope, and understand there will be contract purging and just taking a step back for two forward is the right thing. Anyway, welcome and hope you are just honest, a true and true Jets fan as that is fine with most of us, and come here with no agenda. I’d have no argument there. Ask Icebowl. He loves his Packers, but also likes us, and is always welcome.

Should the Bills play the Broncos?
machine gun kelly replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why not just play the Titans and who cares about the pats. I don’t know if the Pats did anything wrong although I wouldn’t put it past them, but over 20 now for the Titans tells me something went wrong even if innocent by nature. I’m guessing of the league can pin something on the Titans, they will. There is way too much $ on the line, and they are probably looking hard if they did something stupid like the Raiders players. They are lucky they didn’t have a much larger outbreak. -
Haskins benched in Washington
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Donuts, the only thing I can think is the unproven reports Alex still has a drag in his ankle or foot might be real with that level of nerve damage. I wanted to see him play all along given he was medically cleared, but maybe it’s worse than we thought. Bones usually heal stronger, but maybe that nerve damage he can only come back so much. What’s between his ears and arm is. More than enough to put him back as the starter. Allen is a nice backup and Rivera trusts him as he developed him in Carolina, but Alex has learned so many systems with what 114 offensive coordinators in his career (Exaggerating for a point he can pick up about anything), he would be the best shot at winning if really healthy. Those doctors have their licenses on the line, so he must be good enough to practice. I’d love to see him out there. That would be awesome. I always liked that guys decision making and fortitude. -
Titans player test positive today 10/7
machine gun kelly replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cole, I’m not against that at all, I just know with the NFL relying more and more on tv revenue, they don’t want to cancel time slots, if anything, want to find anyway possible to keep the same or more. I honestly thought if the ncaa was holding their ground which they didn’t and almost no college ball on Saturdays, that was the Hail Mary the NFL needed to offset the in game $ with an additional revenue stream. That’s not happening and as all of you know it’s about $. The NFL is going to do whatever they can to maintain their contracts with the networks, even if it means postponing, reorganizing, adding bye’s, whatever. The networks want it as their big shows aren’t even airing yet and it’s October so the ratings are even more important for their NFL brand. I can see this season getting extended. They are going to keep maneuvering games however they can to keep the ship going and when push comes to shove, they’ll insert more byes or stagger and even cut a game or two. -
Titans player test positive today 10/7
machine gun kelly replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hapless, you are the authority on this one, but I think this player has to be negative a couple of times along with anyone contact traced near him, and then they could play on Monday. That means the Chiefs game would most likely be moved to Sunday and probably swapped with a game that would have been on Unday moved up. For ratings I’m sure they would want the Bucs, Packs, or the Browns Steelers moved up if they can even do that. This is the new normal and expect a ton of movement the rest of the season. They are going to do everything possible to keep the season going, amd are going be a juggling act all season. It’s just not worth being upset as it is going to be the 2020 normal.
