Can we update the schedule?
machine gun kelly replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That doesn’t normally happen. The mods do enough. All of us can simply google records, schedule, etc. I don’t expect them to do this and usually comes up from someone every year. Also, in the off season, once the schedule comes out, someone always asks the mods to put it on the board. The thing is these guys basically volunteer their time for years, and they have lives, jobs, families, so I don’t expect them to do this regularly. You’re request is not a bad one so I’m not criticizing the request. I just appreciate all of the positives they perform on this board, and a lot of stuff they have to put up with from a certain group of people. No worries Quinn. Have. Good night, and enjoy the game tonight. -
Most power rankings have us most of the season at 4th-6th. Honestly, the only metric that matters to me is wins/losses. Next Monday night we’ll be 9-3. I can easily see 12-4 this year. I’ve contended we will finish 11-5 this year, but starting to hope this will be a 12-4 year. As the football gods always say, you’re ranking is 0-0 once you make it to the dance. The Ravens have proven this point these last couple of years. Who cares what the Athletic author thinks?

AJ Klein named AFC Defensive Player of the Week
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Happy they found a way to get him used to his strengths. Now that Milano is practicing, they may be able to use Milano in a pitch count to ease him back this Monday so we can try more base defense against Pittsburgh. A good problem to have, but I wouldn’t expect sweeping changes as the abills strategy has been all along to have a nickel defense. -
There is no comparison. The Eagle are an aging team, with serious cap issues. Wentz unfortunately, has tried too hard to save the franchise, but has been beaten up along the way. We have a franchise QB, and a team built over four years for long term success. I’m not up for another we suck thread, as is dumb. Maybe after the year, we can shape the conversation on the team and what needs to be done. for now, I’m in.

Milano and Dodson designated to return from IR
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well it wouldn’t be a Thursday if I didn’t say, STOP YELLING AT ME! Merry early Christmas buddy. Now let’s kick the 9ers butts Monday. I can definitely see 9-3. -

Donuts, you’re whacky! You son of a gun. It’s like the girl in high school you don’t know if they are up for the dance Saturday until Friday. Not that Mercy, Frontier, or Immaculata girl did that to me. Can you tell I’m southtowns. At least I’m not a scourge like Timon guys. Just kidding, I know you already know you’re not as good as Frannies guys. 👍😏 -
Daboll doesn't get enough credit for his trick plays.
machine gun kelly replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You mean the Kyle Williams, for a 1 yard touchdown, if you took 3 seconds to google it in 2918. That one? Google works if you weren’t trying to be a butthead. You see every real Bills fan knows it. Would you like me to copy so you look like a moron? C’mon, don’t be dumb. Every Bills fan knows this play. You know, real Bills fans. -
Top Drafting Teams in the NFL
machine gun kelly replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Victory, that’s an easy mistake so no worries bud. For a point of reference, it was a trade with Hotlanta where he wasn’t really doing anything. The above posts have nailed it. Steelers, Packers, Ravens, Chiefs, and I would add the Hawks. My reasoning on the Hawks, they have drafted pretty well with LBers, obviously Russel Wilson, and Metcalf. I just like how Carrol is not afraid to take chances. To the OP, you seem to be sincere not trying to turn this into a Beane bashing thread, and I appreciate it. I like what Beane has done these last few years, and reminds me of Polian. Not comparing the two, but Polian used to say on Late Hits on his weekly spot he tracked his drafts from the beginning. It was a somewhat vague response, but this HOF GM building three different teams stated his hit rate on drafting players was 57%. I respect that guy, and what he did for the Bills, Panthers, and Colts was amazing. So I guess my point is not scoring on every pick is not necessarily a bad thing as long as you hit more than miss. The one thing bad teams do is trying to be good too fast by buying expensive free agents and they don’t fit into a scheme approach. A good example is it isn’t a drafting one, but what has OBJ done for Cleveland? Not a lot because they didn’t have an overarching strategy. The teams above seem to draft the best players, and know what they want their team to look like. They have an approach and vision. It’s not by accident, the Chiefs, Ravens, Steelers, Packers, and I would add us these last three years have fielded competitive teams. -
Daboll doesn't get enough credit for his trick plays.

Agreed, Daboll has made a name for himself across NFL writers for not just trick plays, up his style of play calling. Personally, I like the trickery plays. Wasn’t it cool when Kyle caught that TD pas before he retired. That was classy how McD and Daboll called that for Kyle. I probably like it because it seems to work most of the time. I don’t if you could call some of the end around McKenzie as trick plays, but I love when they work. I know it didn’t work for the Chargers game, but it has worked for quite often these past couple of years. I was really happy we retained him this year. Makes me wonder if we go to 7 next year adding Hodgins into the active roster vs. practice squad. It could be fun having two big bodies out there. We don’t seem to use our TE’s well for a variety of reasons so going down to 3 and adding a FB could be good. I still think one of the running problems we’ve had is not just the O Line, but losing DiMarco as a lead blocker. He may have been more valuable than earlier thought. Kind of like we including me underestimating Star. -
Week 13: Bills at 49ers on MNF (in Arizona)
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well Sal pointed out the Bills defense for all the rantings have taken away the number one weapon of the opposing team. DK Metcalf, Derrick Henry, etc. Even though we sacrificed the run against KC, we still keep Mahomes completely in check. So I expect they will try and stop the run so once one dimensional, Mullins will be pressured and make mistakes against White, Poyer, and Hyde. I’d love to see a few Safety blitzes with Poyer. He is so good when they make that call. The game won’t be easy, but I do expect next Tuesday we’ll be 9-3. It. Just might be tighter than some think. -
Eagles HC Pederson on the hot seat with job status
machine gun kelly replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zero, with those teams, I would add the Jets and Philly if the coach is fired. The Jets owners would need to give a lengthy contract to anyone of substance as. They are in a long term rebuild, and Philly is so far over the cap, and Wentz has regressed with an aging team. It’s why I just don’t see a high end talent who is able to take his pick, would to you’re point Zero, want Houston, or LA. A head coach is so far ahead when they have a solid QB,and cap space especially next year with. The cap almost assured dropping to $175 mil. -
Living here, I don’t know what to believe. When interviewed Arians emphatically states Brady is choosing his plays he likes and they call them in the game. That is diametrically opposed to Arians historically liking a QB who throws downfield, whereas Brady has made a name for himself throwing short, and accurate passes. Until lately, I thought. Brady was doing fine, just getting in sync with his receivers which was expected in the beginning of the season. He’s just so inaccurate downfield, yet they keep trying it. I love the Bills, and like the Bucs, but for someone who wanted this to work for the Bucs, it just doesn’t look like it’s working. They needed that Rams game.

Tight End stat sheet as of Dec. 1
machine gun kelly replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fwiw, go to google, best TE’s for the 2021 draft. They detail how this draft in 2021 is projected to be better than 2020, and 2019. There are some excellent players there, and I know we could use several other positions, but if we had a generational TE, It would be worth it as a high pick. -
Thank you Ridge Yoda. I know the factors regarding the decision to keep postponing as the Ravens kept getting newer cases, but it still sucks the 49ers followed all their strict protocols, and were punished for it basically throwing a game by putting a practice squad WR as a QB. I know the league’s position is they won’t postpone for competitive, but sure could be construed as just that. At least we’ve not to deal with that yet. TE’s didn’t matter. We barely use ours anyway which is why we survived that one.

Bills FO likely to get poached for GM candidates
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone else in another thread mentioned they wouldn’t be surprised if they Cheats move on from Cam, they could pick up Jimmy G. If cut from SF. It’s conceivable SF could bundle their first and second to move up and get a decent QB in the draft. -

Great sign if the Bills FO staff is sought after by other teams. It’s a sign, we have great top end people like Beane and McD and they hire and develop well. -

Pat and Mills broke down his contract and they can get out of Jimmy G. For not a big dead cap hit next year. Not speculating they should, just they can if that is the direction they want. -
Wrotto, Mr. Roboto. Ive already detailed this once, but maybe you didn’t read it. Milano 2017. Games available, 16, started 5. He was a rookie and they didn’t know what they had. Not injuries. 2018. Games available, 13, started 13. 2019. Games available 15, started 15 2020. Games available, 5, started 3. He is not a huge injury issue. He has been injured a bit this year, but again how many begged for us to get JJ Watt, yet he’s been out more than available. How about Gronk? How about .... You can name a ton of players who have missed a ton more games percentage wise than Milano.

The Art of Defending the Hail Mary
machine gun kelly replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As long as we are contributing to asinine threads, let’s just sign Manute Bol (7’7”). He can stand there and get completely ducked out by Hopkins, or insert whatever top WR you want. I get people upset about the Cardinals loss, but we had three of the top DB’s in the league all around Hopkins in White, Hyde, and Poyer. If you want to make the argument to not have the fourth be the new guy, and put maybe Diggs in there as he is one of the best at contested catches, I get that as him knocking it down would be nothing. Davis, a rookie I doubt would have a better outcome. They had to defend as has been talked to death two plays. Murray could have thrown 15 yards out and then had a safe pass on the second attempt with four seconds left. The defensive coaching staff made the right call. We had the, beat and the high hands won on a fluke play. That’s it. If any of you have played sports at a high level, the best team doesn’t always win. Look at the Raiders, a far superior team to the Falcons. They had their butts handed to them, but I would still take the Raiders 9 times out of 10. -
Week 13: Bills at 49ers on MNF (in Arizona)
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is great for us. Inside, perfect weather, easy to pass, and facing a running team without their QB, and the best TE in the league up there with Kelce. Couldn’t be any better for us. Go Bills! Also great fir Bass on any kicks.
