  1. I had foggy memories of OJ and Fergy in the late 70’s, but one of my distinct memories was beating the Fins for the opener in 1980 at Rich 17-7. It was so awesome as we were beaten 20 times in the 70’s by the Fish. That was a great year. Knox just exuded confidence and we would be a winner. He’s definitely the forgotten winning coach for the Bills. The old timers liked Saban, the middle aged guys was Levy, and the youngins McD, but Knox was the guy that turned our team around. Had Ralph not had the ego problem as Knox was a stubborn guy, it could’ve worked out better.
  2. I still contend both these QB’s aren’t going anywhere. Wilson complained about protection. Seattle just needs to use draft capital on linemen. Watson is dug in, but if Houston waits him out past the draft, they send a message to Watson you’re going to have to holdout and lose millions. His new GM and HC will keep working on Watson softening him up.
  3. Well, on the Roberts side, on avg. we were 1st in kick returns and 4th in punt returns. On McKenzies side, he just adds so much not only in returning, but in the offense in gadget plays, backup WR, and even without practicing (I guess) filled in as a CB. My vote is McKenzie. If you go by veteran minimums, you save around $240k by signing McKenzie over Roberts, but it’s really the impact McKenzie can have on offense in addition to returns I’m leaning that way. In a normal cap year, keep both. This year, no.
  4. GB, do you really think we can get an upgrade as a pass rusher at 30, or do you think we look for a trade partner to bundle picks to get much higher?
  5. Or ever. He is the most overrated player in the NFL. 0 sacks last year, and 3 in 2019. He’s only played 16 games once in 7 years. It’s not no, it’s heck no from Beane. I’d love Ngakoue, but I seriously doubt we can or would pay for him. Jonnu Smith is possible.
  6. We just can’t pay everyone and he was the short straw.
  7. I wouldn’t assume that one although logical. They could be targeting someone, and start the negotiations, amd the plan is convert Addison’s pay cut to just cut the guy. They could have him as the fall back plan, and if they lock up one of the studs talked about this off season, then go from a $2 mil. pay cut (hypothetically) to dropping him and save the $6+ mil. We’ll find out this week. Beane is getting a lot of love from NFLR lately at extending people that are priorities for the Bills. I’ve heard it on multiple shows amd good for him.
  8. We can rebuild him. The first bionic man. A little too old for me, but loved the reruns. As far as Barkley, hard pass.
  9. Well said and a reduction is not a restructure per se. It would be great if people just use Pat Kirwan’s three R’s. Restructure (kick the can down the road), Reduce (pay cut, maybe sometimes incentives to get part back, ie. Morse), and Release, ie. Brown and Jefferson. Restructuring into bonus can help for 2021 for some of the players mentioned like White and Dawkins, and there is very little downside for the player as they still get their $, just spaced over several years. This is one year as an exception Id advocate some restructuring, and keep the pressure onto to reduce where possible. I also wonder if they ask Hughes for a $1 mil. Reduction. He’ll be 33 by the time the season starts, so you know he doesn’t want to be on the street right now. He’d get paid even less by another team.
  10. Bud, just like the rest if us, you just have to keep checking Spotrac or OTC. They have the most up to date info. Anything else is questionable.
  11. MKD, sounds like a really nice boy. Tell him we loved it.
  12. McKenzie is more versatile. Maybe a few yards less in avg. returns, but can do so many other things. Roberts is a luxury.
  13. Nailed it. I hope even with moving up we could catch fire with an edge rusher trading up to late teens, but doubtful. Taking Jonnu for $8 mil, might make the price range, amd he is solid, dependable, and would contribute in 2021. I too have high hopes for this Epenesa and Knox. I’m nowhere near the give up on either. Longer rope for Epenesa. I need to see excellent hands from Knox this year. It’s definitely possible for year 3 for a TE.
  14. Because most take a few years to develop. Even Kelce wasn’t a stud his rookie year. Jonnu has proven himself over four years, and as a ton of people have said, hitting on a stud TE from the start is rare. You’re right, they could, but we don’t have the draft capital to get the kid from FL. He’s projected at 8. He’s about the only one that looks at this point as a sure thing. There are a lot of TE’s with quality this year, and I have said multiple times, but we want talent now. Much easier to grab a speed demon WR that can develop rout running skills later and take say in the 4th. Year 1, we just want a fast go route guy. Thats my perspective.
  15. It’s not like they extended him so they can still add a FA, but it would be in negotiations and then cut him after he takes a pay cut. It’s not they restructured and have to kick the can down the road. I would just hold on for the next 10 days and see what happens. After that it would be secondary at best role player adds, or none. This stuff is going to change by the day and the whole league is moving fast right now. Just turn on NFLR. I’ve been hearing news all day which is to be expected.
  16. Eman, amen. Please BB, please be stupid and don’t encircle him with five offensive weapons in WR and TE. please keep him devoid of all talent except running so we can destroy them twice.
  17. Hear me out (sorry just had to say it), Brady does well again next year, and BB with the capable hands of Cam 🤔 sucks eggs, how much fun just trolling BB tarnishing his future that he sucked in Cleveland, did well but only with Brady. That would be sweet justice with all of this crap he plays chess with everyone else playing checkers. That is sweet to me. Brady again trying to work with a team to keep talent to win. How do you hate that one? Ok, you don’t like him. Ok, as long as we kill the Bucs in 2021, I could care less unless we get them in the SB, and hopefully kill them again. Fine with me. The only thing just to cement it is the Bucs go 12-4, with a loss to us, and the Cheats go even farther down to 6-10, amd the Bucs destroy the Pats by 30. We destroy the Pats twice by at least 30 as well. Now that is beautifullllllllllllll!
  18. He’s not dumb. He gets the same $ in a contract shift, and given KC has three o lineman gone with the center released, they have the $ to get FA’s that will be more affordable than in years past. The Texans Center was durable and good and he’s available.
  19. Wow, that is great. My guess is now we’re not going for a big FA Edge Rusher. Maybe now in the draft #30 is compiled with other pics to get a partner to get Hughes for an excellent prospect. BillsMafi, you’ve been on it lately. Good job bud. I think Yolo is a little jealous. 😂 we still have Epenesa and now Addison on one side. Beane, please, please please, lock up Jonnu Smith next. If we lose a speed WR, let’s at least get a top level TE. We can always draft a speed WR in a mid draft pick. Even just a one trick pony like Ginn years ago, or Deshaun Jackson in the day.
  20. I think animal sacrifice is good enough. Wooh, now I’m going to have PETA on me. All kidding aside, how nice is it NE also in the same day resigned Cam. Yeahhhhh! This was nice with an AVP. $9.4 mil/ avg. deal. I wonder who else we can get to reduce in their salary, and I wonder if they go somewhat to Tre for a restructure and convert some to Bonus. It doesn’t matter to him as he gets the same $ up front. I love Mongo, but not sure if this is now off the table. He’s great to me, but not what was reported he wants. We’ll see. By the end of next week, we’ll have a good handle in 10 days.
  21. But inside sources say some guys have a house on the market. 🤪
  22. And Badolz, does the broken leg mean he’s injury prone? Even a torn pec is not like tons of soft tissue injuries of bad knees, ankles, etc. Hey everyone’s entitled to their opinion. I disagree with you. Players get hurt. Watt just received $15.5 mil., Gronk was paid at top level and had multiple back, forearm injuries. I’ve torn a pec. If you’re stretching rigorously, using yoga etc., to keep yourself from unnecessary injuries, it doesn’t mean you still can’t get hurt. Eric Wood missed 24 games in his 9 year history. One was a broken leg. Bottom line for me if he’s in the future injured, he won’t realize those dollars, as part of his contract. You don’t like him, ok. No worries. I don’t see this as a problem. I respect you’re opinion, just don’t agree it’s a big issue. Hey, I could easily be very wrong in two years. We’ll know then and they certainly can get out of the contract in two years. Have a good one bud.
  23. Thanks Nasty. Another tidbit Sal who analyzed as much as he could the contract, and made a significant pt. In the 6am hour for those that want to hear it on demand on radio.com. His statement was he only earns that $44 mil. If he plays. He has incentives to get to 44 by playing. He did get a substantial of guaranteed which is not touchable. So for the great Carnak guys who are predicting more injury proned years, he won’t get those $. For you youngins and I was only a preteen at the end of this guys run, here is the Great and Mystical Carnak. (Not for you OldManFan, Shaw, Chand, and so on).
