  1. Gilmour, not MSG but 3x at the Hollywood Bowl. Excited is not a strong enough word!
  2. Please don't hurt the kitty.
  3. I'm kinda glad I decided to watch tennis last night instead of football! I sure didn't expect to say that in my lifetime
  4. awesome resilience
  5. There's hardly any undeveloped land left anywhere in my part of West Seneca. It's kind of depressing to look at the google satellite maps of the area. We used to have minibike trails, and forests so thick we could have bonfires without anyone knowing. Now it's all housing developments. Historically they called this part of town "Back of the Moon". It's certainly anything but now.
  6. This is an endless argument on my favorite touring band's forum as well. The only answer is to read the room and act accordingly.
  7. I'm a little surprised to read this as Chinatown was the only place I felt unsafe in Honolulu. I'll third the Diamond Head hike - get there as early as you can to avoid the crowds (like get there before sunrise if possible). We had the pillboxes all to ourselves for a few minutes before hordes of tourists came up behind us. And Pearl Harbor is an absolute must. Even my senior citizen mom enjoyed the battleship and submarine tours, as well as the newly renovated Aviation Museum (The Arizona Memorial was under repairs during our visit so we only got to view it from the boat) .
  8. Signed to PS per a number of X accounts
  9. I would love to see more green chile find its way onto Buffalo restaurant menus, at least at the Mexican restaurants. It's really good, and quite addictive. Don't confuse green chile sauce with salsa verde or any type of chili. It's my favorite culinary offering from the Southwest.
  10. John Matocha. UDFA from Division II Colorado School of Mines. Can run and throw, broke Case Keenum's all time record for TD's in college history.
  11. 1 Generic please. Thanks, looking forward to it!
  12. The only safe number is zero. When your window is rolled down and you're being asked how much you had to drink that day, you want to be able to honestly say zero. Any deviation from this answer is going to be trouble.
  13. Westminster Abbey was my favorite place to visit in all of London, so hopefully it's on your tour
  14. I recommend familysearch dot org because it is free (vs. ancestry dot com which charges). It is run by Church of LDS, who have archived a lot of the old church records. Once I entered a number of my relatives/ancestors, my tree merged with work that others had done which opened up a lot of new information. Only information about deceased relatives is made public.
  15. No disagreement here. I was speaking mainly of the weather/climate - much of the country is in 80s 90s and 100s and that's not exactly conducive to thinking about hockey. But I do have memories, albeit distant now, of WNY when the Sabres made runs for the cup and I know it is electric.
  16. It's nice to have something to watch, but playing hockey basically in summer is kind of ridiculous.
  17. An additional MSG date was added today. I managed to score tix to both Hollywood Bowl shows this morning - I'm beyond stoked as DG has said it is his favorite USA venue, and I've never been to Hollywood. I still see some tickets available via the fan presale code. Hope everyone who wants to go can still get a ticket! General onsale still coming up * UPDATE: A 3rd Hollywood Bowl and a 4th MSG show was just added. Lots of tix still available. PM me if you need the presale code
  18. Many already mentioned so I'll try to dig a little deeper Double Dragon Ikari Warriors Black Tiger Xevious Cabal
  19. Alan Parsons was the lead engineer on DSOTM and was nominated for a Grammy for it.
  20. New David Gilmour album announcement just dropped today. If you are a PF fan, this may be your last chance to see him (there is no information yet about a tour but it is most likely imminent). Travel will probably be required - his recent interviews indicate he is probably done with big tours - but man is it worth it. https://www.neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk/david-gilmours-new-album-official-announcement
  21. If your house is outside the zone of totality, be sure to be inside the zone when the eclipse happens. This is one time when 99.99% won't cut it. That .01% of the sun will still block your ability to see the corona, which is amazing to observe. Good luck! I'm crossing my fingers toes and all other appendages that the clouds will clear for everyone!!
  22. So Maddy was right after all
  23. Correct. The closer you are to the center line, the longer the duration of totality.
  24. This was an annular eclipse, not a total eclipse. For those who are close to the path of totality, make the effort to get into the zone of totality. Even 99% doesn't cut it. It will be well worth your trouble!
  25. WhoTom and I often thumbs-upped each other's posts about music, so I know we would have shared spirited conversations beyond just the Bills and Sabres had we ever met at a tailgate (the Einstein portrait in the back reinforces that notion too). RIP Tom, hope you get front row seats to the great gig in the sky, you deserve it
