  1. That is a good point about contracts of the other WRs on the roster below Brown and Cole. I had not fully considered that. Zay's analytics (catch rate, etc) all had significant imrovements from 2017 to 2018, which brought him from poor to average among NFL WRs in 2018. The Bills know that they currently at least have a competent NFL receiver with a chance to improve to above average starter in his 3rd year. If they move on from him, it has to be with the idea that another WR they might otherwise cut (Duke, Foster, McKenzie) will at least be able to match the average production with higher upside.
  2. Foster is so entrenched in the doghouse, I'm worried he might be cut. Which would be a huge disappointment. As for Zay, to me he fits this year as the 3rd or 4th WR on the team.. You do have the history 3rd year WR improvement factor to consider. And as other posters mentioned he is on very affordable for this season and next. The only realistic trade that makes sense to me, is for a starting caliber O-lineman. Your not going to get a draft pick in the first 4 rounds, and I would prefer not to see them give him away for a late round pick our outright cut him.
  3. Virgil, excellent work. I saw the same things as you did on most of your points. Edmunds has made huge strides since the first half of last year. He should be a big impact player this year. Oliver - he’s not getting penetration and looks tentative. Seems like it will be a developmental year for him. And yes as bad as STs were last night, Hauschka hit the ball w authority and did appear more confident. On point 2 I disagree. The overall offensive performance was concerning, especially O-line. It looked a lot like last year. With all the FA signings the only one that looks competent is Feliciano. Teller and Bates also had poor performances. Ford did look good though. The Bills s/b making a lot of cuts on O-line and looking at the waiver wire from the teams w/ good Depth at O-line
  4. I wish they’d take him back. The joke was on us for playing a punter and holder who can’t catch a football
  5. I know I hated his dad more than any other player. And I still do. Scum bag terrorist threatened to blow up our stadium.
  6. It’s funny, cause he’s not on our team anymore, Thank God.
  7. Definitely thinking playoffs. The Bills are going to be a good team. I believe 10 - 6 is realistic and 11 - 5 is a possibility. I won’t predict division bc that depends on New England. And into someone knocks them off....
  8. Very disappointed to see EJ Gaines go to IR. Maybe a candidate to come off IR during the season.
  9. Yep. Thought he was going to a Bill for a long time. But he never returned after training camp injury in his 2nd year
  10. That fact that the Dolphins are not ranked 32, makes this list completely wrong. Those are by far the worst unis in the NFL and probably in all of major pro sports in this country. Of the old school uniforms my favorites are the Raiders, Cowboys, Rams and Giants. The Giants mainly b/c their white w/ blue numbers remind me of the Bills 80's - 90's jerseys. Never liked the Steelers or Packers. Bills are #1, other than those brutal Tom Donahoe / Drew Bledsoe 2000's unis.
  11. John Elway and Randall Cunningham come to mind. Physical intangibles is an oxymoron.
  12. Mitch Morse. His signing.started to make me optimistic about the off season.
  13. Only Marrone, Jay Gruden, and Shurmur ranked below McDermott. Other than a few of the new guys who are 1st year HCs. If McD does what many of us expect by leading Bills to winning seasons, perception will change. He will gain respect and move up the ranks. IMO McD is the best Bills coach since Marv and 2nd best in AFCE. Hope he is here for the next decade+.
  14. I remember a lot of big plays by Cornelius Bennett. The article says Biscuit was a 2 time Defensive Player of the Year. That's impressive, did not remember that. For Eric Moulds and Kyle Williams it's just a matter of time. Would like to see Freddy Jackson get the honor.
  15. Nice Fighting Blue Hens reference
  16. Thank you Mr. Obvious. I didn't think they picked Ford by accident. Just saying that I like Risner. IMO he was the best available RT and would've been a good fit. Hopefully Beane, Jeremaiah, etc, are correct and Ford turns out to be a long time starter for the Bills
  17. If they were going to take O-line, I would have preferred Dalton Risner
  18. Yep. Me too. NE picking him put a sour note on an otherwise good night.
  19. That contract seems low. His agent did a crappy job
  20. Why did you think the Bills covet Wesco, did you hear or read something value him more than other teams? He seems like a tough kid with decent hands. But he has very limited experience in passing game and limited route tree. Basically 1 year in the passing game and most of his catches were on 2 routes. #137 seems too early to take Wesco.
  21. Nice Post OP. #2 regarding Andre Roberts and special teams in general will be important. Not sure if Senorise Perry and Mo Alexander will make the team. But the Bills are putting a focus to upgrade the ST including coaching staff. And I agree this could easily change the out come of a few games. Last year ST were awful, so just getting to neutral could change from 1 or 2 losses caused by ST to break even could be the difference in making playoffs. #6 I am a big McDermott fan. This year really will be a good test for him and tell a lot if he can be an elite coach or not. Not only to see how new and more talented players are utilized, but also several new coaches on the staff. Several of those 18 FAs are not going to be on the opening day 53. I would say at least 5 or 6 through injury or being outplayed. This should be the first year since 2015 where there is really good competition. The last 3 years the back ups on OL, WR, LB, RB, TE have been very weak. If they do the draft right they should have a NFL quality 53 coming out of camp for the first time in awhile.
  22. He doesn’t fit the culture of Bills RB room. The first step in The Process of becoming a Bills RB is to live for at least 30 years. Fournette’s not there yet. Come see us when you have at least 10 years experience and 2,000 carries under your belt
