  1. I can see moving up Bowles a couple notches at least above Groh and Gase. I just remember it got ugly at the end of his time with the NYJ. Although it got ugly at the end for just about everyone on these lists . Jauron, Gailey, Mularkey were all about the same to me. Gailey and Mularkey created at least created more entertainment.
  2. my ranking. 1) Sean McDermott 2) D Marrone 3) M Mularkey 4) Chan Gailey 5) Wade Phillips 6) Dick Jauron 7) Greg Williams 8 ) Rex Ryan For Bills McD is by far the best. Greg Williams and Rex Ryan both were absolutely horrendous for the Bills. Everyone else jumbles together Miami Dolphins 1) Dave Wannstedt 2) Tony Sparano 3) Brian Flores 4) Joe Philbin 5) Adam Gase 6) Nick Saban 7) Cam Cameron Wow. the Dolphins actually have a worse collection of under performers than the Bills. Saban is obviously a better coach than the rest. But he did a lot of damage to the Fish NY Jets 1) Rex Ryan 2) Herm Edwards 3) Eric Mangini 4) Al Groh 5) Adam Gase 6) Todd Bowles
  3. I live out of town and enjoy listening to the OBL podcast to get updates on the Bills. I'll never complain about too much Bills talk. But if I'm running a radio station, there's no way I keep that as 52 weeks a year 3 hours a day show. It gets stale and boring. They need to be more flexible to talk about the hot topics of day. I don't see Chris Brown and certainly not Maddy Glab as much of an upgrade. Listening to Maddy Glab everyday will get old fast. Murph and Tasker are OK, but they offer little intrigue or unique perspective. That show is way better when there is a guest on. I agree with some with some that Murphy was better when he was younger. Trying to find the silver lining in all those losing years from the Bills has taken a toll. Still miss Van Miller There was a truly excellent play by play guy.
  4. I think the answer is 1999.. 2014 and especially 2015 were very talented teams. A bunch of players from those rosters have had productive seasons with other teams. But subpar coaching, QB play and probably lack of leadership at player level prevented more success. With even average QB play and competent coaching, That 2015 team definitely had the talent to make the playoffs and be dangerous enough to beat anyone in 1 game. Think last years Titans.
  5. No. Not sure where you are getting the inference that I’m justifying racial Epithets. I do think that Cox deserved to be taunted by Bills fans as much as any player by any group of fans, that I can think of in all my years participating in and watching sports.
  6. Yes, absolutely. Cox Jr pretty much wipes out all the good that Beane has done. He’s now on the hot seat. Anything short of a division title and at least 1 playoff win, and I’ll contribute to the fire Brandon website and billboard.
  7. Cox was and is a hard core jerk. He literally threatened to blow up the stadium. He should have banned from traveling to Buffalo. Cox brought it on himself. You expected the fans to be cordial? He deserved to be roasted by the fans he that he threatened with mass murder and terrorism.
  8. Horrible. That is the worst signing of Beane's tenure. And probably the worst since Marv overpaid for those linemen back in 2007. I believe there is still a restraining order on Cox in OP, that will not allow him with in 5 miles of the stadium. If, god forbid, he makes the team and his Dad comes to any games, Cox Sr. should be arrested and deported back to Miami.
  9. Was hoping for Bryce Hall there. Of the WRs left in the draft would’ve shot for Tyler Johnson in the 5th
  10. He was a 3 year starter at Iowa. He was consistent. 2018 Sophomore year stats were comparable to his 2019.
  11. Safe pick. I like it. Dobbins on that Baltimore O will be scary
  12. Edward-Helaire. Reminds me of Thurman Thomas in style and as a multi-purpose back. He will be a very god pro RB. Would also be happy w AJ Dillon in 3rd or 4th round
  13. Hope you’re right. I’m a big fan of Phillips, so it’s meant as a compliment
  14. That’s a good signing. Very solid player comparable to Phillips. Good 2 year deal at fair value
  15. I tend to agree. For comparison, Does anyone know how much AZ is paying Phillips?
  16. Hughes didn’t play in Carolina. So yes he’s in trouble
  17. You realize that both trades happened today? How do you not compare them? The better receiver went for way less compensation, especially when you factor that moving Johnson offsets part of Hopkins pay. Yes it does make the Texans look worse than then Bills. And I’m to have Diggs on the team.
  18. I like Diggs and contract is reasonable. But.., When you compare that to the Hopkins deal it makes me the Bills & Texans look really bad, and Cards & Vikes look really good. Bills & Texans would’ve both been better off trading w each other.
  19. For the 1st half
  20. A trade-up would surprise me, and I think there is a pretty good chance we trade down. With the depth at WR and at least a couple very good DE's (ex. Epensa) who could be available late 1st round, there could be enough good players still on the board at positions of need where Beane will risk trading down. Although I think 5 - 6 spots is the max they would be willing to move back.
  21. I have lived in Miami, and watched a ton of Marino games and many in person. He was an amazingly talented passer, but not a great QB if your goal is to win the game. A very over rated player. There are several QBs from the 80's - 90's that I would choose over Marino.
  22. Exactly. Like Marino back in the day. Excellent Passer. But not the QB you want on your team in the playoffs. As for the WR debate. Golliday over Diggs. For the same reasons you take a winning QB over cousins
  23. Do we really need a new Flutie vs Johnson thread. And on Super Bowl eve?
  24. How long ago did you acquire your tickets? Were you able to get them at face value?
