  1. Hope you’re right. I’m a big fan of Phillips, so it’s meant as a compliment
  2. That’s a good signing. Very solid player comparable to Phillips. Good 2 year deal at fair value
  3. I tend to agree. For comparison, Does anyone know how much AZ is paying Phillips?
  4. Hughes didn’t play in Carolina. So yes he’s in trouble
  5. You realize that both trades happened today? How do you not compare them? The better receiver went for way less compensation, especially when you factor that moving Johnson offsets part of Hopkins pay. Yes it does make the Texans look worse than then Bills. And I’m to have Diggs on the team.
  6. I like Diggs and contract is reasonable. But.., When you compare that to the Hopkins deal it makes me the Bills & Texans look really bad, and Cards & Vikes look really good. Bills & Texans would’ve both been better off trading w each other.
  7. For the 1st half
  8. A trade-up would surprise me, and I think there is a pretty good chance we trade down. With the depth at WR and at least a couple very good DE's (ex. Epensa) who could be available late 1st round, there could be enough good players still on the board at positions of need where Beane will risk trading down. Although I think 5 - 6 spots is the max they would be willing to move back.
  9. I have lived in Miami, and watched a ton of Marino games and many in person. He was an amazingly talented passer, but not a great QB if your goal is to win the game. A very over rated player. There are several QBs from the 80's - 90's that I would choose over Marino.
  10. Exactly. Like Marino back in the day. Excellent Passer. But not the QB you want on your team in the playoffs. As for the WR debate. Golliday over Diggs. For the same reasons you take a winning QB over cousins
  11. Do we really need a new Flutie vs Johnson thread. And on Super Bowl eve?
  12. How long ago did you acquire your tickets? Were you able to get them at face value?
  13. Agree w everything above. Although I think Yeldon wasn’t utilized properly. But if he’s gonna be inactive every week would rather bring in a young guy with potentially more upside
  14. What did he say about Allen?
  15. They won Because they cheated in 2018. With basically the same roster in 2019 they did not make the playoffs
  16. I was very upset after Saturday and decided to avoid all the post-mortem coverage for my mental health and take a Buffalo Bills break. But I couldn’t even make it 48 hours. After listening to the audio of Beane, it’s the first time I started to feel a little better since the meltdown on Saturday. He was accountable, thoughtful, and passionate yet measured. Having smart and strategic management at the top gives confidence that the team is in good shape going forward.
  17. That missed block is on Morse too. Both Knox and Morse forgot to block anyone. On the first QB Sweep. Morse blocked the LB and Knox made a block further downfield.
  18. Excellent post. good comments by you and Joe B. Too bad that it's all true. So many issues in that game
  19. Going into the 2017 draft the Bills and McD decided to rebuild. The first pillar of that strategy was to find the best college QB to draft and build around. The fact that they chose Allen over Watson, Mahomes, and Jackson is painful to watch this year. And I expect it will only become more painful as the Chiefs, Texans, and Ravens take turns representing the AFC in the SB for the next 5 - 10 years. As for for the question of which QB you want leading your team, watching Allen panic and choke the game away, while Watson lead a brilliant comeback. It couldn't be more apparent. I guarantee if you posted the same question to the Texans fan base it would be almost unanimous.
  20. Special teams always tilts 1 or 2 NFL playoff games each year. And not just made or missed FGs. On paper the Bills and Texans O's vs D's are pretty even match ups. So ST could be the difference. Yesterday, Someone posted the full game of a previous Buffalo vs Houston playoff game from New Years Day 1989. The Bills won that game on special teams. A blocked punt set-up their first TD, also had a blocked FG and the Oilers missed another FG influenced by pressure. The Bills also had outstanding kick coverage, plus they had a couple nice punt returns. 17 - 10 Bills victory. And we all know they have lost at least 1 playoff game on a last second Special Teams screw up.
  21. He was bad. But it looked like part of the poor performance was rust. Coming in cold in crappy rainy weather, to play with a bunch of other guys who haven't played in live action for months is not easy. Not that that he was great, but he looked a lot more comfortable in the 2nd half once he and the other back-ups got warmed up. 1st half : 9 attempts for 29 yards, 1 sack, 1 INT 2nd half: 26 attempts for 202 yards, no sacks, 1 INT You could do worse for a back-up QB. Could do better too.
  22. Listening to national sports talk on the radio. That topic was raised on 2 different stations and both times, the Titans were the choice. Tannehill being most efficient QB in NFL over the last 10 weeks, good running game, and defensive playmakers including Simmons, Casey, and Byard were given as reasons. Personally I think both the Bills and Titans have good chances for a victory on Saturday. Should be 2 close games. Baltimore and KC will be pretty big favorites over either Wildcard team.
  23. Did they give him a new contract this year? Whoops
  24. They have the Jets 3rd and the Fish 4th. Friggin Belichick.
