What’s your favorite Bills opening day game?
Reks Ryan replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going to cheat a little and go with the 2014 home opener. CJ Spiller returned the 2nd half Kickoff for a TD and the Bill beat Miami 29 -10 to go 2 - 0. Even more important than the result, was that it was the week the Pegulas closed on the acquisition of the Bills. After more than a decade of irrelevance on the field an Octogenerian+ owner, poor management, and real fear that the Bills were leaving Buffalo, it was great just to enjoy the game knowing our team wasn't leaving. The stadium atmosphere was electric. Although there were alot of questions about the team and coaching staff, it was a great day to squish the fish and be in first place. -
OJ getting run down from behind. That didn't happen often. I think it would've be interesting to include opponents plays in these top 10 stadium lists.

They look like the Lions white on white Unis, and similar helmet design too.

Agree, I would have been surprised to see Davidson on the practice squad again. Latu is a rookie who seems to have more upside than Davidson. So 3 UDFA rookies, Latu plus Gosnell & Jenkins, made the practice squad in addition to almost all the drafted rookies making the 53.

The Eagles have good depth at DB, so definitely a place to look for castoffs that could be better than what the Bills have. But why are you so high of on Eli Ricks? Genuinely asking, I am not familiar with his game. https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/news/156649/eli-ricks-waived-eagles-cut-third-year-cornerback

Interesting article about how trading down for Cine, instead of taking Kyle Hamilton, lead to a horrendous 2022 draft for the Vikings. Yet they still have a very good roster top to bottom. They've been excellent in FA signings the last couple years. https://sports.yahoo.com/article/vikings-biggest-draft-screwup-nobody-145133219.html

Rams extend RB Kyren Williams - 3-year, $33 million
Reks Ryan replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
K. Williams and Cook are the same draft class. Williams was a 5th rounder. His 2025 salary is less than Cook. $11 mil/year is a nice increase for 5th round RB Williams is a year younger than Cook, 24 about to turn 25, compared to Cook who will turn 26 in Sept. The Rams drafted Blake Corum last year and used a 4th round pick on an RB this year. So it seems that the Rams, like Buffalo, will use 3 RBs. Williams is about as close a comp as you will find for Cook, so I can't imagine the Bills paying significantly more. -
Christian Wilkins released for kissing team mate
Reks Ryan replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
That makes sense. Probably some nonconsensual nut fondling, plus who knows what else. Doubt a teammate would go to HR if the kiss was the only harassment. -
Miami Herald: Dolphins players have turned on McDaniel
Reks Ryan replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. That was my experience as I-AA walk on. Back when they still called it I-AA. The coaches really don’t care about you. Of 28 walk ons, only 4 of us were still on the team after freshman year, and only 2 (not me) ever got significant playing time. Both of those guys were really terrific athletes. Anyway, McDaniel is still a nerd. -
Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDs
Reks Ryan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Considering what a good overall GM Beane has been for the Bills, it’s amazing how horrible he has been at signing D-line free agents. Failure after failure and with considerable investment. The Achilles Heel that continues to prevent the Bills from getting through the AFC playoffs. -
With a post June 1 cut, can he be signed (or at least come to an agreement) with another team before 6/1?
-
I think Staubach is significantly underrated on the OPs list. On my list he is equal to or above 1/2 the guys shown on the top tier. Other QBs I think are underrated on that list include Roethlisberger, Tarkenton, Dan Fouts, and Otto Graham. And Bobby Lane is missing. I would take Marino out of the top tier. Most overrated QB ever, and no way I would take him above Kelly, let alone Josh.

Teddy Bruschi & Tom Brady get votes? And they both voted for Lamar.

Benford & Rapp both missed the divisional game against KC last year

How much time have you spent thinking about this game.
Reks Ryan replied to Stroke 17's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty much all the time since last night -
Divisional Round, Ravens v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Reks Ryan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really want to say 35 - 10 Bills for the inverse of the Baltimore game, but don't see the Ravens having a long scoring drought like the Broncos. So.... Bills 33 Ravens 28 -
Mixon did have a really good stretch of games, when he came back from injury in October. He had 7 out of 8 games over 100 yards with at least 1 TD. Cook has definitely been better the last month and full year stats are better. But early voting and name recognition probably cost him.

Did you notice that they lost to the Bengals 2 days ago?

Chuck Smith, DL Coach of the Ravens
Reks Ryan replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree that the Ravens D has improved in the recent games I watched compared to early and mid-season games. But if you make it the last 7 games you would count the 428 yards given up to Burrow. Besides banged up Steelers, Texans, and NYG team in recent weeks they did hold the Eagles and Chargers in check. It seems to me that their secondary especially Humphrey and Hamilton have been playing really well in the recent games I watched I hadn't noticed great D-Line play from the Ravens -
Prefer the Broncos. I know the Bills should squish the fish in a January game in OP. Weather, track record, they're Allen's favorite team to play, etc. But there is something about the recent history, the teams knowing each other so well, and Miami's playmakers that makes me really worry the Dolphins are due to win a close game. Just looking at the last 3 seasons since it has been McD vs McD, the Bills lost the first matchup and then won 6 in a row including playoff game 2 years ago. Of the 7 games 2 were blowout wins and the other 5 came right down to the wire. Even this year at home it took a personal foul on Poyer to avoid the fish having the ball w a chance to win in regulation and a 61 yard FG to avoid OT.

Would you sign up right now for a Buffalo at Kansas City AFCCG?
Reks Ryan replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well now that Chiefs have an almost 90% chance to get #1 seed. Yes definitely sign up for Bills to be in KC for AFCG.
