Part of the reason why, is that it's contagious. The more mass shootings that happen and the more they're publicized, makes it more likely to put the idea in the head of the next maniac. If there was no incidence or news of mass shootings in the USA for the next 10 years, the chances of one happening in year 11 would be a lot less than it happening next week, while news is fresh. Ex. Columbine helped lead to many more school shootings. Also firearm technology has improved over the years, which is a factor in making the incidents more deadly

BTW, it's the anniversary of the Stoneman Douglas HS shooting in Parkland, FL where my daughter went to HS, and lost friends who were killed. She called me from college, very upset to see what happened today in KC.

New England is the most hated, and it's not even close. I lived in New England in the late 90's and went to many games in the Sullivan / Foxboro stadium. Most people didn't care, didn't understand the game, couldn't explain what a first down was. I remember tailgating with some friends before Patriots games and we like to ask random fans to name other mascots in the NFL. At least half their "fans" couldn't name more than 5 other teams. Then those arrogant f'ers start winnning and act like they're god's gift to the NFL. Plus all those despicable characters that were their leaders for those 20 terrible year. It was cruel punishment to have them play in so many championsip games I would be glad not to see KC in the AFCG or Superbowl for at least 10 years. But I dont even hate the Chiefs 2% as much as the Patriots. i actually hate the TB Bucs way more than the Chiefs. Those idiots gleafully adpoted Brady, Gronk, Antonio Brown, etc. The Chiefs fans are riding high in recent years. But other than a couple loud mouths in the media, I have found their fans to respectful and not over the top. Can't say the same for those Massholes.

My gut is afriad of Mahomes against a back 7 full of back-ups. Cam Lewis playing significant against Mahomes is an awful scenario. Allen and the O will play well, but Chiefs D is good enough to contain them from putting up the 30 points that will be necessary to win.

I thougnt that too. But after I heard his interview when he mentioned he was released before the Chiefsa game, I looked and it was actually more than 1 month Klein was on his couch. He was released on Dec 9th, and he said he thought he was done. He got signed back Thursday, Jan 11. To me coming back after 5 weeks out, and playing well in an NFL playoff game in freezing temps, after basically 1 practice, is pretty damn impressive

We just stood in it. It was a light fluffy snow, but there was too much to really clear a space. Our section was full so you really couldn't put it in front or behind. We just moved it under our seat and kicked out a little space for our feet. It's gonna be an issue next week, especially that it's all packed down, icy and more coming. The stairs were truly dangerous. I almost fell a few times. The people on the aisles seats were used as guard rails.

Defininetly Josh's mistake. I was sitting on the 10 yard line on that side of the field. The pressure got to Josh and created the mistake. The throw was so far off, it looked like he was throwing it away. Davis made the right move, with a bit more time it's probably a TD. Anyway, Allen was incredible to watch last night as he always in Miami. Love that he's a Dolphin killer

I agree with you and I mentioned that his running is a big reason for the current win streak. I feel like finally this year, the national media has included Allen's running more in their analysis. I've appreciated that many analysts mention total TDs both for this season & his career, which wasn't always included in the past. BUT.. My point was that Allen is not a serious MVP candidate this year. And his passing stats are clearly below MVP standard. A QB is not going to be considered for MVP, unless they're very effecient like Lamar, or a league leader in passing yards & TDs.

That's a good illustration. He doesnt rank in the top 5 of any passing category, except interceptions. And if you look just at th3 last month, he's in the bottom 5 of passer rating. And that's with alot of back-ups playing. Most important is winning, and Allen's running and some timely 1st down passing conversions are big reason they've won 4 in row. But you can't have a QB in the MVP discussion that's not close to a league leader in any passing stats.

And of that 746,000 in LA probably close to half the # were just general NFL fans - Football fans, Josh Allen fans, gamblers, fantasy players, etc who really don't care specifically about the Chargers. But the overall number of households in LA exceeeding Buffalonians tuning in, proves the point of exactly why the NFL wanted teams back in LA.

You mention Marty below, but who is the 3rd coach w .600+ record in the regular season? I thought it might be Chuck Knox who coached Rams, Bills, Seahawks, & Rams again. But I looked it up and he finished @ .558 for his careeer. He did coach teams to 7 playoff wins, overall 7 - 11 in postseason and never made a SB run. Knox was actually right @ .600 winning % until he returned to the Rams from 1992 - 1994 and went 15 - 33 to bring his % down before he retired. Knox has 193 total wins, which is #11 all time

Von is a really bad contract, but Russ is definitely worse. Overall money & dead cap (approx $68M compared to approx $32M if I understand correctly) is about double for Russ compared to Von. And screwing up the QB position hurts your team worse than any defensive position. It's really when you throw in all the trade pieces that make it a total disaster for the Broncos. 2 1st rounders, including #5 overall, 2 2nd rounders and 3 rosterable players make it the worst trade of this century. What's amazing is that the Browns may have equaled it on the Deshaun Watson trade & signing. They Watson trade was terrible, but still TBD if it's as bad or worse than Wilson.

I thought you were joking (sarcasm) on your orginal post. Did you watch him during the Chargers game? He looked worse in that game than he did against the Chiefs or Cowboys and he wasn't good in those games. Absolutely zero impact against the pass (not even a QB pressure) or run & he played around 40 snaps. I guess it's possible Von makes an impact in the playoffs, but I doubt it.

True, but my point is that at this juncture in the season Norman's spot doesn't have anything to do with whether or not Elam gets activated. Elam won't go to the practice squad, he'll either be activated to the 53 or placed on season ending IR. If the team / Hyde determine that the risk is too great for Hyde to play, then they IR Hyde, and Elam would be an option for that spot. If injuries create a situation where Norman gets elevated for the Dolphins game (assuming it's for the division) or a play off game, we're in trouble. I would much rather Elam play, or Hyde comes back and Lewis returns to his role as backup.

For Elam, yes they need to decide in the next couple days. Currently Bills are only at 52 active players, since last when they put Philips on IR. My feeling is that Jones will be 53 and they left the roster at 52 to give more time to make a decision if Hyde is going to play again, and perhaps activate Elam in his place to fill out the DBs.
