Chuck Smith, DL Coach of the Ravens
Reks Ryan replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree that the Ravens D has improved in the recent games I watched compared to early and mid-season games. But if you make it the last 7 games you would count the 428 yards given up to Burrow. Besides banged up Steelers, Texans, and NYG team in recent weeks they did hold the Eagles and Chargers in check. It seems to me that their secondary especially Humphrey and Hamilton have been playing really well in the recent games I watched I hadn't noticed great D-Line play from the Ravens -
Prefer the Broncos. I know the Bills should squish the fish in a January game in OP. Weather, track record, they're Allen's favorite team to play, etc. But there is something about the recent history, the teams knowing each other so well, and Miami's playmakers that makes me really worry the Dolphins are due to win a close game. Just looking at the last 3 seasons since it has been McD vs McD, the Bills lost the first matchup and then won 6 in a row including playoff game 2 years ago. Of the 7 games 2 were blowout wins and the other 5 came right down to the wire. Even this year at home it took a personal foul on Poyer to avoid the fish having the ball w a chance to win in regulation and a 61 yard FG to avoid OT.

Would you sign up right now for a Buffalo at Kansas City AFCCG?
Reks Ryan replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well now that Chiefs have an almost 90% chance to get #1 seed. Yes definitely sign up for Bills to be in KC for AFCG. -
Maye actually made some terrific plays against the blitz on the first 2 drives including a dime TD pass. Give him credit. A couple PI calls did hurt the Bills, but that was bc Maye put the ball up when our DBs / LBs had their backs to ball. i think it was smart that Babich changed it up and ran some plays showing pressure and then droppied out. In the 4th Quarter Bills brought the heat again which worked.

Week 16, Cheats v. Bills, GAME BALLS!
Reks Ryan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good to see the acknowledgment above for D. Williams. It was a huge difference after he came in for Spector. Why didn’t he start in the first place? Cook & McGovern blocking for him had good games. Rousseau caused 2 turnovers -

Bills keep their 30 point streak alive. Bills 31 Bad guys 20 -
Week 15, Bills v. Lions, GAME BALLS!

Johnson, O-line, Cook, Knox, and Josh Allen!! Oliver on D. -
I don't agree that Cinci's done nothing since their SB appearance. They crushed the Bills in OP, giving us our most lop-sided home playoff loss in team history, and then lost on a FG with 3 seconds left in the AFCG. That's closer to getting back to the SB then the Bills have been in the Josh Allen era.

Week 13, 49ers v. Bills - GAME BALLS!
Reks Ryan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Equipment Manager. Got them the right cleats for this snow game. The Bills really did seem to have better footing than the 9ers -
The decision to trade for D. Adams was brutal. Jets were 2 -4, had already fired their coach and didn't have a quality QB on their roster. Tyrod is past his prime. But they do have some young talent. That's exactly the type of team that should be cleansing the locker room of over-priced over-the-hill divas, not bringing in new one. Not sure if that trade decision was Woody Johnson or the GM. But if Douglas recommended trading for Adams, that's a last straw fireable offense.

Week 11, Chefs v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!

Bills 23 Chiefs 22 Chiefs luck runs out -
I appreciate your hatred of the Dolphins. But c'mon man, rooting for NE to go undefeated is truly despicable behavior for a Bills fan. You think the 70's Dolphins team is obnoxious. The NE dynasty teams and fans are already unsufferable. It would be double if they had an undefeated championship on top of the other Super Bowls. People talk about how lucky the recent Chiefs seem to be, but they haven't had 1/2 the fortunate bounces & unbelievable calls the Patriots got. Just in their first SB season 2001, they got 2 of the most incredible calls ever to win games in OT. When Keion Carpenter knocked out Troy Brown and caused the fumble in OT week 14 at the Ralph, they awarded Brown the recovery even though he was unconscious. NE does not win the division and get a bye + home game without that break. And of course the tuck rule call in their home playoff game. That started the worst 20 year period in the history of the NFL. Those M F'ers in NE got break after break for 20 years. I hate them from the bottom of my soul

Cook/Shakir/Oliver/Benford vs Hall/Wilson/Williams/Gardner
Reks Ryan replied to Chugga's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hall and Wilson both went top 5 in my fantasy draft. I thought it was insane that 2 Jets went that high. If you play for a bad offense, TDs and fantasy scoring will be down. It does speak to the perception of talent. I thing if there was an actual league-wide redraft today, all 4 of NYJ the OP lists, would be drafted ahead of any current Bills player, not named Josh Allen. -
The next 6 games will be interesting.
Reks Ryan replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just did the exercise of picking every game. Have Bills finishing at 12 - 5, including mail-it-in rest Josh & starters loss at NE in week 18. In the scenario of my picks they're 12 - 4 going into the last week. Tied with Baltimore also 12-4 for #2 seed, but w tie-breaker going to Ravens, Bills rest starters and accept 3 Seed. AFC seeds, 1. Chiefs, 2. Ravens, 3. Bills 4. Texans, 5. Steelers 6. Bengals, 7. Chargers. Bengals w 9- 8 record get wild card and come to Buffalo for round 1 In the NFC I have GB winning the North and #1 seed. NFC wild card teams are going to be so much better than AFC wildcards. Vikings plus either Lions or Packers, and either Commanders or Eagles are likely wild card teams. -
Bernard did not come back in the game after the lower leg injury. On the TV broadcast they announced he was ruled out . So it seems he would not have come back even if the game was close. it looked to me like a non contact injury, which worried me that it could be his Achilles. But he may have stepped on a foot and rolled his ankle.

Hire Saleh as defensive coordinator IMMEDIATELY
Reks Ryan replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I imagine this is a sarcastic post. But just in case you're serious. Why in the world would you want the guy who has been the 2nd worst head coach over the last 3+ seasons to come in and make the Bills dysfunctional? Saleh has have had plenty of talent the last couple years, but continues to lose at a high rate. Wish he had lasted in NJ 1 more week -
finally. Ridiculous that he lasted this long. Terrible results, but there was always an excuse for him

Week 5, Bills v. Texans, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Reks Ryan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Texans 34 Bills 31 Bass misses a late FG -
You left off Defensive End. That would be my pick. And a top flight safety would make a huge difference. Imagine Kyle Hamilton on the Bills. Going from back-up level at best, to an All-Pro would be a game changer. if Bills had a defense that.could hold Chiefs, Ravens, Bengals, 49ers, Lions, etc to 20 or less, Josh Allen could lead the team to the SB with the offense they have now.

It's weird seeing 32 by a random player in a Bills uniform. So many iconic highlights of OJ. And it's ironic that 32 was made famous by the fastest most dynamic RB in Bills history, is now worn by the slowest most plodding LB in Bills history.

He's replacement level at best. Cam Lewis is another replacement level player who struggles against top offenses and more athletic players. The bright side to me is that the weakness was exposed early in the season. Hopefully Taron returns in the next week or 2 and the staff puts in Edwards in place of Hamlin. IMO Edwards & Bishop will be our safeties at the end of the year, if healthy.
