  1. He'll get on board once he sees the kid play a bit. He's a bruising, fast, high twitch, workaholic, humble WR. I am shocked they pulled the trigger but LOVE the player.
  2. Sometimes you just gotta stop pissing in your own cheerios every morning. It's amazing how perspective on things changes thereafter.
  3. Shoulda been smoking the real stuff at least. C'mon Dareus!
  4. Nothing here that I disagree with. And to add , like Whaley has already indicated numerous times, he likely took all that research and leg work and probably ran some thoughts and maybe some film by mr. Nix as a valued expert on such player evals. Or maybe Nix looked at the film early on and then Whaley did the leg work. Who knows? it doesn't matter. But there is no reason to believe it was not a collaboration.
  5. It isn't. So yes, it could be Robinson/Watkins/Mack.
  6. some scary logic and thoughts there, just my opinion. Regarding my portion - Whaley has been with the team 3 years, only 2 of which he had any say so not sure what the 15 year thing is you are referring to. I certainly didn't say this is the way they've always done it. (Clearly not under T.D. for example ). But whatever... too hard for you to believe apparently that Nix is one of the most useful set of eyes in recent league history regarding player personnel evaluation. It's all good.
  7. I don't think I'd be overly excited about the Bills picking Martin. However, with that said, I think he is EXACTLY who the Patriots would pick if they were far enough up in the draft (even in our spot). Sure he's the 4th rated OT, but he's also the #1 C and #1 G. That's a huge benefit to a team's depth chart! Long term, I'm sure he would turn out to be a good pick but certainly not one that would get the fans excited.
  8. I don't think Whaley lied when he said about 30 different times over the past 2 years that the decisions are a joint effort. I believe they really do get together on it and value each other's opinions. I don't understand why it's hard to believe. It's the best way for an organization to function at the top and I'm glad they subscribe to it.
  9. Seriously? And you know what they ask him to do ? No you don't. He isn't a plugger NT and I'm guessing none of his coaches ever mistook him for one.
  10. A nice proactive move that doesn't hurt us this year while they evaluate him and his performance. I like it.
  11. RIP Mr. Wilson
  12. This^^^ - Quoting for truth
  13. The productivity is found by watching him play vs. the run. He is not an every down backer - which devalues the use of #'s in trying to evaluate him. But he sure can stop the run well. Very strong and instinctive.
  14. OMG just shut up Graham.... Look how well making strong efforts to keep all "goodie two shoes" players has done for the Bills over the past 10 + years. Smerlas is NOT the guy you want to take advice from any way. 10 years of his radio show and putting his foot in his mouth constantly have shown that.
  15. Exactly - situational player that we NEED... No problems here
  16. He'd be great on 1st and second down ... not as much a need , but certainly a luxury
  17. I have no idea why we would want Peppers or Ware .... We have a blistering pash rush as it stands.
  18. sorry for those of you that respect these guys (I do too at times) but they just don't have a respectable level of knowledge about our team to have any relevance. Glenn is a very impressive young LT. They may draft a tackle, but not to play LT.
  19. Keep him... Schwartz is going to adapt to the players we have here. He has said it himself. Not sure why people make the blatant assumption that he's going to change the scheme so drastically as to make one of our best moves in years meaningless.
