  1. Haha you don't see Mods trolling too often! Either that or you might be one of the more inaccurate viewers of a series of plays in a football game that I've come across in a while.
  2. Good point about the Murph show. To go one further with that on the play by play, Kelso is usually with him and describes what happened and why on every play they talk about. Kelso's X and O opinions CAN be trusted.
  3. More and more continue to misinterpret the OP. Are many just reading from their phones and only seeing part of it? Otherwise, Wow!
  4. From the progression I've seen in him I DO think the current staff CAN make Tuel into a very effective backup. JMO
  5. I don't mean just anyone. I mean people like Mike2332 or wtvr the # was , and folks like that. Proven posters who know what they are seeing (most of the time - we are all wrong at times - I was fooled by Rob Johnson Yipes!). I think we have found a good # of them on this board though.
  6. Here's a thought... There's some really knowledgeable (x's and o's) posters on this board that are from the Rochester and surrounding areas in WNY. Some of them them use twitter. Many of them go to camp. You should all "follow" each other and them and include more of their play by play tweets in the mix and less tweets from the same 3 reporters who may not know the game at that level (ie. calling a pass overthrown when the WR went to the wrong spot or cut off his route ). Then at least we can formulate a more informed opinion when our Qb's F up
  7. reading comprehension is an underrated skill.
  8. Bruce by a landslide
  9. Well put overall, however I'll add that not all posters are equally as clueless about what they see. Some have actually played a bit and/ or coached a bit. That's not to say they still can't be wrong of course Usually when the emotion and prior team history of it all is taken out of the analysis it's a lot more accurate. Then there's some things that are just retarded like expecting your QB to "scan the field" when it's a 3 step drop and his 1st read is wide opn and the pass needs to be on time.
  10. You can't do that on a 3 step drop play. If you scanned the field the primary wr's window would be closed. If we're seeing that a lot on 5 and seven step drop plays that would be a different story.
  11. Looks like he didn't set his hips and got worked in the upper body to me there .... He's lost his balance at the moment of that shot
  12. that's probably a matter of personal preference. I'm fine with it though
  13. Well done. Well done.
  14. Guard might be an option sure.... RT might still be an option too. He's just gonna have to develop. It was one game. Maybe we'll see improvement on Friday.
  15. His footwork leaves a lot to be desired. He'll need to progress quite a bit before Pears will need to worry about anything out there.
  16. just one more thought ( again continue the wonderful rants ). If you have a three step drop called on a play and the 1st read is open (open meaning anything from wide-open to "in good position in single coverage"), you throw it to the 1st read. as long as the arm motion and follow through are high enough, you don't blame your Qb for getting the ball tipped at the line there. So yeah, other than the mis-read LB he didn't see on the near-pick play, and looking back again I didn't see any bad throws or "not going through his progressions". Throw to Williams in end zone was good, Deep throw to Watkins was where it was supposed to be, conversion to Lee Smith was nice. Not sure where all these bad throws and reads were. This is neither a post in support of or bashing EJ.Just real football stuff.
  17. All I know is they said he's been around the league for a few years... He was certainly making the most of his opportunity out there in the 2nd half.
  18. I'm pretty sure our head coach called out the O-line in being responsible for 2 of the 3 tipped passes at the line. Henderson mysteriously disengaged his opponent early on the one. Not sure on the other. Also pretty sure our head coach was a former NFL lineman. The one tipped ball to be concerned of was the near interception. Ej needs to see that guy sliding into coverage. Carry on the rants I guess ....
  19. Agreed. Not that I don't think Robey did a great Job, but McKelvin's role had a much higher degree of difficulty and he had his best season as a pro.
  20. Lazy or at least incomplete. Nobody could answer my question above for example about the method of ranking D-Lineman for PFF (I figured someone more familiar with their methods would know), which leads me to think that they don't have a true accurate evaluation process in place for them. It all seems like more of a football = Dungeons and Dragons approach that they use, which leaves out huge important factors.
  21. If some people only knew the depth of issues that our former heroes Talley, Bennett, Kelly, Reed, Thomas and company got into and got away with
  22. I was there with my father. He had worked with ex Bills LB Scott Radecic's father in law and we got a hold of some good seats next to him that way. By 35-3 (right after the 2nd half pick six) the father in law had seen enough and decided to leave. You could tell Dad felt really pressured to get the heck outta dodge too but stubborn 21 year old me would have none of it. Next was the "C'mon youre crazy if you think they could....." etc. etc. In those times we had seen that team do enough amazing things with consistency that I did Billieve. Sure enough, the nearly impossible outcome was acheived... Never again will a victory (even a Super Bowl) feel quite that special to both my father and I, that's for sure...
