  1. I think you're right in this case. For example, you can have 2 guys with 60% completions and have one who throws very accurately but takes a ton of chances in coverage and down the field, and another who isn't accurate but has a great O-line and completes a lot of less risky passes, or has a great RAC receiver...
  2. As poorly as EJ played yesterday, there is NOTHING wrong with the way he's running the ball now. He is actually being smart about it and doing it the way he's been coached up. One little rushing 1st down conversion was not going to tilt the game yesterday with the way he was throwing the ball. It might be different under different circumstances, but not in game 3 of the season. He was injured 3 times last year for doing what some of you are wanting him to do here. I repeat , he is doing it (Running the ball) exactly the way the team expects him to.
  3. I think this is all accurate. Good balanced post with perspective and reality.
  4. YOU may be doing that, but hundreds upon hundreds of others are doing just exactly what the original poster conveyed.
  5. ehh - It's all good it's a fantasy stat anyway and YAC is often by design.
  6. @nfldraftscout: EJ Manuel has 2nd fewest pass attempts over 20 yards among starting NFL QBs. Defenses will adjust to this, likely this week. hmmm http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=PASSING_20PLUS_YARDS_EACH&tabSeq=0&season=2014&experience=&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&statisticCategory=PASSING&qualified=false Says otherwise - Tied for 4th most in the league
  7. ahh thanks! Am I the only one who thinks Tannehill is a pretty darn good qb still? He needs more help as far as I'mconcerned, but I wouldnt look to replace him...
  8. So Finfanfromrochester, What did you think of the game?
  9. No, I thought after a rough start to the game, he got into the groove and played well through the rest. Still can't hold on to those Int's but atleast he knows where the ball is. Very good tackling as well. He had atleast 2 PD's but none show on the stat sheet for him.
  10. Cool Mario gets as many double teams as JJ watt. That's why you don't always see him flash. Wake is a phenom pass rusher... Our Jerry Hughes is like a poor man's Wake
  11. A great piece on Goodwin for sure. I hope he gets the chance to make that next contract. He's just gotta stay healthy.
  12. Phinfan, no issues with your posts here overall in general. It'll be an interesting matchup. You sound like someone I know... However, that Phin fan I know here in Roch would never be silly enough to type Wake>Mario. That's beyond stupid. Mario is a complete ,every down, run stopper and pass rusher who can do it with both power and speed and physically out-classes any lineman in the league. Wake is a fantastic speed rusher (and boy he really is), but that's where it ends. He's not a run stopper and can't bull rush too many guys. Not even on the same measuring stick.
  13. A special FU needs to go out to Bob Matthews and MOST (not all) of the rest of the Rochester "Bills media coverage" for trying their best to paint all-things-Bills in a negative light!
  14. Thats HIGHLY unrealistic or likely but is possible I suppose. 5 all new Olineman typically will need 6 or 7 games to gel at minimum. I don't think the Pats were ready/ capable in game 1. We will see for sure this week!
  15. Our O-line is better by way more than a smidge. There's was the worst in football last year. It's a little better this year but still a long way to go
  16. and the beat goes on....
  17. my god this board...ugh I just don't know what to say. I surely am one of the biggest Bills fans on the planet and yet I'm pretty sure I don't at all like what has seemingly become the "typical Bills fan". Just some unbelievable assumptions, conclusions and statements that go on constantly here. It's completely mind-numbing. Yet I keep coming back here day after day, year after year, contributing just occasionally, like a junkie or something Must be those few sensible posters that I really respect that keep pulling me back. Who knows? Fire away if you must...It matters little.
  18. I think it's great what Murphy said last night at one point - That NONE of the reporters/ media including himself have any idea what they are looking at on the field. John himself relies heavily on expert analysis from Mark Kelso, for example, to help formulate his opinions. Also, he is much more of a "glass half full" guy than the blatant delusional homer some claim him to be. The proof is in what he says if you pay attention to the whole thing.
  19. - Nice to lighten things up around here once in a while...
  20. He's THIS popular ! (I've got my arms extended out really wide)
  21. I wish Jerry had his wish... No place I'd rather see JF land then the Cowboys or Patriots, but BB would never be that stupid.
  22. mmmm Dino - been a few weeks
