  1. This is an excellent post. Well balanced thoughts.
  2. It was the same people who put the quality talent and depth around EJ that drafted EJ. So NO , you don't get rid of them (especially Whaley) if EJ happens to not progress (after we give him the FULL season). That would be utterly silly and a repeat of what the organization has already done for the last 15 years.
  3. Hard to watch...Glad I didn't go, Offense looked historically bad. Defense - Up and down. Special Teams - Good coverage - HORRIBLE Punting
  4. I wish the 90's uniforms and helmets could be used for throwbacks now too... It's a bummer
  5. watch it then (its on youtube if you need) None of the incompletions in the 1st 10 passes would be considered a drop. Did guys technically get a finger or a hand on some of the passes? Yes. None of them would be graded as a drop in the coaching area however. The incomplete passes were awful and many to open guys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUb3nYZZ5jw
  6. Those werent drops, those were (every single one of them) bad throws that even a player (gordon) with a 10 foot wing span couldnt gather because they were so off. Not one of those passes from JF was a drop.
  7. Seriously Laughable - did you watch them? Did you see who they both were facing? Did you see the "TD" ? How bout the 1st 10 passes when JF WAS against better competition?
  8. Hoyer is also a better QB, not just a better leader. Not that Hoyer is headed for greatness or anything either.... JF isnt near ready and doesn't pass the anything test as far as NFL football goes. ( Eye-test, accuracy, throwing from pocket, leadership, discipline). Maybe one day he will and you odd fans that are obsessed with him for some reason will feel great. Cheers!
  9. Oh my! Blount with a Blount? Who knew? (Had to....)
  10. Agreed, and I hope this allows them to focus just a little more of the running game outside as opposed to up the gut with little push.
  11. He sure is but remember the whole staff should be fired if EJ doesnt develop
  12. Doesn't appear to have ever been a very good pocket passer to me. Certainly didn't watch all of his college games or anything like that, but to me (from the games and highlights I DID watch) he thrived on the broken-down play, and thats it. It's a great skill to have , but not when it's your only NFL level skill.
  13. It may be a little bit more difficult for our Bills but the current organization has shown the ability to get quality free agents to come in and contribute, and this regime also seems to understand that a team can and should be built via the draft. While the QB position is still a work in progress there is no denying the high level of talent on our football team overall currently. As far as the rest, as others have said, winning will take care of it. It's also notable that the organization has recently been able to bring in players that truly want to be here. Nix had a LARGE part in the improvement you speak of - specifically Whaley, along with a much better draft eye and approach of late. Make no mistake he is still a strong voice in Whaley's ear in regards to player e v a l.
  14. Mario is one of the best DE's against the run in the entire NFL. Period. He shows up on every play and it's all over his game tape. Pick any game when he's healthy (all of last season for example). Saying our team Run Defense was poor and having to do with anything he did is simply incorrect.
  15. WR Final Depth chart: ( ) Sammy Williams Woods Hogan Goodwin Easley
  16. That is my hope as well Just don't understand the shock of the lack of respect
  17. I'd be thinking easy win too if I were a Bears fan. It hurts but we gotta prove ourselves before anyone else takes us seriously
  18. Don't ever do that. I felt the same about what you quoted above. Had to be trolling.
  19. Haha you don't see Mods trolling too often! Either that or you might be one of the more inaccurate viewers of a series of plays in a football game that I've come across in a while.
  20. Good point about the Murph show. To go one further with that on the play by play, Kelso is usually with him and describes what happened and why on every play they talk about. Kelso's X and O opinions CAN be trusted.
  21. More and more continue to misinterpret the OP. Are many just reading from their phones and only seeing part of it? Otherwise, Wow!
  22. From the progression I've seen in him I DO think the current staff CAN make Tuel into a very effective backup. JMO
  23. I don't mean just anyone. I mean people like Mike2332 or wtvr the # was , and folks like that. Proven posters who know what they are seeing (most of the time - we are all wrong at times - I was fooled by Rob Johnson Yipes!). I think we have found a good # of them on this board though.
