  1. PFF is football's version of astrology. It's interesting, kinda cool... There's some conclusions that can be drawn from it at times. And that's about where it ends. Virtual Mario might not be cutting it for some, but real Mario in 2013 appears to be playing at a high level getting sacks, drawing doubles and playing the run, all while dealing with the same injury our sit-out man Byrd has , along with an ankle injury.
  2. Pettine's game-planning and utilization of our talent has been most impressive indeed!
  3. I've said it before... PFF grades on non-skill players are not to be taken seriously. Mario may have had his best game as a pro (that I've seen at least) and was dominant both vs. the pass and run in this game. PFF has not a clue who has outside contain in our hybrid complex defensive scheme from down to down. The grades are interesting and entertaining but not to be taken as gospel.
  4. PFF grades on non-skill position players are about as reliable and accurate as JP Losman was on a screen pass . Marcel had a "feast or famine" type of game last week,,, Mostly feast but got pancacked on 2 big run plays... Was very active and penetrated the LOS well on many occasions. He definitely went "off track" last season but he is showing that he still is not close to his ceiling,m which is encouraging... Fans generally are more week to week in their perspectives, which would kill a franchise if the FO thought that way.
  5. I felt a little bad for Geno last night.... for 3 quarters he played pretty well and and some nice throw placement (followed by some crucial drops by his teammates). Better than I expected to see though. His pocket awareness needs work for sure and then in the 4th quarter he started throwing behind receivers. I definitely think EJ will definitely be the better of the two and more the complete package, but at least now I can see some of his abilities that had people interested in Geno.
  6. Ironically ,that single play may have been the most perfectly played of the day by our defense and they made a lot of good plays. All 11 did their job perfectly. Pass rush was on, Kyle W tipped the pass and the db thumped the wr. Crazy!
  7. Much like Kiko yesterday, I noticed Dareus make both some very nice plays (lot's of penetration on both run and pass plays), and some pretty poor plays (once engaged with an OL got bowled over a couple times). All in all by no means playing like a "Bust" but still room for improvement and his leverage technique needs to get better.
  8. I gotta wonder if people just look at box scores and then come here and post... Anyway , there was no pressure on Brady today other than the constant pressure provided by the scheme of the defense, with players coming from anywhere and all positions. They had Brady on his a$$ today and rushing throws more than any game I can remember vs. him.
  9. McKelvin was very solid today indeed ... Could have had an int but solid. Kiko made some real nice plays that most people saw BUT also severely over-ran the ball carrier on 2 of the longer Pats running plays. And up and down day for him but pretty darn good for a rook in his 1st game.
  10. Thoughts and prayers...
  11. “From what I understand someone is saying sources, I mean I would like to know what sources they’re talking about before they just say sources,” Byrd said. “My focus is really just on football right now honestly. My teammates they mean the world to me. I don’t want to be any distraction to them like we have a big game coming up and we need to be 100 percent focused on New England and that’s that.” Yeah what a douche
  12. Stevie seems to want the Pats to overly-focus their attention on him...Interesting. Not too likely to have any affect but it's worth a try...
  13. That requires reading
  14. A speed guy will is also 6'5"
  15. Yup, there's a Bills logo on him now ... http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7403/tommy-streeter
  16. Agreed thank you! To add- As if Whaley and Nix weren't making every decision together for the last 12 months any way... Do some fans think they are all just isolated and offer up their opinion and then there's a group poll?
  17. Yeah I would love if they are somehow able to trade down and pick up an extra later 1st rounder and take him there if they are gonna take him.

  19. Great numbers indeed. Geno fails the eye test against good defenses in the opinion of some observers however (myself included).
