Last night the announcers think Bradham is a lock
34-78-83 replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Plus the fact that he was drafted this season -
At this point I like McKelvin's work in the slot playing with everything in front of him. AW is gonna have to step it up a bit.

My Annual Thank You Post....(And a Few Thoughts)
34-78-83 replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love your posts Bill. Lot's that I agree with there... My other thoughts: - Brooks is already better than Rogers and has way more upside. - Spiller looked off a bit this pre-season until tonight. Some really good work out there. And he earned a lot in the last quarter of last season. -
Did Lombardi nail it Re: Fitz and offence

Crap I wish I had seen this earlier Simon. And I hope your Steeler friends weren't too mad at Dareus for abusing their draft pick. That was NOT a "field" injury.

rothlesberger blames bills field for decastro injury

This is true and exactly what happened.... Guards are going to have to be very careful trying to Anchor against Dareus this year and beyond. He is an absolute beast. -
Shep gave me some hope that he can be pretty good after watching him get active and upfield last night. Just gotta be consistent.

Can Ryan Fitzpatrick make maximum use of T.J. Graham?

Some interesting points there for sure and thought out, although I disagree that Fitz has a slow release issue at all, and am pretty confident that if one of the best and most knowledgeable quarterback coaches around doesn't beleive the upper body work to be a problem, then I don't either. I do know what you mean about the whipping motion though... -
Sweetest words I've heard out of Training Camp
34-78-83 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny stuff know-it-alls! I've been going to camps and games for 30 years, played when I was young, coaching now. I've see the defenses be "ahead" of offenses too. This was different. This starting D-line is going to be a dominant one. I can evaluate and compare to 30 years of seeing this stuff thanks. You should be excited about it really... The O-line will improve, especially when Wood and Pears start playing. Like I said there was literally no pocket yesterday on pass plays. It was good to see. -

I was there today and the starting D-line is no joke!! Never once was there a pocket on any passing play they (the 1's) were in on. Never once did a back get significant daylight either. If it wasn't MArio disrupting things, it was Marcel. If it wasn't Marcel, it was Kyle. If it wasn't Kyle, it was Anderson. ALL of hem had would-be sacks and stuffs. -
That goes without saying...Doesn't mean that QB is entitled to carry a "record" around with him. That's going too far to me.
-
I'm rooting for VY to do well too, but ALL qb's in the History of the NFL are 0-0..... Siting a "record" to an individual is an insult to the team and to coaching. I've always hated when the media states things like that about players.

Demetress Bell calls Bills' pass-blocking scheme "passive"
34-78-83 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What a terrible scheme it must have been giving up all 23 sacks last season, often times with 2,3 or 4 reserve linemen in place. -

UPDATE: QB Vince Young Signs With Buffalo Bills

Interesting considering Vince and Mario were the hotly debated "who should be the 1st pick in the draft for the Texans?" back in 2006 . -
If kuechly was there at 10.....
34-78-83 replied to Don't stop billievein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah C Brown answered that kinda earlier when a fan asked about it in the draft chat. He basically said that they liked Keuchly (sp?) but only at several spots further down in the round. -
Martin plays the position with athleticism and technique, and has room to grow into his frame. The "too small" crowd needs to return from 1995 and look around the league a little bit. A massive LT can still operate successfully in the league but by no means is it a requirement - see D'brick Ferguson
-
Would love to get Martin at 41!

Does your team building theory now appear in every post? lol, just ribbin' ya man. FWIW - most of the "experts" (very debatable I know) I pay attention to (including Nix himself who has done this for a while) subscribe to "collecting talent" as the best way to draft and get the most value. The one exception being a team that can afford to take risks with their picks because they are already a contender. I get what you keep saying about it though, and it's all really subjective either way.

This is the end of the draft trade value chart debate.
34-78-83 replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Salary bracketing has changed big time. Free Agency also has changed vastly from 1989 (were we even in "plan B" yet?) Both I would think would be major factors. I'm sure every team has a chart for this, but thinking that it hasn't changed , possibly even drastically is probably short-sighted. -
This is the end of the draft trade value chart debate.
34-78-83 replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Having "A Chart" I'm sure is of high importance. Using Jimmy Johnson's outdated chart from the late 80's as your bible is likely not a very good plan, as many factors have changed since then. So, certainly not the end of the debate in my opinion. Using Jimmy's dated chart seems to be a bit foolish in 2012. -
Whatever. Why even waste a reply with this nonsense you spew. Opinions such as mine are what we do here. Or maybe we should all just listen to Mayock and talk about other stuff like our summer plans? Why do I see a trend of folks getting really defensive when talking about this Kuechly kid?
