I heard from several people that Josh absolutely crushed his whiteboard breakdowns like very few before him. When I hear that about all the “next Josh Allen’s” out there, I’ll pay more attention. As for the physical comparisons, Josh has the fastest ball velocity and hand speed ever recorded, so there’s that, too. Off the charts mentally and off the charts physically is rare to say the least.

I don’t know. Trump just doesn’t strike me as the type to conduct a smear campaign against someone.

Tackling has been a league wide issue for several years now. Teams just don’t practice live tackling on a regular basis. It’s all tackling dummies onto padded landing areas for the most part now. The days of the Oklahoma drill are long gone.

I find the race norming conducted by the league in order to save money in concussion awards to be repulsive as it’s the very definition institutional racism. I’m thinking he was mad at how they played those 13 seconds defensively. McD and Co. screwed the pooch by not realizing the game situation. On some levels, that might be harder for a good football coach like Daboll, with no input into the D scheme decisions, to take. His HC literally cost him the AFCCG at home and a chance to go to the SB.

That’s an interesting point. If the story about Ross is true, it was smart of Flores to refuse to attend that meeting with the QB on Ross’s yacht. I wonder who that QB was.

I would have preferred a high kick, but as you implied, the defense screwed the pooch anyway. Squibs aren’t a guarantee that they don’t start in good field position, either. If an up guy fields the kick, chances are they are starting from their 40 or so.

So is it your assumption that would have been the same result in KC? Five seconds off the clock? I highly doubt that. As soon as a KC player fielded the kick and gave himself up, the play would have been whistled dead. One, maybe two seconds at the most would have ticked off. Wouldn’t have mattered much anyway. KC had timeouts and they were getting three plays, regardless.

Yep. Dorsey may be the OC, but make no mistake, this is Josh’s offense and he owns it. It’s not unlike Brady in NE*** as they went thru a string of OCs while he was there and that O never missed a beat because he owned that offense.

Yep. When they announced those interviews yesterday, I took it as a sure sign that Dorsey was officially in the bag.

It was never in doubt that Dorsey was gonna replace Daboll, so yeah, it was a no brainer.

Yep. And Josh has figured the F oughta the defensive genius considered the best ever. It’s simple: Allen will not see any scheme that he hasn’t seen and burnt already. That said, opposing defenses have some great athletes who know the game as well and they’re gonna make a play now and then. I think the days of shutting Josh Allen down have come to an end. Doesn’t mean there won’t be days where he’s just not on and things aren’t clicking, but that’s what teams will have to bank on and it sucks to think that’s your best option as an opposing D. Kind of demoralizing, actually.
