Who said anything about a partial roof? I merely explained why it will take much more raw material (cost) to cover the new stadium than either of the smaller Carrier Dome or Highmark areas. I’d much rather have a dome as well. These 62 year old bones have seen enough days on that field when the relentless cold winds blow.
-
The added cost to cover the new stadium is mostly from the sheer amount of additional area to be covered. Even though it will have some 15k-20k fewer seats than the original Rich Stadium, the footprint will be larger to accommodate bigger seats, much wider concourses, bigger suites, etc. It will simply require a much bigger roof than the Carrier dome.

Buffalo vs New England Wildcard Game: 8:15 PM Saturday Night

I don’t know about Nate Burleson and peer pressure on GMF, but Kay Adams could get me to say just about anything. -
I don’t think Walter Camp ever specified what weather the game of football was meant to be played in.

That’s no coincidence, either. -
At 70, Saban would be nuts to leave the job he has now for the uncertainty of going back to pro ball.

Buffalo vs New England Wildcard Game: 8:15 PM Saturday Night

What people see in him more than anything is his aptitude for the game. He’s very smart on the field; seems to understand why defenses are doing what they’re doing. That’s not insignificant, especially for a rookie. But yeah, his physical limitations will be a detriment at times. When DCs figure out what you can’t do, it’s easier to take away what you can do. -
Have you been watching the young guys with the Americans on a regular basis? Quinn, Krebs, Peterka, and Samuelson have shown more promise than any group of players at that level since Miller, Pominville, Vanek, and Roy were in the AHL. They’re a legit group to be excited about, even for the most cynical fans out there. Where were you expecting the Sabres to finish this year? Everyone knew it was gonna be strictly about development of young players. Are you actually surprised that they’re headed for another bottom five finish?

Do you think the Pats will blitz like the Jets did Saturday?
K-9 replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m more interested in seeing if Bellyache will make McKenzie a focal point. He had no adjustment for the long crossers in the last game. None at all. And Allen repeatedly burned them with those throws to little dirty. That said, I hope he does blitz more because Allen is one of the best at beating it. -
I would prefer Beasley return next year. I support his right to choose his vaccination status. I have ZERO respect for his insistence on violating the same COVID protocols as last year, becoming a distraction while doing so, and filling the twitter verse with the same irresponsible disinformation about COVID, the efforts to mitigate its impact on the health care system, and the benefit that brings to everyone, including his teammates and their families.

If not for the totally weather related issues in the first game, Josh would have had three consecutive great games against the Pats***. Ted Johnson should be concerned whether or not Mac Jones can put together a single good game against the Bills. -
He’s also their only unvaccinated player who refused to simply follow the exact same COVID protocols as last year, as his 100k plus in fines indicates. Not a big ask and the other unvaccinated players had no trouble adhering to those protocols. Beasley chose to play the persecuted diva. I suspect he’s been a pain in the ass for the coaches, trainers, and other staff the entire season as a result. I wonder how many meetings he was asked to leave because he couldn’t deign to simply wear a friggen mask.

Wouldn’t be the first time the wind in that stadium caused a bad long snap. Seen it too many times over the years.
-
The Jets punter dropped a snap, too? Passers and punters have struggled throwing and kicking into that wind since the stadium was built. That said, Haack is just not a very good punter.

344 single points of failure, any one of which would have scuttled the entire project if any one of them did. Amazing. I’m proud of our species. -
This should have been Mitch Trubisky time
K-9 replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall
It should have been Trubisky time every time we sent Josh out to kneel down in victory formation. That way, those rushing yards wouldn’t have been deducted from Allen’s totals. “Get in there, Mitch. And don’t screw it up!” -
