This is what they are saying in New England Land

That’s because he had a cannon and was cocky about it. Josh has done it numerous times himself, including twice just this past Sunday. I cringe every time until the play is over. There are only a few guys who can do that successfully more often than not. It’s not advisable for good reason. -

Are you suggesting Favre didn’t know how to play the game? That he was just a strong armed dummy? If so, I can’t agree with that at all. Players, especially QBs, don’t last that long and set records along the way if they aren’t smart enough about the game. -

Been saying the same thing as well. The kid processes the game at a high level already. I’ll just put it this way, smarts will always get you thru times of no arm more than an arm will get you thru times of no smarts. The world is littered with strong armed QBs who didn’t know how to play the game. -
Yep. So do the Chiefs who have fixed their defense.

These comparisons of rookie years between Allen and Jones are laughable. Jones has had every advantage that Allen didn’t have; chiefly a major league offensive line. Imagine Jones behind that Bills 2018 offensive line, with that group of receivers and tell me honestly how his rookie year would be going.

The review of this play is gonna go a long way in the room tomorrow. That is the epitome of a player who has his teammates’ backs; a perfect illustration of “football character.”
-
How he is as a “human being” has no relevance to how he is as a “football player” and we have plenty of CLUES in that regard. He’s a total douche bag of a player and has been since he’s been in the league. He can be canonized and nominated for Sainthood tomorrow and it wouldn’t change that fact.

I’ll add two more what ifs to the scenario: if Sanders hangs on to that TD, if Kumerow hangs on to that TD or if Knox’s TD isn’t nullified by penalty in the same drive, then it’s 37-21 with seven minutes to go instead. The what if game is a loser’s lament.

Dawkins DESTROYED Judon on that play; just completely erased him. -

Kudos to Daboll who took full advantage of Belichick’s tendencies to take away your best players and make you live or die with lesser options. I think the all 22 will show Diggs and Knox were their focus and Daboll did a great job of scheming open McKittrick and having Motor available over the middle as an outlet. Belichick never countered as evidenced by not having to punt the entire game. -

That’s a good D front they controlled today, too. -

I’m sure they were looking forward to offering up their condescending crap like they’ve done for the better part of 20 years. Screw ‘em. -

Tim Graham still shilling for his good friend Jerry. F YOU, Timmah. I’m glad Poyer took that crap question from Sullyhack personally. It should stick with a player. Fuel.- 506 replies

I can see that. He’s been the beneficiary of a great run game and defense. But if that defense can’t stop a team like they couldn’t today, he’s gonna struggle. -

I can’t agree that Jones is trash as he makes the correct decisions most of the time and that’s not insignificant, especially for a rookie.. He may lack the physical ability to complete the execution of that good decision making though. He’s got game manger written all over him at the moment though.- 506 replies

Ah, that was sweet. Wasn’t as close as the final score indicated either, imo. We couldn’t convert on another first and goal late in the first half after Hyde’s first pick (credit to the NE*** defense) and had TDs taken away by a drop and then a penalty on our first drive in the second half. Patriots didn’t stop us all day as no punts usually indicates. Credit to that make shift O line as well. They got it done against a good D front. Credit to McD for having faith in his defense and going for it on those fourth downs. McKittrick was a revelation today, especially with Davis and Beasley out. Belichick with a rare display of post game sportsmanship when he shook Josh’s hand and congratulated on the field. Josh Allen. I don’t think he’s ready to hand the torch to Mac Jones just yet, in spite of the hype. Allen showed him the living definition of being able to put a team on your back. ‘Nuff said.- 506 replies

Depends how much of it is built above grade. Also, from the aerial view above, the new stadium appears to be oriented a bit more north/south with less of the end zone directly exposed to the prevailing winds. -

You might appreciate this video as well. The sheer enthusiasm Dr. Mather has for his work is like the wonder of a child and it’s infectious. -

The definition of irony. -
Words of encouragement can do wonders, yet it is up to the player to summon the internal wherewithal. If he doesn’t have that self motivation drive, no words are going to instill it. Maybe you need a coach to help you find that motivation to figure it out.
-
There is nothing a coach can say, NOTHING AT ALL, to provide extra “juice.” If a player can’t provide his own motivation, he doesn’t have what it takes in the first place. Everyone loves the romantic idea of a Knute Rockne willing a team to victory with his words, but that’s never been the case.
